I’m heading out to California super early on Sunday morning to get ready to start my new job on Monday. I’m not sure what’s in store for me this week but I promise to try to post as regularly as I can. But if things seem a little slow this week – fear not, we will be back to normal soon. If you need your fix of TV news, just head over to my boy Ducky’s site and he’ll hook you up.
– GMMR OUT!
P.S. Sorry about not posting the GMMR|DuckyxDale Podcast this week. Ducky has been a sick little boy. The one good thing about pushing off the podcast a week is that you have that much more time to enter for a chance to win something from the GMMR or DuckyxDale online store. You’ll have to listen to the podcast to learn all about it. We’ll be back next week…I promise.

Ugly Betty Recap: Brothers

Title: “Brothers”
Original Airdate: February 8, 2007
GMMR Recapper: Julie
The Suarez family starts their morning by watching the fashion news at home. Betty educates everyone about the difference between a transsexual and a transvestite with the help of a pamphlet (Alex/Alexis is a transsexual). Just as Betty is leaving for work, Walter shows up with a single powdered donut and a hint at some big news. Betty quickly bustles out the door in a blatant attempt to avoid him, leaving Walter with a disappointed (and soon to be powdered) face.
Wilhelmina gloats over her new “Editor in Chief” business cards and Alexis heads in for her first day at the office in her new skin. Meanwhile, Daniel visits his father in prison. Daniel wants to believe that his father is innocent, but he admits that the lawyers think the case against Bradford is strong.
Betty and Alexis ride up in the Mode elevator alone, and Betty can’t help but ogle. Alexis finally confronts her and explains everything she had done (chin, butt, breasts, and more). Betty covets Alexis’ hormone patch (it prevents her mustache from growing back), wishing she didn’t have to bleach so often. Alexis seems amused.

No musical guest has been listed yet, so they are still trying to book someone or like Justin Timberlake, Rainn is the host AND musical guest. Maybe he could bust out his recorder. I’ll be busting out the DVR for this episode.
The Office Recap: Phyllis and Bob’s Wedding

WARNING! This post contains spoilers for last night’s episode of The Office. This post and subsequent comments may contain spoilers for upcoming episodes as well, but I have asked that all be marked according with a SPOILER ALERT warning so those who want to avoid spoilers can.
So last night was the big wedding. Phyllis Lapin is now Phyllis Vance, Vance Refrigeration. And what a wedding she had. First let’s get down to the business at hand.
The first deleted scene is up at NBC.com, so o check it out.
There are some new wedding pics available at NBC.com. Here’s a few of my favorites.
So are you ready for my random thoughts on last night’s episode? I hope you are comfortable because I’ve gone a bit crazy with the rambling. There’s a lot to talk about, and it’s posts like this one which blatantly point out that I’m no writer…HA!
From Michael’s antics, to my favorite moments, and of course the Jim and Pam saga, well there is a lot to cover. Let’s get on with it.
Oh Michael. What shall we do with you?
I’m not really sure where to start, so I might as well get the horror that is Michael Gary Scott out of the way. The way I see it, we had a few episodes as of late where Michael was acting like a semi-normal human being. Between the whole Andy thing, getting together with Jan, and bringing back Dwight – Michael was at least tolerable. But last night. Oh sweet heavens. I think the writers were aching to bring back cringe worthy Michael and they did it with gusto. For me it was borderline ridiculous (and not in a good way). It just seems implausible that someone could be so very clueless that they would act like that in public. But then again, it’s Michael Scott and anything is possible.
30 Rock Recap: Up All Night

Title: Up All Night
Original Airdate: Feb. 8, 2007
GMMR Recapper: Brian
30 Rock tonight was a freaky hodgepodge of drunken Russian prostitutes, randy couples, bitter divorcees and way too little Tina Fey for my taste. And yet, by the end of this episode, I felt like I’d seen a little bit of everything, great storytelling, good comedy and a closer connection to a bunch of character who manage to somehow avoid ever becoming caricatures..
Jack (Alec Baldwin) and his estranged wife Bianca (special guest Isabella Rossellini) are finally finalizing their divorce – after a tortuous 18 years, that is, much of its spent squabbling over the box she taught the dog to poop in. Liz (Fey) ducks out quickly, in not quite so graceful Ugly Betty style, and heads off to tell the writers they’re pulling an all-nighter, on Valentine’s Day, no less
Frank: Well, what about me? I just took a whole bunch of Cialis because I’ve got big Valentine’s plans tonight.
Liz: With who?
Frank: Nobody.

It’s going to be the BEST night and I so grateful for those who made it happen. Thanks to LibberyLady for letting someone know about my need for a ticket. And thanks to “I Know a Roy” for making it happen!! Me…in the same room as the cast of The Office. It’s going to be the best night!!
Sorry for the abbreviated version of The Office Thursday. It’s my last full day of vacation before I start my new job on Monday and there are things I need to get done today in preparation for the big event tonight. Green and organge streamers need to be hung. And who do you think is responsible for tying the cans on the back of Phyllis & Bob’s car?!
Lost Recap: Not in Portland
February 8, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Title: “Not in Portland”
Original Airdate: February 7, 2007
GMMR Recapper: MichelleLet’s see, what was happening on Lost the last time we saw it? Kate and Sawyer hooked up in a cage, and Jack was letting Ben bleed to death on the operating table so that they could escape. Yep, that’s about all we need to know (hell, that’s all they LET us know half the time on this show…and what we think we know we may not really know, anyway). Entertainment Weekly said this week’s episode would rock, and they were pretty accurate, so let’s dive in.
FLASHBACK: Juliet is walking down a dimly lit, concrete hall. She says hi to Ethan (remember, he messed with Clare and Charlie killed him) in the hall; we also see a record player so, of course, we know she’s in a hatch somewhere on an island. She walks in to see an obviously sick woman in a bed and makes preparations to give her an injection. She says they should really stop doing this, and the woman asks her why: does she think it won’t work, or is she afraid he will find out? Juliet tells the woman – who is her sister, Rachel – she doesn’t like her living alone, but when she’s met with Rachel’s protests that she doesn’t want to move because she likes living on the beach, Juliet reminds her that they live in MIAMI, so everything’s on the beach, and she opens the curtains to show her the skyscrapers to prove it! Surprise! No hatch, no island. (I like the way they did that reverse-you-think-you’re-in-the-hatch-but-really-you’re-in-the-real-world thing, which is exactly the opposite of what they’ve done in the past. Nice).
Rashida Jones & Craig Bierko in New Fox Pilot
February 8, 2007 by Kath Skerry

Craig Bierko, who has a reoccurring role on Boston Legal (but who will forever be Carrie’s jazz playing boyfriend on SATC) has been cast as the lead in Fox’s comedy “The Rules of Starting Over,” playing a thirty something newly single man among a group of recently divorced friends.
The Office’s Rashida Jones also has been cast in the pilot, playing a partner at a law firm looking for a decent guy.
Um, yeah…Rashida Jones in a new show? You know what this means?! Karen is on her way out!! Much love to Rashida. Once a Dunder Mifflinite, always a Dunder Mifflinite so we will be pulling for you. But I can’t help but be a little excited about Jim and Karen’s split. I’m selfish.

Lost — Not in Portland

Lorelai is helping Babett move a very large potted plant, seeing as her husband wasn’t there. Babette was wondering where Christopher might be, but Lor just makes up excuses. Then her cell phone starts ringing but she ignores it. Then her home phone starts ringing, and then her cell phone again. She finally answers it, and shocked by what she hears takes off, leaving Babette hanging.
Okay, Victoria Secret I get that you have to put your underwear on supermodels to sell your clothing. However, do I really need a commercial where they share what they are looking for in their ideal man? Especially since Giselle would like a guy who can “cook”, you know since you she’s such a big eater and all. Phfffff.
Rory is sitting by herself at the hospital, not paying any attention to her ringing phone. It’s Lorelai, trying to figure out where Rory is. They find each other and we find out how Richard is doing. It was indeed a heart attack, he’s moved out of the ER and he having tests done as we speak. It’s pretty scary, and mother and daughter hug.
Lost is Back TONIGHT

Comments Off on Lost is Back TONIGHT
Lost is FINALLY back tonight, and it’s about damn time. It’s been months since we last saw the Losties, the Tailies, the Others…Sawyer’s shirtless body. There’s a lot of to do around tonight’s big return so let’s get down to it.
Previously on Lost…
If you’re like me you can’t remember much of the last episode of Lost. I remember Kate and Sawyer getting their nasty on (in a cage none the less) and I can remember Jack telling Kate to run. But other than that I’m blanking. Lucky for us, Michelle writes some seriously kickass recaps and can help up to refresh our memories. So check out a recap of the last episode of Lost (from way back in early November)
Lost: The Survival Guide…
Are you a Lost newbie or uber fan? Either way you should check out ‘Lost: The Survival Guide” which airs tonight at 9/8c. The show is a recap of the series prior to the resumption of its third season. Included: a look at how life on the island has changed and shaped the characters, as well as a review of their backstories. Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse host. I’ve actually seen this recap show and it’s really, really cool…make sure you check it out.
Tonight on Lost…
Episode Title: “Not in Portland” (10/9 c on ABC)
On the operating table, Ben’s life is in Jack’s hands, but the doc’s gambit to free Kate and Sawyer hits a geographical snag. Still, the runaways elude Danny and the other guards, with the help of unlikely allies.
Catching up with the Cast…
Our friends over at MeeVee were able to snag an interview with Lost stars Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin). More interviews are on their way, so keep checking back. Here’s a sneek peek:
Why do you think Hurley is so many fans’ favorite character?
How can you ever really know what someone’s going to respond to? I’m glad they respond to Hurley. I think that he definitely has an everyman quality to him. It’s just that in many ways, he’s like the moment when the audience can relax. Everything’s so intense, and everything’s so scary, and Hurley’s a lot more kind of day-by-day, a little more easygoing. Is there a big Hurley episode coming up?
Yeah, the fourth episode in, on February 28, is Hurley-centric. I deal with Libby and that whole thing. The thing that’s good is that it does touch on Hurley, because you haven’t really seen him grieve since that initial death. It does come back to that, and it deals with him and his dad. It also has someone playing Hurley as a young boy.
Win Free LOST Stuff…
Finally, while you are over at TV with MeeVee reading their interview with Hurley and Jin, make sure you enter their LOST sweepstakes and you might just snag yourself a brand new LOSTtee (get it Lost tee…Lostie…oh forget it). All you have to do is write 100 words or less about your theory on the island. Entering will take 5 minutes, and just think about how many won’t enter because they are lazy or illiterate. See…your chances of winning just shot up. (Click here to enter)

I know tomorrow is Office Thrusday and I should hold off on posting this until then, but I just can’t. For the past 20 minutes I’ve been having a BLAST watching Angela Kinsey’s behind the scenes video on People.com. It’s a personal look at what really goes on on set of my FAVORITE show, The Office. Check out Angela’s trailer…find out why Oscar’s trailer might smell…go to lunch with the cast…see Angela getting ready for a scene. There’s SO much to share. Oh, and John Krasinski has one of those big exercise balls in his trailer. And Dwight did tell us what those can help with…I’m just saying.
Anyway, stop what you are doing RIGHT NOW. And click on this link or the image below and watch the video. It’s DAWESOME!!
