TR Knight on Ellen DeGeneres - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

TR Knight on Ellen DeGeneres

Yeah, I guess I have been a little overly focused on the Grey’s Anatomy issue today, but it really affected me. TV is an escape and when these outside issues influence how I watch the show I get a little taken in by it all. Well that and the ignorance that is apparently at the core of it all.
Anyway, many of you have asked, so here is the video of TR Knight on Ellen DeGeneres talking about the incident…well incidents. I had a hard time watching it myself.

I got emotional when he started thanking her for coming out ten years ago…because it was such a brave thing for her to do. I am glad he did what he did, and he was far more eloquent and mature in this situation than I could ever be.

When he said the “F” word i kind of lost it. To see how much it hurt him to say it. It’s just something I will never know.

I don’t even watch Grey’s, but this still upsets me so much. Actually, I’m glad I don’t watch it, because in the event that ABC/Grey’s is stupid and doesn’t fire him, I don’t think I could watch it with him as a part of the cast.

T.R. kills me. He seems like such a genuinely kind person and the image of him standing around the corner with his backpack and hearing Washington call him that…”awesome” (gag) word is just too much for me. The grace with which he’s handled this whole thing is admirable though.

This is so upsetting. TR Knight- all people- deserve better treatment than that. Sam is right, he’s handling it all with much more grace than I think I could.

I think what is so sad is that this past week watching the show I thought I’m so glad all that fighting is over because I love this show and then to have it all dragged up again makes me rethink my tivo season pass. I don’t know about you guys but tonight I’m going to be watching and recording scrubs! I think that people forget they have a voice and tonight I’m standing up and saying I won’t watch a show with a bigot/homophobe on it, once Dr. Burke is gone I’ll come back to Seattle Grace and not a minute sooner!!

I might be the minority here, but I’m tired of the media trying to push the agenda of gay society. i was raised to believe, as most of amercica was, to believe that a homosexual lifestyle is not something of the norm. This does not make me closeminded, or bigoted, but i feel that your personal lifestyle choices should not be something that everyone needs to see. Gay or straight. Still reguardless of my personal belief on homosexulitly, i am ashamed and shocked that in 2007 people are still being subjected to slurs such as this, and my heart goes out to T.R
