Veronica Mars Get a Full Season Pickup (Almost)
November 17, 2006 by Kath Skerry
Alan Sepinwall is reporting that Veronica Mars has just been picked up for the back seven episodes!! Being picked up for the final nine would mean a full season, so it’s hard to say how this will affect the 3rd and final mystery arc. But you know what? I don’t care!! This is GREAT news for Veronica Mars fans. Perhaps not so great news for a 4th season pickup, but I wasn’t really holding my breath on that one anyway. And I’m not going to be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Could I be happier that I pointed you to this information? NO, I could not. YAY FOR SHOW!!!
I’m so happy about that. I just wish they would let them finish the whole 3rd season. I don’t have any high hopes for a 4th season either, but I don’t want it to get cut off early this season.
I don’t understand why they can’t just give them the two measly episodes. I mean seriously…what’s the big difference?
I’m hopeful. And I’m usually not, so I don’t know what that means. 😉
so is it a total of 20 episodes? because if they picked up 7 (on top of the 3 they already gave them) that would bring it up to 23 and i’d be over-the-top excited.
I may just be overthinking the whole scenario but that would make me the happiest girl on the planet.
I think the three were just scripts, but now they’ve really ordered the full episodes. People thought they might’ve ordered fewer episodes because they were trying to cut costs…the CW isn’t making as much profit as they’d hoped.
I saw the Sepinwall item early this morning. It’s the highlight of my week (of course, I didn’t talk to JK on the phone last night).
Aww mintness =]
But, I really want a fourth season 🙁
I can’t live without this show, it would break my heart if it got taken off.
IT BETTER GET PICKED UP FOR THEM ALL AND A NEW FOURTH SEASON LIKE! :[

terrific news! Wondering {and I say this knowing you have a lot on your plate} why you don’t do a VM recap? This week was terrifc. {especially the last 5 minutes} Anyway, thanks for keeping us informed of the TV World. I think you’re on your way to being the “next kristin” 🙂
I’m going to try to write a VM recap this week. All my recappers are SO GOOD about getting their stuff done, and I am THE WORST!!! But on night’s where I can’t even watch the show until after midnight, it’s not as easy 🙂
maybe im on a different planet or something, but what sense does it make that because you aren’t making the amount of money you wanted to (like anyone on the planet is anyway) that you are going to cancel a show with a very substantial following???
Because it’s about the bottom line.
[…] An almost full season of Veronica Mars […]
