Here are my choices for a few:
PROGRAM OF THE YEAR: Heroes
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN COMEDY: I am torn, I love The Office, but 30 Rock has some great comedy writing
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN DRAMA: Lost would be my first choice
OUTSTANDING NEW PROGRAM OF THE YEAR: Heroes
My picks from what’s provided or my comments on the categories:
PROGRAM OF THE YEAR: I haven’t seen any of these except for American Idol but i don’t want that to win ^^;;
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN COMEDY: The Office
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN DRAMA: I haven’t seen any of the choices, but would have liked to see House or 24 get a nomination =/
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT MOVIES, MINI-SERIES AND SPECIALS: haven’t seen any of the choices.
OUTSTANDING NEW PROGRAM OF THE YEAR: 30 Rock
INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT IN COMEDY: I’m conflicted here. I don’t like Baldwin in general, but i think he’s good on 30 Rock. I think Colbert and Stewart are hilarious and Fey is great. So if any of those four win, then i’ll be satisfied (compared to the others, i don’t think Ferrera should win). Why none of the cast from The Office isn’t in this category pisses me off though… They are a superior cast.
INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT IN DRAMA: Hugh Laurie
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING: Don’t care =P
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN NEWS & INFORMATION: Haven’t seen any of the choices.
HERITAGE AWARD: I’ll give this one to Mary Tyler Moore, even though i really don’t care about this category
I agree with pretty much all of your favorites except I think Lost was amazing this year so I would say that for Outstanding Achievement in Drama. And for Outstanding Achievement in Drama for acting I would say its a tie for me between Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler.
Generally, I agree with GMMR’s picks, except I’d go with Stephen Colbert for Individual Achievement in Comedy and a tie between Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler for Individual Achievement in Drama (I couldn’t pick between the two of them, they’re both so incredible!).
I love that FNL got so much recognition from the TCAs, though I am a little disappointed that Steve Carell did not get nominated this year.
Here are my predictions and i cross my fingers for Heroes and Dexter.

I’m sorry but The Wire has to win something. It’s quite simply the best thing I’ve seen on TV in a long, long time.
Aaron’s correct. No one who’s seen The Wire would argue that anything else deserves any award. It is simply better than the other shows, all of which I otherwise enjoy. To not watch The Wire is to not like television; I forget which critic (probably Tim Goodman) said that each single season of The Wire is better than every other single season of every other show ever to air on American television.
the wire! the wire! the wire! it’s absolutely criminal that it gets no recognition from shows like the emmys. hopefully this group will give it some love. the show in general, and last season in particular, has been literally life changing for me as far as my views on america, our cities, drugs, minorities, etc. i’m so proud that the TCA is showing it some love.
I, too, am glad ‘The Wire’ is getting some hype. That show, is a work of art.
