HUGE shoutout to Fatback for FINALLY figuring out a way for me to get videos back on this site. You rock!!! In honor of this momentous occasion, I thought I might as well start with a video of my boy John Krasinski (Jim Halpert, The Office). If they could give out Emmy’s for best use of facial expressions, this boy would win…hands down!!!

Ok, another Alias episode with NO Michael Vartan?! Are you kidding me?! Let me just say that he best be in every single scene until this damn show ends.
If you missed Alias, the you’re in luck because the FABULOUS Julie wrote another kick ass recap. Make sure you check out her site, TV & Sympathy, and give her some love.
Alias: 30 Seconds
Original Airdate: May 3, 2006
Sydney arrives in Jaipur in a candy-pink suit, acting as a Southern Mary Kay type who wants to check out the customer service at a call center. Flashback to Marshall explaining to Syd how Anna’s calls are being routed through the call center — all she needs to do is get a perfume spritzer (“L’Eau de Passion” – quelle horreur!) near the wifi so they can intercept the signal. Syd spritzes the perfume around and leaves it near a desk, but it isn’t close enough. Thinking quickly, Renee spontaneously breaks in to the call center to stage a holdup as a distraction that allows Syd to access the wifi. Afterwards, telling Renee her stunt was brilliant, Sydney gives her the hard sell to join APO. Renee isn’t buying.
Sloane meets with Joseph to get details about Nadia’s resurrection. Joseph alludes to the cure being designed by Rambaldi, which is logical given that her illness was due to Rambaldi. Sloane professes he’s just there for Nadia. He is concerned, however, that the cure requires him to stop her heart, if only briefly. Oh, Sloane. What’s there to wonder? You’ve done so much worse.
Over the wifi, the APOers hear Peyton discussing a transaction with one of Anna’s contacts. They track down the contact by satellite, locating him in Zurich and get video of him opening a briefcase containing Page 47. Peyton, in Barcelona, tells the contact she wants him to decipher a message hidden in the page. Once she hangs up, Peyton talks to Anna (now Syd’s evil twin), who assures her their contact will come through.
But why, the APOer’s wonder, is Peyton meeting with one of Anna’s contacts? I can’t imagine why, but I’m guessing it’s got something to do with the fact that she’s pure evil. Jack speculates that Sloane may know something about Page 47, since he had it in his personal collection for a long while.
Meanwhile, Sloane is at Nadia’s bedside, contemplating how to restore her. He begins to suffocate her, saying “it’s the only way” as he starts to cry. She flatlines into commercial…but Sloane works feverishly to fill a syringe with the formula for her cure. Jack arrives and tries to stop him, thinking Sloane intends to put Nadia out of her misery, but Sloane pushes him away and administers the shot. Is it too late? No – to Sloane’s relief, Nadia begins breathing and regains consciousness.
One on One with The Office’s Brian Baumgartner

If you’re a regular reader of Give Me My Remote, you may have picked up on my fondness for Brian Baumgartner who plays Kevin Malone on The Office. I think Kevin is one of the best character’s on the show, but it’s Brian perfect delivery of the lines which makes Kevin so funny. I’ve neer met Brian, but I will say that in my limited interaction with him, he’s a friggin’ cool guy.
Brian recently talked with the people over at HoboTrashcan about his life, in and outside of The Office. Check it out here.
And as always, you can hear the latest from “Kevin” over at his MySpace page. And don’t think I am completely stoked to be in his Top 8. Love ya Kevin/Brian!!!
P.S. While you are over at HoboTrashcan, make sure you check out the interviews with Angela Kinsey (Angela) and Kate Flannery (Meredith).
Welcome to “The Office” Thursday

It’s Thursday, so you know what that means…it’s all about “The Office”. My favorite show is back with a new episode tonight, and from what I hear it’s going to be a doozy. Yes, a doozy. Throughout the day, I will be posting more “Office” tidbits, interviews, etc, so make sure you check back here throughout the day for all the latest Office gossip.
First up….its all about Jenna Fischer
Jenna Fischer’s TV Guide Blog is up. It gives some pretty good information about tonight’s episode, including this little tidbit.
Finally, for everyone who loves stuff about Jim and Pam, tonight’s episode sets up the finale. We find out that Jim has a secret and it’s not what might you think. I’ve read a lot of rumors about how the show will end this season and all I’ll say is that no one has gotten it right yet.
But if you are a spoiler/spec freak, you might want to check out this post from the GMMR message boards. It could be a glimpse into what happens with Jim and Pam tonight. Click here for The Office spoilers for “Conflict Resolution”
Jenna (and Angela) recently participated in The Joseph Podcast. These guys are having some bandwidth issues right now, so Angela’s podcast isn’t available. But, Jenna’s is. Just head over to NorthernAttack.com and check out the 2nd item under “Required Reading”. Oh, and for you Jammers, you have to listen to Jenna’s take on last week’s (Drug Testing) “Hi…Hey” moment. Sigh. Shout out to my friend Jennie from OfficeTally.com for asking the great question.
Paris Bennett is Kicked Off American Idol (May 3, 2006)

Tonight’s episode started off with an absolute trainwreck of a group number. The Idol hopefuls were struggling to remember the words. I just didn’t love it. And not for nothing but my boy Daughtry is not one for group numbers. I just feel like he sticks out like a sore thumb. A sore thumb that I’d gladly….
But that’s not what tonight is about. It’s about who is going home. With much thanks from my beating heart, Taylor and Chris are quickly identified as being safe. Whew….
The first contestant sent to the bottom 2 was Paris Bennett.
So Paris got to sing herself a little diddy tonight. I really liked her version of Prince’s “Kiss”. I thought it was much better than last night. There is no denying that Paris has the best stage presence of any contestant we have seen all season. But the best part of her performance was when near the end of the song, she lost her mic pack, and Seacrest had to dance, yes, dance himself on to the stage to give it back to her. If I could only figure out how to put damn youtube.com videos on this site, I would show it to you. It was crazy high on the unintentional comedy scale.
Elliott Yamin joined Paris in the bottom two. So bummed. I was so hoping it would be Katharine. Nothing against her, but I just really dig Elliott’s voice. And I was hoping for an all male final.
Elliot worked it out with his version of “On Broadway”. Paula was toking it up before the show again. Seriously, can’t anyone control her. Oh, and Justin Guarini was in the audience. Viva la Guarini.
In the end it was Paris Bennett who was sent packing. Best of luck to ya Paris. I’m not worried about your future. I think we are going to be hearing more from you in days to come.
Breaking News From “The OC”

Television diva Kristin Veitch is reporting that three of her reliable sources have confirmed that Mischa Barton will in fact be leaving “The OC”, and may only appear as a guest star next season
From Kristin at E! Online:
I am reporting the news below on tonight’s E! News at 7 pm. I truly believe Mischa Barton will not be a series regular next season on the OC next season, regardless of whether she is the one being killed off. Three reliable sources have confirmed it.
Mischa Barton is leaving “The OC”. That’s what sources connected to the show tell me, that she may appear as a guest star next season, but will NOT be a series regular. A rep for Fox says he quote “…can’t confirm or deny, but viewers will have to tune in to find out on May 18th”.In the meantime, I can tell you with absolute certainty that a major character is being killed off in that finale. It could be Marissa, it oculd be another OC staple. This is a huge twist the producers have been plotting for six months, and who it is has been kept under wraps bu shooting multiple endings and leaving certain pages out of the script. This death will change everything about The OC for next season.

Oh, this is going to be a good night. TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello just got the Veronica Mars season finale screener (dude, how do I get on that list?!) and has posted a list of clues to the season finale. I’ll warn you, you are going to drive yourself crazy trying to fill in the blanks. And no I don’t have the answers, so even if you think you guess right, you’re going to have to wait until next week to find out.
If you are NOT into spoilers, PLEASE stay away from the “comments” section, as that is where people will be posting their guesses.
On to the clues…from Michael:
I just received a screener for the Veronica Mars season finale and included with it was the traditional “Do Not Reveal” list of plot points we’re not allowed to discuss before the episode airs next Tuesday. Good thing the note didn’t say anything about replacing half the letters with asterisks and then posting it on my blog.
For the Veronica Mars second season finale, please don’t reveal:
****** is ******** at graduation. Mac tells Veronica that ****** *** **** * ****. What transpires at the Neptune Grand rooftop. ******** that would indicate that ****** ** *** *******. That Veronica looks at *** ****** ****** ******* and figures out *** *** ******* ****** **. Anything that reveals that ******** and ***** are ************ ****** at the end of the episode. Sneak Peek at What The American Idols are Singing Tonight

The fabulous Michael K from Dlisted posted the songs that each of the remaining American Idol contestants will perform tonight. For those of you not in the know, each contestant will sing one song from the year they were born, and then one song from today’s Billboard Top 10 charts.
Paris Bennett — “Kiss” by Prince (Tom Jones in 1988) and “Be Without You” by Mary J. Blige.
Katharine McPhee — “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins and “Black Horse and Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall
Taylor Hicks — “Play that Funky Music” by Wild Cherry and “Something” by the Beatles (George Harrison wrote this one)
Elliot Yamin — “On Broadway” by George Benson and “Home” by Micheal Buble
Chris Daughtry — “Renegade” by Styx and “I Dare You” by Shinedown
Don’t recognize some of today’s songs? Yeah, me neither, but remember, they can be from ANY of the Billboard Top 10 charts (pop, R&B, country, adult contemporary, etc).
I so wish they had to choose songs from Billboard’s Hot Top 10 because I would have loved for somebody (and by somebody I mean Elliott) to attempt a hip hop song.
As always….Go Chris! Go Taylor!
I think I’m ready to see Paris go tonight. Sorry, girl, but someone has to.

The season finale of Veronica Mars will be here before you know it (sigh). Lucky for you, we’ve got some great shots of Veronica and her friends from their Neptune High, Class of 2006 Graduation.
Here’s a preview of the pics, as well as the episode description, courtesy of our friends at UPN.
After learning the identity of the perpetrator responsible for the bus crash, Veronica hurries to warn others, but ends up putting herself in an extremely perilous situation. Meanwhile, Keith enlists Veronica’s help in his ongoing investigation of Woody and asks her go undercover to get some vital information from Woody’s lawyer. Veronica Mars: Happy Go Lucky

Yeah, “Happy Go Lucky” those are just the words I think of when I think of our little Veronica Mars. Looking forward to tonight’s episode. Let’s hope the writers didn’t completely forget about last week’s LoVe scenes. I hate when writers push a storyline forward only to pretend it didn’t happen during the next week’s show (cough *The Office* cough)
Just as I do with Sydney Bristow on Alias, I love it when we get to see the more personal side of Veronica. This girl is dealing with a lot of crazy issues in her life, so I really do enjoy the scenes when she’s actually being girly, or at least acting like a “normal” teenager. That’s why I enjoy her scenes with Logan so much. That and the chance we get to see Jason Dohring shirtless.
This hot chick that I know was kind enough to send me Veronica Mars Season One on DVD, so I’ve been watching the show non-stop lately. In Season One we got to see a lot more of Veronica during her “down time” and I forgot how much I missed it.
The folks at UPN were kind enough to send along the description of tonight’s episode (SPOILERS WARNING).
AS AARON ECHOLLS’ TRIAL COMES TO AN END,TENSIONS RISE AS A VERDICT IS ABOUT TO BE DELIVERED, ON “VERONICA MARS,” TUESDAY, MAY 2 ON UPN
“Happy Go Lucky” — As Aaron Echolls’ (guest star Harry Hamlin) trial is about to conclude, tensions rise as Veronica, Keith and Logan take the witness stand to testify against him, on VERONICA MARS, Tuesday, May 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
Meanwhile, after Veronica finds a suspicious e-mail in Woody’s (guest star Steve Guttenberg) computer, Keith turns to Sheriff Lamb with evidence to arrest Woody, but Lamb refuses, believing that Keith is trying to turn him into a laughing stock. Also, to everyone’s surprise, Neptune High’s janitor Lucky brings a gun into school with the intent to find Gia.
Don’t forget to check out the Veronica Mars boards at the GMMR forums. Share your bus crash theories, and your undying LoVe for all things Logan Echolls.
And as always, make sure you check out the Veronica Mars t-shirts, and more at the GMMR Online Store.

A friend just called and asked if I wanted to grab a drink after work tonight. I said sure, but we have to be back at my apartment by no later than 7:58pm. See, after last week’s debacle, I cannot, repeat, cannot risk missing Prison Break tonight.
Thanks to all of you who shared your recaps, and links to video clips. I can’t say I’m completely caught up on all the details, but I think I’m as close as I’m going to get. I’ll try my best to write up a recap tonight, but it all depends on how exhausted I am. I am having one of those days at the office when the minutes are slowing passing by. I am so ready to get out of here.
If I do get to a recap, it’s going to be a bit later than usual. The Yankees are in town tonight, and I need to spend some QT cheering on my Sox. Welcome back Doug Mirabelli…we missed you!!!
Kellie Pickler’s Daddy Released from Prison
May 1, 2006 by Kath Skerry

Kellie Pickler is taking the good with the bad these days. Although she was recently booted from American Idol, Kellie has received some good news on the family front. Kellie’s Dad, Clyde Pickler, will be released this Monday from Florida State Prison after serving a three year sentence for stabbing a neighbor in his trailer park. And no, I’m not joking.
Kellie’s daddy woes have been well documented from day one of her Idol stint. The producers tried to play up Kellie’s family drama as much as they possibly could. I was actually shocked that they didn’t do a live feed from her daddy’s jail cell during the week the contestants got messages from home.
Kellie talked openly with the press last week about her family woes:
“I got a lot of criticism for crying about my dad and my mom and family in the beginning, but it was really hard for me” said Kellie. “It’s not like I was used to getting on national television and talking about my life. It was embarrassing and I didn’t want to hurt my dad, but I knew if I didn’t come out in the beginning … that people would find out about it anyway. The most important thing you can do is be honest. And I’m not ashamed about my life anymore.”
Kellie has been working the talk show circuit since her booting. We’ll see her again, probably near the very end of the season, when the ex-Idol’s come back to promote their upcoming live tour which will kick off this summer.

If you missed your favorite ABC show, fret no more. ABC is now offering viewers the chance to watch some of their top shows online…for free. Head over to ABC.com to watch the latest episodes of Lost, Alias, Desperate Housewives and Commander in Chief. Again, you don’t have to pay to watch these shows, but you do have to deal with commercials. I guess that’s a pretty fair trade.
