THE BACHELOR Season Finale (Spoilers)

Well another season of THE BACHELOR is over.  I can’t believe that I actually stuck with it the entire season, but I did. Believe me, I’m more shocked than you.  But there was something about the “amazing” Andy Baldwin and his “amazing” lust for life on his “amazing” search for love, that I found well, “amazing”.  Ok, maybe I’m being a bit sarcastic here, but for whatever reason Andy his lady loves kept me watching right up through tonight’s finale, so there had to be something “amazing” there.

So just who was it that captured Dr. Lt. Andy Baldwin’s heart and the coveted final rose?  Continue on after the jump for the most most exciting rose ceremony reveal ever.

So much for the season finale shocker.  I guess it doesn’t help when the bride-to-be gets all liquored up and tells strangers that she and Andy were engaged.  But that’s just what Tessa did a few weeks ago.  Oh yeah, it was Tessa who received the final rose and the phat engagement ring from Andy. See ya Bevin and your crazy lady tattoos.

In the bloated season finale both Bevin and Tessa went home to Lancaster, PA to spend some quality time with Andy’s family.  As expected both girls hit it off with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa and Lil Sis Baldwin. Andy and his two almost brides had two almost identical dates.  Bizarre.  I personally found it a bit creepy that Andy was all up on Tessa during the day…kissing her and what not, then having her share a meal with his family only to send her on her way, and then have Bevin come over a few hours later and act the same exact way.  I know that’s the game but ew!

Another ew factor for me was all the lip smacking that Andy did with Bevin the night before the big proposal.  Dude, you have the ring picked out…and you had it sized for a specfic woman.  For someone who claims to be all about love and finding the right woman, you sure as hell got your rocks off with Bevin until the last possible moment.  Have you see Bevin?  That girl has been through it.  It was almost cruel to bring her this far only to dump her ass.  She’s not stable.  At least you were kind enough not to bring Danielle to the final two.  I mean that girl still has the dead boyfriend to contend with…I can just imagine how long she would have been telling your sad ass tale.

Ok, so Andy had the girls meet the fam, had final one-on-one dates during which both women professed their undying love to Andy, and then the final rose ceremony began.  The first limo pulls up and Bevin exits.  Having known about the Tessa spoiler last week I fully expected to see The Bevs first…but one season they switched it up and the first person out of the limo was the “winner” so you just never know. Anyway, Andy starts complimenting Bevin about how wonderful she is and how much he cares for her…BUT…yup, the BUT heard ’round the world.  But you my Bevs have been dumped. Tears from Bevin…tears from Andy…and tears of laughter from me.  Sorry, but it was kind of funny to see Andy get all emotional like that.  Then again I am a cold hearted bitch so…

Tessa’s up next.  He loves her.  She loves him.  Yada, yada, yada.  They kiss.  They hug.  He gets down on one knee and proposes.  They hug.  They kiss.  They exchange dog tags (which so didn’t go with her dress).  And another season of THE BACHELOR comes to a close.

In the end, I was glad that Andy chose Tessa.  Yes, she made a BAD first impression on me by leading with the muffin joke when she met Andy on the first night, but she won me over.  Here’s to hoping these kids make it work.

I can tell you that Andy and Tessa are still together and still engaged.  I was on a conference call with Andy just last week and he told us as much.  Tomorrow I’ll get the real dirt as I get to interview both Andy and Tessa.
