In the end the Bluth’s found a good home, but the real patriarch of Arrested Development didn’t feel he could live there. Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development, has decided not to continue on as showrunner, a role that had he chosen to take, would have landed Arrested Development on Showtime. The fans have been so ardent in their devotion and in return … I’ve given everything I can to the show in order to try to live up to their expectations,” Hurwitz told Daily Variety on Monday. “I finally reached a point where I felt I couldn’t continue to deliver that on a weekly basis.”
Does this mean the end of the Bluth’s? Pretty much…yeah. But will we see them reunited on the big screen someday? Hurwitz hinted that it could be a possibility.
