Supernatural & Smallville Men Speak

So I hear you all loud and clear when you said that I should be watching Supernatural and Smallville. As I said, I’m not sure I have the time to get into these shows, but now that I know you are watching them, I will try to pass along good info when it comes my way. Fair enough?
To that point, I’ve got two new interviews to share. The first one is the Hottie McBodies of Supernatural, Jared Padalecki & Jenson Ackles.
With that kind of pressure, how’s the chemistry between you guys, off camera and on?
Jared: It’s pretty effortless. We’re pretty similar and have similar interests, same hobbies. We’re both very laid-back guys. We take our work very seriously, and we like to work on our characters and like to have a good time. We keep the mood on the set fun. We just click. We have a fantastic time, we have a fantastic crew in Vancouver, and it’s all been very organic.Jensen: I think it’s also just the common love we share for the show. We really look out for each other when we’re working with guest directors, and I think we just truly want this to be a great program. It’s very neat to have that relationship with a costar, very rare.

And next up, I came across this interview with Phil Morris who is playing J’Onn J’Onzz, the Martian Manhunter on Smallville.
Tell us about your highly anticipated role on Smallville.
Morris:I play a guy named J’Onn J’Onzz, the Martian Manhunter. He was an original Justice League character. I don’t play him green, I play him as me. I’m in an episode called “Labyrinth.” I come into Clark Kent’s world to reveal myself to him and tell him why I’m there. Why I’m there is really deep; you have to really watch the show. But just to let you know, I’ve been there his whole life, unbeknownst to him. I can’t reveal too much, but I essentially help Superman/Kal-El capture these fugitives and put them back in the Phantom Zone.

I was watching Ellen DeGeneres last week and was the clip below and laughing my ass off. I had meant to share it with all of you but forgot all about it until this morning.
So here’s the deal. Ellen received a call from an 88 year old Austin, TX woman named Gladys. Gladys had called the show to tell Ellen to move a plant behind her head becauseit made her look like Alfalfa. Ellen called her back live on air, and it was funny stuff.

A Statement from Shonda Rhimes

Grey’s Anatomy creator, Shonda Rhimes, has finally made a statement regarding the “incidents” surrounding Isaiah Washington’s use of homosexual slurs.
“I speak for all the executive producers here at Grey’s Anatomy when I say that Isaiah Washington’s use of such a disturbing word was a shocking and dismaying event that insulted not only gays and lesbians everywhere but anyone who has ever struggled for respect in a world that is not always accepting of difference.
“We’ve been working within the Grey’s family as well as with ABC and Touchstone Television to address the issue in a way that underscores the gravity of the situation while giving us all a foundation for healing. We applaud and encourage Isaiah’s realization that he needs help and his subsequent choice to seek immediate treatment for his behavioral issues.
“We appreciate the support the fans have always given our show, particularly during this stressful time. Creatively, we continue to strive to make the best television we can with the hope that our show reflects the talent, hard work and professionalism of our cast and crew. “
E! Online’s Kristin Veitch is reporting that her sources say that Isaiah Washington has now entered a rehab facility to deal with his issues? A rehab facility? Such a thing exists for ignorance? I commend Isaiah on whatever positive steps he is taking in this matter, however forced they may be. Here’s to hoping he comes out a better person for this. But a rehab facility…seriously? Seriously?

Don’t Tease Me Like That…

You know when you are reading something online, ok not reading but skimming, and something catches your eye? Yeah, well this just happened to me a few minutes ago. Now had I been reading the site, I would have known this was a silly comment made in jest. But no, I had a full 15 seconds of freak out before I realized it wasn’t real..
A Limited Edition NBC’s The Office branded 17″ Mac Book Pro. You choose your fav character and it comes airbrushed with their pic on the clamshell and all alerts are done with their voice. Schrute costs extra, but comes pre-installed with World of Warcraft. Apple, Inc hearts The Office. Either that or a Pirates III iPod dock. (btw, seriously, I aint making fun. I’d by the SchruteBook Pro…ftw woot! (Source)
I’m a PC gal. I wish I was more of a Mac person, because Macs are cooler looking, but I nope, it’s me and my trusty Sony Vaio. But, if Apple ever decided to make the aforementioned Office-themed Mac Pro Book, I would buy one in a heartbeat. Of course mine would be adorned with Halpert on the clamshell (which it oddly fitting since we know how he loves soft shelled crabs) and the “alerts” would be set to either “I’m in love with you” or the signature Halpert “Wow”

Lorelai is up in her bedroom pacing and looking out the window, more specifically at her driveway. She doesn’t have to wait long however because Rory’s car pulls in. Lorelai races through the house to get to her daughter with Christopher and Gigi close on her tail. I completely forgot about Gigi, but then again I always do, and I’m pretty sure so do the writers. YAY! Rory is home! YAY! She was in
Veronica Mars Recap: “Show Me the Monkey”

A long time ago, we used to be friends…and then you went on a long hiatus and you were out of sight and out of mind. Sorry, but it’s the truth. It feels like forever ago when the Hearst rapist was revealed and Dean O’Dell was found dead at his desk. I knew without a doubt that I was going to be watching the Winter premiere of Veronica Mars last night, I just didn’t realize exactly how much I had missed it.
We had a few things going on in Neptune last night, so let’s discuss, shall we? Let me first start by saying that there is a reason that I have OTHER people recap shows for me here on GMMR. I suck at it. You people want a recap not a frakkin’ novel. Anyway, my apologies for the grey hair that might sprout while you ar reading my take on last night’s show.
Maybe we should start with ye old murder. Murder has become an annual event in Neptune. It’s like St. Patrick’s Day or the 4th of July, yet without the parades and drunk leprechauns. And as always, the Mars family always seems to be just a wee bit too close to the situation.

WTF!! The Hills is Back??

Holy hell! I can’t believe The Hills has already aired 2 episodes of their sophmoreseason and I didn’t even know it was back on. I am pissed. I don’t know how I could have missed this. I don’t remember seeing one commercial, one magazine ad…nothing. I suppose MTV has been bombarded with promos, but sadly I have left behind my MTV days. Not sure when it happened, but all of a sudden I realized that I didn’t even know what channel MTV was on my cable box. Maybe it came with turning 30. Who knows? I do know that The Hills is a guilty pleasure, as was its predecessor Laguna Beach (um, S1 & S2 only…the spoiled asshats on S3 sucked). I’m going to have to catch a little mini-martahon to see what LC, Hedi and Whitney have been up to (I really hope Whitney is back – she was the only sane one among the group.)
Have any of you been watching?

This just in…I mean just seconds ago from Michael Ausiello. Emily VanCamp, better known as Everwood’s Amy Abbott, has just been cast as Rebecca on Brothers & Sisters. That’s it…I am DEFINITELY watching this show now. Sooo excited about this news.
From Ausiello:
Sitting down? Are you? ‘Cause I’ve got the best news ever. Seriously. You’re gonna die. Or at the very least piddle yourself. The role of Rebecca has been cast on Brothers & Sisters. And you’re not going to believe who go it: Emily VanCamp! OMG! This hasn’t been officially confirmed by ABC or Touchstone, but it’s true. Trust me. Emily starts work on Friday.
Prison Break Actress Expecting Baby

Let’s hope Tequila Tancredi can lay off the tequila and the meth while pregnant. Actually it’s not the good Doctor that is preggs, but the adorable Sarah Wayne Callies that plays Dr. Sara Tancredi on Prison Break that is with child. Sarah and her husband, Josh Winterhalt, are expecting their first child this summer.
Soooo do you think the baby will be written into the Prison Break script? I’m normally against this, but Michael Scofield with child? Honestly that could be an amazing plot twist. Only time will tell what the Prison Break writers will do. What we do know is that Sarah (both the actress and the character) will need to be taking a little time off from work. Ah, the possibilities.

How I Met Your Mother Recap: “Columns”

Title: “Columns”
Original Airdate: January 22, 2007This was one of those episodes that really dind’t provide much in the way of plot development, character development, and really lacked the normal laughs associated with such a great show. It’s a shame, but, I suppose every show has a weak episode or two through out an entire season. Right?
What did you dream about doing when you were a kid? As the beloved Pam Beesly once said, “I don’t think it’s many little girls’ dream to be a receptionist.” On the other hand, Ted Mosby, well, he dreamed the dream of many boys and girls while they play with their building blocks. He dreamt of being an architect and made those dreams come true.

Gilmore Girls Returns to Stars Hollow

Argh…my day has been pretty crazy, but not SO crazy that I should forget to remind you that Gilmore Girls is back tonight for their Winter premiere. Here’s what’s going down with the chattiest mom and daughter on TV.
“GILMORE GIRLS” – (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) “Santa’s Secret Stuff”
LORELAI MAKES CHRISTMAS WAIT FOR RORY’S RETURN – Rather than celebrating Christmas while Rory (Alexis Bledel) is in London over the holidays, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Christopher (David Sutcliffe) decide to put their holidays on hold. Once Rory returns to Stars Hollow, they decorate several Christmas trees, do their shopping and even bake Christmas cookies for the first time as a family. Turning up unexpectedly at the inn, Luke (Scott Patterson) asks Lorelai to write a character recommendation letter for his custody battle over April (Vanessa Marano). Adorkable John Krasinski & Adam Brody in ‘Smiley Face’

The two most adorkable boys on the planet, John Krasinski (The Office) and Adam Brody (The O.C.) star along side Anna Farris, Danny Masterson and John Cho in Smiley Face, a new movie that just premiered at Sundance.
Based on the trailer, Smiley Face is a full on stoner flick in the spirit of Harold & Kumar (which was hysterical). The movie follows a day in the life of Jane (Farris) who tries to get through her day after smoking just a teensy bit too much weed.
Krasinski goes full on Dwight Schrute in this one, complete with the terrible hair and nerdy glasses. Was it necessary? No…but you know it’s meant to be when I can embrace John’s inner geek.
GMMR reader Emily caught the movie at Sundance and said it was really funny. She made the mistake of telling me that JKras is shirtless in this one (and here we thought we had to wait until this summer’s “License to Wed” to see that). I made the mistake about asking more about the shirtless scene. Emily tell me that…um, it takes place in a shower (cheers) but um, hmmm, uh, well you see it’s uh, he’s doing something…well let’s just say that he plays a LONELY nerd boy.
Here’s the trailer:
