WOW. Talk about a complete 180 from last week’s craptacular episode! Good grief, so many things that I had no hope of ever happening actually happened in this hour that I’m not even sure where to begin. Ok, I’ll start: How about Jack and CTU actually stopping the terrorists attacks and getting all the nukes WELL BEFORE the magic 24 hour marker of the show?! Seriously, that has never ever happened before in the history of 24 – Jack and Co. have always stopped the main terrorist and/or the major weapon-of-the-season in the final 24th hour. And of course, stretching that final defeat out to the 24th hour has always been very frustrating for the viewer to watch, because we know annoying mistakes that let the bad guys get away only keep happening so that the writers can stretch it out; if they defeated the bad guy too soon, there’d be no show left, right? Well thank goodness 24 finally had the guts to prove that wrong! Hallelujah, quality 24 is back!!
John Krasinski is the New Voice of Apple

The fabulous Tanster at OfficeTally.com made my day yesterday when she posted the news that my TV boyfriend John Krasinski is the new voice of Apple. I guess I’m going to start watching commercials again…and buy an Apple TV. This isn’t the first time there’s been an Apple/The Office crossover. The Office is often featured in Apple product demonstrations including the unveil of the Apple iPhone earlier this year (iPhone demo featuring The Office). And of course The Office is the most downloaded show through iTunes.
[gv data=”1HpHyMQR058″][/gv]
As far as Mr. Krasinski goes…well that voice of his is serving him quite well. In addition to his work with Apple, John is also the voice of Ask.com and will lend his voice to the upcoming Shrek 3 playing Sir Lancelot.

Don’t miss an all new episode of The Black Donnellys tonight at 9/8c…on NBC.com. Sorry for the tease, but even though NBC has decided not to air the remaining episodes of The Black Donnellys, it doesn’t mean the show is over for its fans. Every Monday night at 9/8c NBC.com will be launching a new episode of the show. There’s honesly little hope of this show returning unless for some reason it become an internet phenomenon. Not likely, but hey it’s worth a shot.
I’ll be catching up with The Black Donnellys tonight at 9pm and I hope you will too.

GMMR Supports The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life

Can you believe that more than 1.3 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year? Those are staggering statistics, but there is hope. Each of us can do something to save lives and help those already fighting this disease.
Give Me My Remote is supporting the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® event. Relay For Life is an overnight event that brings various communities together to help support the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works hard every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early
My sister Karen is participating in the Relay for Life in her home state of Connecticut on May 19th & 20th, and I know that with the help of GMMRers she could meet if not exceed her donation goal of $500. No donation is too small, so give what you can. Your donation will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer – and in the lives of the people who love them. Thank you!

If you feel comfortable doing so, please leave (GMMR) next to your name so I can properly thank you on the site!! You’re the best!!!

Entourage Recap & Quotes: Less Than 30

Title: “Less Than 30”
Original Airdate: April 8, 2007
Breakups are never easy, especially when your ex just won’t let go. In tonight’s season premiere of Entourage Ari is in unfamiliar territory after being unceremoniously dumped by Vince after his shadiness led to Vince losing ‘The Ramones’ film project. Why Ari is still eating his Ben & Jerry’s alone in the dark, Vince has moved on….to Amanda. His new agent seems to know what she’s doing and comes to the table with an Edith Wharton film directed by Sam Mendes. Not a bad way to start off a new relationship.
Ari, who clearly hasn’t read ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ is still trying to woo Vince back. After seeing his boy at the Lakers game with his new agent, Ari decides to step up his efforts. Ari invites Vince (and Eric) to dinner (which they turn into lunch, because you know…they don’t want to lead him on) under the guise of renewed friendship. The boys are suspicious but agree all the same. Ari proves himself by not talking business throughout the lunch. The boys are impressed and decide to invite Ari to Vince’s birthday party later that night. Always one step ahead, Ari brought Vince’s present to lunch – a present to be opened later.

Some new pics of John Krasinski from the set of Leatherheads have come my way. Krasinski stars as football star Carter Rutherford in the film which stars its director George Clooney as well as Oscar Winner Rene Zellwegger. The film premieres in December but shooting is taking place through May in North and South Carolina.
Jimmy Moore was lucky enough to be cast as an extra on the film. Click here to read all about his experience on the set of “Leatherheads” and to see more pics from the movie. A special thanks to Jimmy for allowing GMMR to post these exclusive pictures.

Entourage Sneak Peek Season 3

I was just sent a sneak peek of a scene from this Sunday’s Season 3 premiere of Entourage. In the scene Turtle and Drama ride E for being too soft on Vince’s new agent because she’s a hot woman and not Ari. I was tempted not to watch it because each episode of Entourage is short enough as it is. But I just couldn’t resist.

The Office Recap: “The Negotiation”
April 5, 2007 by Kath Skerry

WARNING! The following contains spoilers for “The Negotiation”. If you haven’t seen it, just wait a few more hours and watch it on iTunes…it’s worth the 99 cents.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a new episode of The Office, and after waiting this long I’m happy to report that “The Negotiation” left me satisfied and smiling (TWSS). There was a lot JAM packed into tonight’s episode (sorry I can’t help myself). I’m in the mood to talk all things Dunder Mifflin so get some caffeine in ya and let’s do this.
The long awaited Halpert-Anderson showdown finally came to a head when Roy confronted Jim inside Dunder Mifflin. Just as he was about to throw the first punch Dwight attacked him (and the rest of the office) with pepper spray. It was genius. It was a way to make a very heavy, not do funny moment hysterical. Roy never landed a punch and Jim’s face remains in tact, much to the joy of women all over this great country. But sadly Roy’s actions led to him being fired from Dunder Mifflin. No more Roy in the warehouse; despite everything it makes me sad. Roy was there from day one and knowing he isn’t going to be around bums me out. But I suppose he can’t go around trying to throw the smackdown on Michael’s #2 guy so that’s that! There were some definite ramifications from all these happenings, but let’s get back to that later.
With Roy’s dismissal Darryl decides to go to Michael for a raise. Michael being the diligent manager that he is properly prepares for his meeting with Darryl by studying up on Wikipedia’s tactics for negotiation. The tactics are probably good in theory, but they don’t work quite as well when being administered by Michael Scott. And to make matters worse, the salary negotiation gets sidetracked when Darryl notices Michael is wearing a woman’s suit. Classic! The office has a nice big laugh at Michael’s expense…and his shoulder pads and lack of back pockets. Michael isn’t convinced that he’s wearing a woman’s suit, nope, he thinks at the very least the suit is bisexual….ha! Steve Carell did what he does best which is find the vulnerability hidden below Michael’s asshattery, and I almost felt bad that he was wearing women’s clothing…almost. I mainly just laughed at him.
Tim Gunn Will ‘Make it Work’ on Project Runway
April 5, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Worry no more, Tim Gunn has just signed on for the fourth season of Project Runway!! Whew…I was getting worried there for awhile. Gunn, the real star of the show, had been in negotiations a bit too long for my liking. There were serious rumors that he might not return at all. But he’s back and he’s ready to MAKE IT WORK!!
In a press release I just received, Gunn says, “I am thrilled to make it official that I will be back in the workroom for season four of ‘Project Runway’. We’re in the midst of casting the designers now and I can already see that it will be another amazing season.”
Executive producer Harvey Weinstein adds, “We could not be more excited that Tim is back to mentor and inspire this seasons crop of aspiring designers. His passion, creativity and dedication to the contestants and the world of fashion have helped make the show such a commercial and critical success.”
I’m glad to know something is going well for Project Runway this season. According to reports over at TMZ.com the couture of reality shows had a much lower than expected turnout for it’s LA designer/casting call earlier this week. Reports are that producers were scrambling to get up and coming designers on the line to come down and present their portfolio. Regardless of who they get, you know it’s going to be another fabulous season.
In honor of Tim Gunn’s return, let’s honor him with our “Make it Work” apparel available in the GMMR Store.
NBC’s “Thank God You’re Here” Online Now

NBC’s new improv show Thank God You’re Here will be premiering next Monday, April 9th, but NBC.com has a sneak peek at the first episode online now. I watched it last night and got a big kick out of it.
The premise: Four actors are put in costume and they walk through a door into…well they just don’t know. A completely improvised scene commences and the actors have to just got with it.
In the premiere episode Wayne Knight (Seinfeld), Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle), Jennifer Coolidge (Best in Show) and Joel McHale (Talk Soup) try their best to just make it through the scene without cracking up. They do it, and do it well…I never could.
You guys should really check out this show. If you were a fan of Whose Line is it Anway? (and who wasn’t) I bet you’ll find yourself laughing at loud at Thank God You’re Here.
Upcoming guest improvers include Angela Kinsey (The Office), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Tom Arnold (The Damn Sports Show), Fran Drescher (The Nanny), Ana Gasteyer (SNL), Tom Green (The Tom Green Show), Mo’Nique (Moesha), Paul Rodriguez (comedian), George Takei (Star Wars), Fred Willard (Best in Show), and more.

We are just hours away from an all new episode of The Office. I didn’t think I would survive the crazy long hiatus, but I did. It’s been over a month, and unless it’s a summer hiatus, we just shouldn’t have to go that long – it’s just not right. And just how long ago was the last new episode? Well to put in perspective as of February 22, 2007….
- Rainn Wilson hadn’t yet hosted SNL
- The Black Donnellys hadn’t premiered (or been canceled)
- Jennifer Hudson was not an Oscar winner
- American Idol’s Antonella Barba was just another contestant on the show
- No pics of JKras in “Leatherheads” had surfaced yet
- The O.C. was still on the air
- I hadn’t yet been to the set of The Office (Tanster & I didn’t even know yet)
- Jenna Fischer hadn’t starred in the #1 movie in the country (YAY Jenna!!!)
See, it HAS been a long time. But tonight’s SUPERSIZED episode is going to be classic. Those of us who were lucky enough to attend The Office panel at the Paley Festival have seen most of the ep and we laughed our asses off. Hours people…hours. Let’s get to it.
A Little House Keeping…
Jenna Fischer will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tomorrow night. Make sue you watch it and yell really loud for Jenna – I bet she can hear you!!
Steve Carell attended (and got slimed) at the recent Kid’s Choice Awards. The big story was how jacked Steve is. His arms put Spiderman’s to shame. Damn he looks good. Check out the pics at OfficeTally.com
Yesterday I posted some behind the scenes footage of John Krasinski’s upcoming film “License to Wed“. If you missed it make sure to check it out here. John has 2 films being released this month: “A New Wave” (which was filmed a few years ago) and “Smiley Face” with Anna Farris opening on April 20th. I’ll be sure to share the details of each premiere when I get them.
Finally a HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to The Office scribe (and Vance Refrigeration employee) Lee Eisenberg. In honor of Lee’s birthday NBC decided to air a new episode of The Office tonight. How nice of them! Lee and his writing partner Gene wrote the upcoming episode, “Women Appreciation” which I believe will air on April 26th (but don’t hold me to it).
LIVE Office Chat TONIGHT…
Reunited and it feels so good. Tonight’s episode is going to be great because I get to watch it with all my BuddyTV friends. For those of you who have never watched the show with us over at BuddyTV you should stop in tonight. We normally get started around 8pm, but tonight I’ll probably open things up a bit earlier since we all need some time to catch up. I hope to see you all there tonight. Click here to set a reminder for the Office chat.
Tonight on The Office… “The Negotiation”
(8pm – 4:42pm EST) SUPERSIZED EPISODE
When Darryl (Craig Robinson) corners Michael about a pay increase, the meeting compels Michael to scrutinize his own salary. Meanwhile, Pam’s confession to Roy (David Denman) impacts Jim. (More pics from “The Negotiation”)
Yahoo!TV has 2 clips up for tonight’s show (view clips) (Note: There was a VERY spoilerific clip up that was subsequently pulled down. If you are going to leave comments PLEASE don’t reference that clip and spoil it for others)
