Jericho. Are You Watching?
January 9, 2007 by Kath Skerry
I need a show of hands to let me know if any of you are watching Jericho. I caught the first few eps, and while I thought the show was good it wasn’t anything I could make the time for in my already crowded TV schedule. Sometimes sacrifices have to be made in the name of sleep.
But just because I don’t watch it, doesn’t mean you all don’t. CBS occasionally sends along Jericho scoop to share, so if you want me pass along the info, leave a comment and let me know you are watching.

I TiVo the show and watch almost the entire episode in fast-forward, for some reason. If I catch something that seems like it might be particularly significant, I stop and watch the scene. I’ve probably seen all of the episodes aired to date in about one hour, total. I don’t know why – I think it’s like you said: I’m already watching a lot of TV, so it’s hard to fit in :-). Plus, I do think some of the plotlines are a little hokey and show, although the entire premise is interesting.
I meant “slow.” Some of the plots are slow. And when I saw Skeet give the little girl a tracheotomy with juice box straws in the pilot, I laughed out loud. It was so unintentionally funny and the scene seemed to drag out FOREVER. That’s what I meant by hokey.
I really like Jericho, I though the premise sounded a little stupid at first but then they had the first episode free to watch online before the premiere and I’m so glad I gave it a chance. It’s interesting, smart and really well put together. I’m personally hooked, which means they are probably going to cancel it soon 🙂
I really like Jericho. Any scoop you’ve got would be appreciated!
I like Jericho – it’s a different twist on the whole disaster show. Any scoop you can pass on will be appreciated.
Ditto. It’s one of my favorite new shows.
It’s not one of my favorites, but is interesting, and I don’t miss it, it just sometimes is a while before I watch it on TIVO (I watch others first!)…but..if you get scoop, spill it!
I agree with Michelle… I tend to watch parts of each show. The overall plot line is intriguing but as to specific sub-plots, they just piss me off. The world just ended and you’re worried about continuing your affair? I mean come on.
I gave up on the show about five episodes in. It’s Invasion slow.
I wouldn’t say it was Invasion slow, but it’s definitely got a bit of a ways to go. I like it quite a bit, but I can understand wanting some sleep instead of watching it. If you already saw the episode where Skeet wears a towel, that’s basically all you need to see.
Damn Friday Night Lights making me fall in love with it and making this timeslot difficult!!!
Still, if you get some cool scoop (about basically any show) I’d definitely like to read it.
I like it, but I couldn’t watch it because I watched two other, better shows in that time slot…now I have a dual-tuner TiVo plus an extra TiVo in my son’s room, so I can watch!! I love Skeet Ulrich and Sprague Grayden (John Doe was one of my favorite shows). The show does need a good writer to help out with the dialogue (“I NEED ALL THE JUICEBOX STRAWS YOU HAVE”???), and a little less time spent on the less interesting characters, and it would be a great show. I would appreciate any scoop!
Its my one of my new favorite shows. That and Heroes are seriously the best new goodies we got this year
I LOVE JERICHO!! And it is getting better and better with each passing episode.
Spoilers would be GREAT!! Thanks!!
Total Jericho nut here – I actually prefer it to Heroes *shock horror*
I watch 🙂
