Another TV boyfriend is officially off the market. Former Alias and Wedding Crashers star Bradley Cooper (also known as “The Eyes”) has gone off and gotten himself married to hottie Jennier Esposito (“Related”, “Crash”). The two were married in late December although the exact details of the nuptials were not fully disclosed. Rumor has it they were married in Paris on New Year’s Eve but that’s just a rumor at this point. Congrats to those crazy kids.
30 Rock Recap: “The Baby Show”

Title: The Baby Show
Original Air Date: Jan. 4, 2007
TV is back!!! I’m referring, at least, to the TV that I watch, and it was great to have my Thursday night NBC lineup back. The continuing saga of Jim and Pam is someone else’s recapping duty (lucky stiff!), but I’m really psyched about getting my weekly dose of Tina Fey again.
Can there be a classic scene in a show that’s only aired 10 episodes? If so, the cold open was a classic “diss Jenna” scene. It’s Jenna’s (Jane Krakowski) birthday, but her efforts to regale her co-workers with a little Whitney Houston keep getting interrupted, first by Cerie’s engagement announcement and second by an antique car show outside. Only Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) stays glued to her every note.
While Liz (Fay) waits to meet with Jack (Alec Baldwin), loyal (and creepy) assistant Jonathan (Maulik Pancholy) realizes area code 407 has gotten through on Jack’s line. Needless to say, pandemonium ensues. Jack is in rare, mean form. In his stressed state – which isn’t explained right away – he has no patience for Liz’s trivial problems. He tells her to handle them on her own.
Josh (Lonny Ross) and Tracey (Tracey Morgan) enter with Tracey’s entourage, joking about a fun night out. Josh is doing spot-on impressions of Tracey, and Tracey’s laughing along.
The Office & The O.C. on No Sleep

It’s about 3:55 AM here in not so sunny, and not so warm California. How is it that it’s warmer in Boston than it is here in Cali? I mean, they have palm trees here…I saw them. Palm trees should always equal a warm climate. Anyway, it’s early, and although I tried to stay up late last night my body is automatically set to wake up at 6:30 AM. I thought maybe I fire off a quick post and then try to go back to sleep again (yeah, like that’s gonna happen).
So I didn’t watch much TV last night with my travels and such but I did fit in the best that last night had to offer…The Office and The O.C.
The Office
Feeling Hot! Hot! Hot! Michael got some action. Niiice [/kevin]. I’m still shocked that Jan agreed to go on the trip with him to Jamaica. And maybe even more surprised that they actually had sex. I know she said she was following the advice of her therapist, but clearly the therapist has never met Michael. And it seems no matter how hard he tries, Michael just can’t get out of his own way. But despite the drums and the ridiculous beading in his hair, we saw a maturity from Michael last night that we usually aren’t privy to. A nod to Steve Carell’s acting talents for playing Michael so on point that he is so many things at so many times – an over the top showman, a little boy desperate for acceptance, a lonely man afraid of losing a relationship he clearly cares about. It’s all there, and the amazing thing is that all those character interpretations are often present during the same scene. Now go off and make some sweet love to Jan.

The Office — Back From Vacation
Michael returns from his Jamaican vacation a relaxed man but that changes when a spicy vacation photo makes its way around the office. Talk about awkward — for all of us — when Pam gets caught in the middle of an argument between Jim and Karen. Scrubs — My House
Dr. Cox goes all House-like when he has to solve three mysteries — two are medical-related, but the more interesting case involves Elliot, Kelso and Turk.
The O.C. — The My Two Dads
Hercules, Hercules! Kevin Sorbo continues his quest as Ryan’s biological dad when he’s invited over for dinner. Of course, this doesn’t rest well with Sandy. Where’s Zena when you need her?
The Office Thursday on Give Me My Remote

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and that can only mean one thing…a brand new episode of The Office tonight!! Woo Hoo!! Last time we had a new episode was way back in December when the Dunder Mifflinites partied it up on “A Benihana Christmas”. Ok, maybe it wasn’t that long ago, but it sure felt that way. But tonight they are back in an aptly titled episode called “Back from Vacation”. And while I’d like to say that we are 100% back to our usual Office Thursday posts, I have to admit that this one is going to be a wee bit extremely short. See, although I just came back from vacation myself, I have to leave in a few hours to head to the West Coast. So forgive me for posting and running, but I’ve got a lot to get done this morning before my flight leaves. Ok, on to it then…
Tonight on The Office…
“Back from Vacation”: Still in “vacation mode” after his trip to Jamaica, Michael (tries to hang on to his relaxed island vibe despite a wave of office hassles. But it becomes too much when an e-mail containing a racy vacation photo is forwarded around the office. Pam gets caught in the middle as Jim and Karen argue. Yahoo has kindly posted a frakkin’ hilarious clip from tonight’s episode. Click here to watch.
Jenna Fischer on Rachel Ray TODAY…
Last November Jenna Fischer taped an appearance on The Rachel Ray Show, and it’s finally…finally airing this morning. I was lucky enough to have been in the audience for the taping, but I’m secretly hoping I don’t have to see myself on camera. Ugh. Anyway, make sure you check your listings to find out when The Rachel Ray Show airs on your local station. And click here to read about my chance encounter with Jenna Fischer on The Rachel Ray Show.
Jenna’s Blog…
Speaking of Ms. Fischer, definitely check out her latest MySpace blog. She talks about the highs and lows of being a celebrity. And well, basically this blog just reinforces my Girl Crush on Jenna and shows the world why she is so damn cool. (Jenna’s MySpace page)
LIVE Office Chat Tonight…
Yes, there is a chat tonight. I’m going to be on the West Coast so sadly I won’t be able to chat it up with you kids tonight over at BuddyTV.com. BUT, our esteemed “Jim Mosby” has kindly offered to host the chat on my behalf tonight. So head over to BuddyTV.com at 8pm EST and watch the show with the crew. So sad to miss it this week…but next week, I’m there!!!
The Sun Setting on The O.C.

It all started with “Welcome to the O.C., bitch” but how will it end. The sun will set for the last time on THE O.C. when the series ends its four-season run Thursday, Feb. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
“This feels like the best time to bring the show to its close,” said Josh Schwartz, creator and executive producer of THE O.C. “Thanks to the hard work of our cast, crew and writers, we have enjoyed our best season yet, and what better time to go out than creatively on top. It has been an amazing experience and a great run. For a certain audience, at a certain time, THE O.C. has meant something. For that we are grateful.”
I’m really sad to say goodbye to The O.C., especially in light of its creative resurgence this season. Seth, Summer, Ryan, Sandy, Kirsten, Julie…hell even Marissa hold a special place for me in my TV heart. Thanks to everyone involved with the show for such a great run.
GMMR will hold a fitting tribute to The O.C. prior to it’s final show. We need to say a proper goodbye to Captain Oats, don’t we?
But, it ain’t over yet. All-original episodes of The O.C. will be airing from Thursday, Jan. 4 through the last episode on Feb. 22.
And on this week’s episode, look for Pop/R&B teen sensation Chris Brown to make his mark in Newport. Brown, in a multi-episode arc will play WILL TUTT, a lonely band geek at The Harbor School who befriends Kaitlin Cooper. As their friendship grows, a possible romance blossoms in the O.C.
How I Met Your Mother Sneak Peek

I’m not sure when How I Met Your Mother made it on to my list of appointment television. It was definitely after Season 1 and before Robin Sparkles, that much I know. Laugh track and all, this is one of the funniest comedies on TV today. I do love Scrubs and 30 Rock, but I’m thinking HIMYM might just rank as my #2 favorite comedy.
If you haven’t caught the show, I suggest you check it out when it returns to CBS on January 8th at 8/7c. And to get you newbies and HIMYM veterans excited for the show, I’ve got a brand spankin’ new clip to show you.
“First Time in New York”
When Robin tries to talk her younger sister out of losing her virginity, the gang shares stories with each other about their “first time.” And as always, Barney Stinson’s tales of his life are way more exciting than, well, the truth. But who knows, maybe “She’s Like the Wind” was playing in the background. How can you NOT watch the clip based on that pic alone?

Series Premiere: Knights of Prosperity

Set the DVRs, PVRs TiVos…or even the VCR because I think we might have a new show to talk about tomorrow. Tonight is the series premiere of The Knights of Prosperity – one of the most talked about and highly anticipated shows coming out of this summer’s TCA’s. Of course back then the show was known by it’s original title “Let’s Rob Mick Jagger”. So what’s this show with two obscure names all about?
Eugene Gurkin’s (Donal Logue) dreams always have exceeded his means. In fact his dead end job on the late, late janitorial shift won’t even fund a bottle of premium booze. In a serendipitous moment, he catches an episode of an entertainment news show and his passion is ignited. Soon he excitedly recruits a group of “average joes” into his “gang” — “The Knights of Prosperity” — to plan the celebrity heist. The first order of business is to get a copy of the key to Jagger’s apartment. And, as usual for this group of “Ocean’s idiots,” nothing comes easily.

Friday Night Lights Freak

I spent some time over the holidays getting caught up on some shows that alluded me since the fall season began. The shows I chose were lauded by many of you as being some that TV had to offer. Since I trust your opinion, I had to check them out. To be honest, I’m not going to really spend much time talking about Heroes and 30 Rock, because I feel like I’m preaching to the choir. You all watch those shows and seem to really love them. As do I. I’m almost caught up with both of them, and look forward to watching the new eps when they air.
So that brings me to perhaps the best part of the Christmas holidays, and that was watching Friday Night Lights. I mean, um, spending time with my family and THEN watching Friday Night Lights.
I had read all the reviews and knew it was something special, but I just couldn’t seem to keep up with it during the regular season when it first aired. Tuesday nights were busy and getting a new show in was just not in the cards. But thanks to Al Gore and his wonderful internet, and the folks at NBC.com, I was able to watch the entire season online and now I’m completely caught up.
So what do I think of Friday Night Lights? I think it’s fanfreakingtastic!! Honestly, it’s so much better than I expected it to be. Again, I had heard the critical praise, but I just wasn’t sure it could live up to the hype. Well it does. The characters, the storylines, the actors – just wonderful.

2007 is Here…Whoa

It’s 2007…really? Where did 2006 go? Well, since it’s here, and we have all have celebrated (some of us a little too hard), I guess it’s time to get back to the business of television. We’ve got new shows starting this week, and some of our favorites are back with new episodes after…well, forever!! I for one have to adjust to being back at work, at least for the next two days until I leave for California on Thursday – oh the charmed life I lead.
I’m already a bit behind (surprise, surprise). I know it’s 2007 but we still have to talk about my favorite TV moments of 2006 AND we still haven’t talked about Friday Night Lights yet, which I have come to love over the holiday break. Sorry, I think the past two weeks just totally got away from me with all the celebrating and family gatherings. We’ll get things back to normal around here…soon enough.
I just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. Thanks for making 2006 such a wonderful year for me. I hope you will continue to hang out at GMMR in ’07, and I’ll do my best to bring the site to a new level in the new year. It’s going to be a lot of fun – that much I know.
