GMMR’s TiVo Priority – You Choose

February 15, 2007 by

gmmr_icon_myspace.pngSo here’s the deal…I missed a TON of show while I’ve been out here in California. The time difference, some late nights at the office, only being able to watch one show at a time – yeah all of it means that I have some serious catching up to do when I get home on Saturday. That being said, I haven’t seen my family and friends in a week so I don’t want to be holed up in my apartment the whole weekend. This is where you come in. I’ll give you the shows I missed and you tell me in which order I should watch them. Deal? Done!

Updated: Yup we know need to add Ugly Betty, Scrubs, and The O.C. to the list below.

  • Battlestar Galactica
  • Studio 60
  • Gilmore Girls
  • House
  • Lost
  • Friday Night Lights
  • American Idol
  • Extras

I’m glad I don’t see The Office on that list or I’d think you were in need of a workaholic intervention.

I don’t watch all those shows, so here’s my abbreviated list…

    1. Extras.
    1a. Extras again
    2. House
3-7. Everything else but Studio 60 in whatever order you like
    7a. Extras one last time
    8. if you must, Studio 60

  2. Angelica on February 15th, 2007 8:12 pm

Extras, followed by Lost. I haven’t seen any of the other shows, so I have no opininon on them for you πŸ™‚

  3. HealthcareHottie on February 15th, 2007 8:13 pm

House was amazing this week. I haven’t seen any of the other shows. I’ll have to catch Extras on demand, since Brian thought it was good enough to mention 3 times.

  4. John on February 15th, 2007 8:28 pm

    Friday Night Lights
    Studio 60
    Lost
    House
    Extras
    American Idol
    Battlestar Galactia
    Gilmore Girls

    in that order…

  5. Brooke on February 15th, 2007 9:11 pm

    LOST. LOST… so many times.
    Gilmore Girls.

    And I haven’t watched Studio 60 yet, so don’t know…

  6. Kristi on February 15th, 2007 9:12 pm

    LOST!
    House
    Gilmore Girls

  7. Kim on February 15th, 2007 9:22 pm

Friday Night Lights is a MUST!
I haven’t watched LOST myself yet, so I can’t tell you the rest, but you have to watch FNL asap.

  8. Nicole on February 15th, 2007 9:23 pm

I’ve only seen two of them, but Lost was phenomenal this week so I’d put that at priority numero uno. Gilmore was pretty big this week too, but Lost was fantastic.

  9. carly on February 15th, 2007 9:28 pm

    Lost
    Friday Night Lights
    House
    Battlestar Galactica
    Extras
    Gilmore Girls
    Studio 60
    American Idol

  10. bill on February 15th, 2007 9:36 pm

The only one of that list I watched this week was Lost, but it was a good one.
Heroes had a great episode as well.

Is it really a big deal if you miss a week of American Idol?

  11. Amanda on February 15th, 2007 9:44 pm

Lost (most important so you don’t hear from someone else what happened!!)
    BSG
    Friday Night Lights
    Studio 60
    House
    the rest

Hope this helps! I’m glad I’m not the only one with these terribly important decisions to make.

  12. Melissa on February 15th, 2007 9:50 pm

The no. 1 show you need to watch is Lost!!! Then extras. Then i don’t know because i don’t watch any of the other shows.

  13. mg714 on February 15th, 2007 9:59 pm

Friday Night Lights is a definite must see followed by Lost. Then the rest in any order. πŸ™‚

  14. Elena on February 15th, 2007 10:04 pm

If you can only watch 1 watch LOST. I swear, it’s the best episode I’ve seen so far.

Then Gilmore Girls and Studio 60 (though it wasn’t my favorite)

  15. Mike on February 15th, 2007 10:11 pm

LOST, Office, Extras, Heroes… How do you NOT h ave The Office and Heroes in there? Extras was awesome, LOST is finally back on track, and really on track. We have no idea what is going on and that is awesome. Every minute we were like… oh, its this, oh no, it’s that… and we are always wrong. And Extras has been amazing this year. That and The Office are the two really funny and (IMHO) the most clever, out of the box shows this year.

  16. Tracy on February 15th, 2007 10:20 pm

    Friday Night Lights!!!!!!!!!!
If you’re a fan, this is a MUST watch. always good, always breathtaking. just do it. and then tell us what you thought.

I saw that VM is not on the list, did you get a change to watch it yet? Just wondering πŸ™‚

hope California is treating you amazingly!!!!!!

  17. Jo on February 15th, 2007 10:31 pm

well, i can’t speak for all of those. but i would say GG and BSG could both wait. I wasn’t blown away by either

  18. ayla on February 15th, 2007 10:33 pm

You must start with Friday Night Lights.

Trust me, I’m one of those on the fence, not quite sure if it lives up to the hype viewers. But this one blew me away.

Gilmore Girls was better than usual, but that isn’t saying much. Studio 60 was disappointing. I’d put these at the bottom.

  19. jenny on February 15th, 2007 10:43 pm

Lost, Lost, Lost. I swore many times at my tv. As for S60, put it near the bottom. Why do I torture myself every week watching that show?

  20. Scooter McGavin on February 15th, 2007 10:45 pm

Definately Friday Night Lights first followed by Studio 60. I’m not sure if I can even recommend Lost this week, it was bad, like season 2 bad.

  21. Mandy on February 15th, 2007 10:48 pm

Friday Night Lights, Friday Night Lights, Friday Night Lights. Best episode of the season! The only other shows I watched on that list was Lost and American Idol. AI bored me to tears.

  22. silsont on February 16th, 2007 12:36 am

Friday Night Lights should be on the top of your list, followed by LOST.

  23. kilwiggle7 on February 16th, 2007 7:44 am

Friday Night Lights is totally at the top of the list… The OC was a good one- and there is only one more episode left…

Don’t waste your time with AI. It was boring, and all the people that made it are up on the internet already.

  24. Sus on February 16th, 2007 7:54 am

    1. Gilmore Girls (HUGE this week!)
    2. House (really good stuff)
    3. Everything else (I don’t watch any of the other shows but I’m willing to bet I’d recommend Extras. It’s in my Netflix queue. Also, I used to watch Lost and it’s usually good for thrills.)

I’m assuming Veronica Mars is not on the list because you’ve already seen it…RIGHT?! πŸ˜‰

  25. Sus on February 16th, 2007 7:55 am

Ooh, just caught your Ugly Betty reference. DEFINITELY watch that, there was some good stuff at the end. πŸ™‚

  26. jacki on February 16th, 2007 8:13 am

    1. LOST!!!
    2. Gilmore Girls
    3. House

I saw Studio 60 and American Idol, and they were both lame.

I don’t watch BSG, FNL, and Extras.

  27. thecharactersaren'treal? on February 16th, 2007 8:58 am

Lost, first and foremost. Especially if you are a fan of season one type of excitement. This, for me, was one of the best of the past two seasons.

  28. spacyz on February 16th, 2007 11:01 am

The shows that had the best episodes this past week were Lost, Friday Night Lights, and Battlestar Galactica. I watched several of the others, but they didn’t have a particularly good week. I haven’t seen Ugly Betty or Scrubs yet, so I am looking forward to those this weekend.

  29. mwhip on February 16th, 2007 1:33 pm

    Friday Night Lights
    Extras
    Gilmore Girls
    House
    Lost
    Studio 60
    American Idol
    Battlestar Galactica

  30. Bill on February 17th, 2007 1:34 am

Oh, Scrubs. Did you catch the ending of last week’s (the second newest) episode? It was a great twist ending.
