Chat LIVE with John Krasinski from THE OFFICE TONIGHT!

Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly are getting married on Thursday, and we’ve got the groom-to-be right before his big day. THE OFFICE’s John Krasinski will be chatting LIVE exclusively on GiveMeMyRemote.com on tonight – Tuesday, October 6th at 8pm est/5pm pst.
UPDATE: Thanks to John for hanging out with us tonight. And thanks to all of YOU that participated in tonight’s chat. Over 850 of you took part with more than 1,100 questions/comments logged in during our hour long chat.
We were only scheduled to chat for 30 minutes, but I got a call half way through saying that John wanted to chat with all of you a bit longer. How cool is that? Clearly you made him feel pretty comfortable.

John has had quite the year. In addition to his role as Jim Halpert on THE OFFICE, John has had a number of film projects keeping him busy. Earlier this year he starred along side Maya Rudolph in “Away We Go“, a heartfelt and poignant film about the journey of two people searching for a place to call home for them and their unborn baby. John was lauded for his performance in a movie which the Associated Press called “honest, humorous and ultimately moving.”
John’s directorial debut, “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men“, which he also wrote and starred in, debuted at Sundance earlier this year and was recently released in select theaters. John also wrapped production on “It’s Complicated” in which he stars along side Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. The movie is slated to be released later this year. Not bad company to keep.
Needless to say, we are thrilled that John would take the time to chat with us and with YOU!

I’ll try to get these questions in the mix, but with the logistics as they are, it might be difficult to get in Q’s that aren’t entered during the live chat.

I hope you all enjoyed the chat. The questions never stopped pouring in during the whole hour. I really tried to keep up with them as best I could. I wanted to get in a good mix of questions about The Office and specifically for John.
For those of you who expected a more traditional open chat with John, I’m sorry. I hope it was still ok for you. There was just no way I could open up the chat room without it turning into complete chaos.
I just wanted to say that I think JK chose you Kath because the vibe here is so good. I’ve stopped reading everyone else, I just feel like they are either way negative or have weird motives. JK seems to have such class and taste and it shows everytime he speaks, obviously choosing to chat with you is yet another example of what a cool person he is.

I’m glad I was alone during this chat, because if anyone could actually see how my hands were shaking at the beginning it would have been embarrassing. I had visions of my internet connection going out, my site crashing, and only getting comments that said “i love you John” for the full hour.

The chat was only supposed to be 30 minutes. I got a call around 8:15pm saying that John wanted to extend the chat. Again, how great is he. And it’s a testament once again to all of YOU for making him feel so welcome.
john def did not disappoint, he’s just as funny and charming as on the screen! and how gracious of him to take extra questions beyond his promised time. i honestly think he would’ve loved to chat all night with his fans 🙂 thanks to this site for giving us an opportunity to interact with JK!

He’s so wonderful, down to earth and humble. Okay, now I can’t stop with the accolades: he’s extremely funny, and smart, and so very generous to do this. I’ve been a fan since the first airing of Diversity Day and for awhile lived in fear that the show would be canceled because it was just TOO good. John’s a great part of the terrific team that makes it such a quality comedy. It’s wonderful that the show has gone on long enough that we get to see the once star crossed couple getting married. I’m so proud to be an Office fan! Thanks GMMR for hosting this! (And Kath I can’t stop laughing at your fear of getting “I love you John” comments for the entire hour! Goodness, he IS lovable!)

As for John, what an incredible guys…every time I see an interview or talk show he’s on I think “how can I possibly love him anymore” and then…he does another interview! I am glad for writing to let you know of the wonderful experience my friend’s girl went via reading the blog.
