It was over too soon. Although that is my thought at the end of every episode of The Office, it felt particulary true last night. We’ve been waiting months for the S3 premiere and to finally see the ramifications of Jim’s confession of love and his kissing Pam. Months filled with speculation based on spoilers and foilers (yes, Jenna Fischer you are a sneaky girl). But the moment came and went all too soon. Here’s how it played out:
Jim: You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that
Pam: Mee too. I think we’re drunk.
Jim: I’m not drunk. Are you drunk?
Pam: No
[Jim leans in for another kiss]
Pam: Jim
Jim: Are you still going to marry him?
[She nods]
Jim: Ok
[Jim walks away]
Um, what?! Hello..what the hell happened. I thought he loved her. He walked away pretty easily, too easily in my opinion. Some will argue that he gave it a shot, “once”, and that’s all he ever wanted. But dude, she told him she had wanted to kiss him too. Doesn’t that mean anything? After all that, he just walks away like it was nothing. I’m still a little bewildered.
John Krasinski on Conan (9/21/06)

My TV boyfriend, John Krasinski (Jim Halpert, The Office) was on The Conan O’Brien Show last night, and he was of course adorable and charming. We got some dancing and a Christopher Walken impression. Could you ask for more? Depsite the emails I received, no, I was NOT the girl screaming out “Woo Hoo Newton, MA” in the audience. And I don’t know about you, but the idea of John opening up a Dunkin’ Donuts along with Matt & Ben is just about the cutest thing this girl has ever heard.

P.S. Just a few more Office-related posts today and then I’m done. I’m spent. I need a Dunder Mifflin break, as I’m sure all of you do as well.
“The Office” & “Grey’s Anatomy” S3 Threads are Open

Well this is it. My last post before the start of The Office and Greys’s Anatomy. I just wanted to ask that NO ONE post any kind of spoilers in the comments today. There are people on the West Coast that aren’t watching the shows until much later, and then there are some that are TiVoing the show to watch later. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone.
That being said, I want to dish with you all about tonight’s season premieres. So to that end, I’ve just set up the first Season 3 threads for The Office and Grey’s Anatomy in the GMMR Forums. I was giddy with excitement!! Enjoy, and I better see you all in there soon.

The Office LIVE Chat TONIGHT!! REMINDER!!
September 21, 2006 by Kath Skerry
Filed under The Office, TV News
Hope to see you all tonight at the first “Office” TVj session of the new season over at BuddyTV.com The chats have been so much fun and I really love meeting new fans of the show every week. I’m really looking forward to watching the show with all of you. Click on the link below and set a ‘reminder’ for tonight’s chat.
I don’t know how many people are going to show up tonight, but there could be a good crowd. I have a feel most of the chatting will be happening during the commercial breaks as all of our attention will be on the show. But, in case there’s a crowd, here’s a few tips to make the chat better:
(1) PLEASE PLEASE avoid repeating lines from the show. We are all watching it…we heard it…we saw it. When 20 people are repeating lines, the chat gets really hard to ready.
(2) Avoid posting comment after comment. Write what you want and then take a moment to let others respond.
(3) Remember, even if Pam is married to Roy tonight, no punching, kicking, or knife throwing is allowed in the chat!!
John Krasinski & Jenna Fischer at NBC Experience Store (Update)

Non-Office fans must be really hating me right now. Then again, if you are not a fan of The Office, you probably gave up on me a long time ago.
So as many of you know there was an early morning apperance from John Krasinski & Jenna Fischer on The Today Show. Right after, the two on-screen loves (fingers crossed people…fingers crossed) took some time to meet lucky fans and sign a few DVDs at the NBC Experience Store in NYC.
GMMR reader Josh756 just sent along these two pics from the event. Also, randisayrelax posted a bunch more over at the Office LJ Community.

Thanks to Laura for this fab video of Jenna & John.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 3 Premiere Tonight
September 21, 2006 by Kath Skerry
Filed under Grey's Anatomy, TV News
I’ll be honest with you. I have three favorite shows, I know that sounds like I’m saying I have three best friends, but it’s true. Of all the TV I watch (and I watch a lot). There are 3 shows that I would be utterly devastated without. The first is The Office (duh), next is Veronica Mars, and the third is Grey’s Anatomy.
By far the BEST drama on TV, Grey’s Anatomy is the perfect blend of drama, comedy and let’s face it…pretty, pretty people. The writing is insanely good, as are the actors. Each and everyone of them bring a complexitiy unparalled in TV today.
As a self-admitted TV addict, I love the behind-the-scenes action almost as much as I do what we see play out on the screen each week. To this end, Grey Matter brings me such joy. Grey Matter (www.GreysWriters.com) is a blog written and maintained by Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Shonda Rhimes. Each week Shonda and her staff of writers post about their experience writing that week’s episode. Where did the storylines come from? What was happening on a particular day of shooting? Why did they make the writing choices they did? I personally find it extremely fascinating.
In this week’s blog, Shonda Rhimes talks about her anxiety over Grey’s Anatomy moving to the new Thursday night time slot.
The head of ABC Steve McPherson (seriously, would it surprise you to know that I secretly call him McFee?) was all, âShonda, weâre moving you to Thursdayâ and I was all, âWhoo-hoo!â And I got really super excited. Because Thursday? Is a rocking night for television. I did some dances of joy.
Then I woke up this morning and, out of nowhere, found myself FREAKED OUT. Because Thursdays? Is a rocking night for television.
âŚdo me a favor and set your VCRs and your Tivos and most important, plant your heinies in front of the TV Thursday night at 9 pm and watch. Okay? So I donât burst a blood vessel in my brain from the stress?
Even up against the powerhouse CSI, I think the doctors of Seattle Grace are going to hold their own just fine. I mean, seriously, is anyone out there not dying to find out who Meredith chooses? I can’t imagine a tougher decision in life – McVet (Chris O’Donnell) or McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey), not that’s just not fair.
And what about Izzie? She cut the L-Vad wire, Denny died (wait, I need a moment…ok), she quit the intern program. What is going to happen with our little trailer park surgeon? And will Alex Karev help her through this rough time? Burke too is in jeopardy. After being shot, he is in risk of losing his ability to perform heart surgery, and perhaps in risk of losing Christina. Will Yang stay with Preston if he is no longer a world renowned surgeon? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. And don’t get me started on how excited I am to see my little George O’Malley tonight. The boy is adorable, and I hope he catches a few breaks this season. I’m already in love with his new love Callie (Sara Ramirez) and I hope those crazy kids can find some time for fun.
So yeah, as excited I am for that other show to premiere tonight, I am equally as excited to see Grey’s Anatomy back for its 3rd season. What a FANTASTIC night of TV!!! And count on GiveMeMyRemote.com to be back each and every Friday with a full recap of Grey’s Anatomy.
Jenna Fischer & John Krasinski on The Today Show

I’m not even going to apologize for the ridiculous amount of Office related posts today. It’s the Season 3 premiere of my favorite show, and the only way I’m going to make it until 8:30pm tonight is to get my full fix of Office gossip throughout the day. It’s days like these that I’m happy to have GMMR.
Jenna Fischer (Pam) and John Krasinski (Jim) sat down with Meredith Viera on The Today Show this morning to talk about Season 3. They have mastered the art of not spoiling anything, but then again we only have to wait about 9 more hours so I guess I can deal.

The Daily Show: 10 F#@cking Years – Even Stevphen

I’ve been a loyal fan of The Daily Show for a looooong time. Yes, even during that dark time known as the Kilborn era. And for all those years, nothing has made me laugh more than the Even Stevphen bits. Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert were beyond hysterical. Check out these clips.
The first is a look back at some of the classic Even Stevphen moment from this past Tuesday episode of The Daily Show.
[gv data=”O0qxkc4x_mo”][/gv]
This second clip is my personal FAVORITE Even Stevphen clip of all time. This is hysterical. Steve Carell is so unbelievably convincing as a drunk in this sketch, I actually thought he might have been hammered. I went as far as asking Carell’s “Office” co-star, the fabulous Angela Kinsey, but she didn’t think he was. Guess that means I’m going to have to meet Steve someday and ask him, right? UPDATE: According to this article, I guess Steve was actually drunk. He’s so method đ

House Recap: Informed Consent
September 20, 2006 by Kath Skerry
Filed under House, House Recap, TV News
We’ve got a new HOUSEkeeper here at GiveMeMyRemote.com. Please take a moment to welcome LaLa to the GMMR Team. She’ll be taking on the task of recapping the fabulous House every week.
Title: Informed Consent
Original Airdate: 9/19/06
To state the obvious, life is far from a cabaret for guest star Joel Grey on tonightâs episode of âHouseâ. Though, I canât say that I feel too poorly for his character, a doctor who once callously injected newborn babies with radiation in order to learn more about cancer â all without parental consent. And on top of that, he also callously injects cute, innocent white rats with cancer and then casually kills and dissects them. Itâs during a routine performance of the later cruel deed that Dr. Baby-and-Animal-Killer (or BAK for short), suddenly chokes and passes out in his office.
Cut to the hospital, and entering stage left, a once-again cane wielding House presents Dr. BAKâs case to his minions, who are more concerned about the sudden return of the cane than anything else â especially Cameron. But as usual, House wonât acknowledge any inquiries about his own well being, and soon his minions are off performing tests on Dr. BAK. They try a stress test to determine whether the problem is in his heart or his lungs, but learn nada since the guy can barely walk anyway, let alone breathe. Only after House busts in and injects Dr. BAK with a special speed-up-your-heart-rate serum that they learn the problem is in his lungs. Great.

I’m feeling a bit under the weather today, and I’m fighting to keep my eyes open. Sorry for the lack of posts. But I hope to make it up to all you Veronica Mars fans by posting this ridiculously hot picture of Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls) and Kristen Bell. Let’s hope we see a lot more LoVe in S3…although I’m not counting on it. Logan always figures out a way to screw up royally when it come to little Miss Veronica.
If you are a fan of Veronica Mars, check out Mo Ryan’s interview with Rob Thomas for good S3 scoop. And thanks to Mo for this HOT pic.
