Rosie O’Donnell to Be the New Co-Host on “The View”
April 27, 2006 by Kath Skerry
Breaking News!!! Sources are saying that Rosie O’Donnell has been chosen to replace Meredith Viera on The View. I think Barbara Walters is going to be announcing this very soon. A few years ago I would have thought this would have been the obvious choice, but Rose has become very political as of late so I’m not sure how easily she is going to fit in with the other women on the show. I’m not saying I disagree with Rosie’s politics, actually I pretty much agree with everything she says, but I’m not sure she will mesh well. More details as they come.
Well, I think the only person she would not get along with is Elizabeth since she’s a staunch anti-bush person. And maybe Joy too, since she’s the comedian in the group although they both share the same politics. But….I don’t know about her and Star. They share similar politics but she seems pretty annoyed at Star for not admitting to getting her stomach stapled. I saw this on extra, it was the day after Star got her breast lift and she called in giving attitude to Joy. Rosie seemed pretty pissed and seemed more upset at Star than Joy was.
Didn’t Rosie write weird “poetry” about the View recently?
Yes. On Rosie.com, she offers non-puntional (you like that word) prose on all things Rosie. Here’s what she had to say about The View:

Oh, rosie’s poetry like type entries lol Honestly, I missed seeing her on tv and my oh my, I cannot wait to see how she handles Star. And Joy, who has always enjoyed being the comic of the group.
