Emily VanCamp Joins “Brothers & Sisters”
January 24, 2007 by Kath Skerry
This just in…I mean just seconds ago from Michael Ausiello. Emily VanCamp, better known as Everwood’s Amy Abbott, has just been cast as Rebecca on Brothers & Sisters. That’s it…I am DEFINITELY watching this show now. Sooo excited about this news.
From Ausiello:
Sitting down? Are you? ‘Cause I’ve got the best news ever. Seriously. You’re gonna die. Or at the very least piddle yourself. The role of Rebecca has been cast on Brothers & Sisters. And you’re not going to believe who go it: Emily VanCamp! OMG! This hasn’t been officially confirmed by ABC or Touchstone, but it’s true. Trust me. Emily starts work on Friday.

OMG!!!! That has to be some of the best news ever! I’ve liked Brothers and Sisters already but this has made it even better. I cannot wait to see her on the show. I had thought there was no chance she’d be on the show. She’s absolutely the perfect person to play that role, esp. with Greg Berlanti behind the scenes. She’ll fit in perfectly and I hope they have her character in a lot of the episodes. Love it! Now if only they could somehow fit in Gregory Smith as her boyfriend, it would be beyond awesome! 😉
Okay I might have to start watching this show now!! That is freakin’ fantastic! I agree now we need Gregory Smith to play her boyfriend.
YAY!! Awesome news. 🙂
That’s awesome. I stopped watching it a few episodes ago, but I’ll have to start up again now!
all this good news today.. SWC is preggo… EVC is on B&S… anyone care to give a quick update on what has happened in past episodes, because i totally think i am going to start watching!
Beyond awesome!!!! At least we can relive our “Everwood” and actor at a time on “B and S”…
Woo – hoo! I had heard this rumor, I think I even mentioned it in a post on the boards.
GMMR – you are going to love this show – it has actually replaced my Everwood “family”, touch your heart, stellar casting, incredible acting fix. Am I making sense??
She is perfect for this role – not only does she look like she could be the child of Tom Skeritt and Patricia Wettig – but she will fit in great with the rest of the cast. Homerun casting, if you ask me.
