Get Ready…Here They Come: The CW is HERE!!!

It’s not everyday that a brand spanking new network launches. So the launch of the all new CW is pretty exciting news in TV land. For those of you who have been living void of all forms of communication for the past year, The CW is the result of a merger between The WB and UPN. The CW now houses the best shows from each network. Well, techincally they aren’t the best shows because if that were the case Everwood would be still be on the air, and the dreadful 7th Heaven would have sung its last hymn. But in any event, I’m pretty excited and I hope you are too.
To properly honor the event, stars of The CW came together last night for a kickoff celebration. A party was held, and it looked to be a fun time filled with pretty people (yes, I’m talking to you Ryan Hansen).
Lucky for all of us, Entertainment Tonight was invited into the soiree and will be sharing some of their footage tonight. ET’s Ryan Devlin and One Tree Hill’s Hilarie Burton will host The CW Preview Special tonight at 9/8c. This special includes footage from the CW Network’s premiere party on the Warner Bros. Studio lot. Featuring red carpet interviews with the network stars, the show also includes exclusive footage from inside the party. The hosts will visit with Tyra Banks (“America’s Next Top Model”), Tom Welling (“Smallville”), Lauren Graham (“Gilmore Girls”), Kristen Bell (“Veronica Mars”), Tracee Ellis Ross (“Girlfriends”), Donnie Wahlberg (“Runaway”), Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill”) Sophia Bush (“One Tree Hill”) among many others.
And you came to the right place to get a sneak peek at last night’s festitives. Check out these great pics of some of your favorite CW stars as they celebrate!!

Title: “Map 1213”
Original Airdate: September 18, 2006
Previously on Prison Break…click here.
Michael and Lincoln are continuing on the never ending road trip from hell. These two would probably kill for XM Satellite Radio, or at the very least an iPod with a good playlist right about now, but they are stuck with the crappy car radio – a radio that informs them that Abruzzi was taken down. They were both a bit surprised that the mob boss was the first to go. But they are focused on moving forward towards Utah to get their hands on Westmoreland’s money. Well Michael is focused. The not-so-focused Lincoln suggests they break LJ out of jail and continue on to Panama. Michaels gets pissed. Lincoln, dude, when are you going to realize that Michael is the brains and you are the beauty. Oh wait, Michael is the brains and the beauty…you are…um, the driver! yeah the driver so just shut up and drive.
Catching up with all the other escaped cons….
Tweener brings a whole new meaning to the term “share-a-ride”. While the others are making their way across the country Tweener is still whispering naked sweet nothings into the ear of his co-passenger, Debra Jean. As they bask in their FFG, there’s a knock at the door. Debra Jean looks out the window to see a cop. Tweener hides in the bathroom, as she opens the door and the cop shoves a pic of Tweener in her face, and asks if she has seen him. Even when she hears that he has escaped from prison, she still claims to not know him. The cop leaves and Tweener emergesand tries to explains that he isn’t dangerous – not like the other guys. Debra Jean, who must have some SERIOUS issues with men, looks at him sadly and then suggests that when she get back from her walk, he and her car should be gone. Yeah, she’s not that stable, but whatever, we all have issues. Tweener takes the car and abandons it on the side of the road, close to Utah.

Deal or No Deal – Season Premiere
The game show begins its second season with the first of four episodes airing this week. The top prize is $1 million for the first game, and it increases by $1 million for each additional game during the week, leading up to $6 million.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip – Series Premiere

Just got back from my weekend away so I’m sorry for posting this so late, but just a reminder that today we are saying goodbye to The WB. The network that brought us Felicity, Buffy, Dawson’s, Everwood and countless other fan favorites is signing off.
To commemorate the event, The WB is airing the pilot episodes of their most classic shows (well at least the ones that have previously been shelved). Say goodbye by remembering the best that The WB had to offer. I just caught the last of Felicity and was once again reminded by the genius of JJ Abrams….ah, we knew you when sir. I’m settled in for the rest of the evening to watch the rest of the farewell.
Angel – 6/5c
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – 7/6c
Dawson’s Creek – 9/8c
Guess, it’s time to get ready for the all new CW. If you aren’t sure if you have The CW in your area, drop me a line and I’ll see if I can find out for you.
Veronica Mars Season 3 Premiere Synopsis

Well it’s that time of year again. The anticipation of opening my email and finding those little trinkets and gifts from my friends at the network. This weekend, we got a little something from my friends over at The CW who work on a little show you may have heard me mention called Veronica Mars.
You can count on GMMR to cover this fab show in great detail this season, and we already have a few little gems planned for you all. But more on that later.
For those of you who just can’t wait, here’s a synopsis of the Season 3 premiere which we can all check out on The CW on October 3rd at 9/8c.
Episode Title: Welcome Wagon”SYNPOSIS: Veronica (Kristen Bell) is in true form from the moment she and boyfriend Logan (Jason Dohring), along with close friends Wallace (Percy Daggs III) and Mac (Tina Majorino), set foot on the campus of Hearst College. Wallace enlists Veronica’s help when his new roommate, Piz (Chris Lowell), has all his belongings stolen. While working on Piz’s case, Veronica learns that the campus serial rapist has struck again. Meanwhile, Keith (Enrico Colantoni) runs into trouble while transporting a recently released convict across the country to reunite him with Kendall (guest star Charisma Carpenter, “Charmed”).
Ah, I can’t wait for Veronica Mars to come back and thrill us with her crafy ways and wit. Soon enough….soon enough.

UPDATE: WOW! The response to this post has been simply overwhelming. The sheer amount of emails I received was unbelievable. I’m going to take the time to get back to each and everyone of you. Many of you are interested in covering the same shows, so I have a lot to think about. Honestly, the best writers are going to have their first picks…and I hope you all appreciate that. So if you wrote to me, and I haven’t responded, I will. And thanks to each and everyone one of you who took the time to volunteer to help make GiveMeMyRemote.com a better site for all.
-GMMR
With the Fall TV season upon us, I’m starting to grasp the number of shows that I won’t be able to cover on GMMR. It bums be out that I can’t cover more shows for y’all, but there are only so many hours in the day, and until GMMR becomes a paying gig, there’s not much more I can do.
So here’s what I’m thinking. How would YOU like to be a GMMR contributor? We are always looking for smart and witty writers to provide recaps, reviews and info on the best that TV has to offer.
I wish I could say there a lot of perks…but there aren’t. Sorry. But hopefully the adoration of your readers will suffice. We’ve already got a number of shows covered, but there are biggies like Survivor, House, Studio 60 and MANY others that I’d love someone to cover is possible.
If you think you might be interested in covering your favorite show for GMMR in the Fall, please drop me a line.
Jim & Pam: The Best Moment We Never Saw
September 15, 2006 by Kath Skerry
Filed under David Denman, Jenna Fischer, Jim Halpert, John Krasinski, Pam Beesly, The Office, TV News
I’m sorry, but John Krasinski is so ridicuously good in this deleted scene from the “Booze Cruise” episode that I just had to share it.
I’m personally glad this scene didn’t make it into the show, because it would have (1) taken away from the impact of the ’27 seconds of silence’ and (2) perhaps forever ruined my vision of Pam Beesly. Because to be honest, I was kind of hating her in this scene. Having just had that HUGE moment with Jim on the deck, it kills me to see her all smiley with Roy again…and then standsby with a huge smile as she watches Jim have to do THIS. That’s just wrong.
WARNING – If you haven’t yet watched the DVDs, you might want to skip this video…yeah right, I dare you NOT to watch.
