UPDATE: The uber-talented Mozarts_Friend just posted this new Office vid that is so funny that I just had to pass it along to all of you. Talk about being right on the money…it’s dawesome!

Jenna Fischer is Back Home…
A special thanks to Jenna Fischer’s husband, writer/director/actor James Gunn for letting us know that Jenna is back home in L.A. after being stuck in NYC for a few weeks as a result of her back injury. It’s great to know that Jenna is feeling better with each day. We continue to wish Jenna well in her recovery.
John Krasinski at the MTV Movie Awards…
John Krasinski took the stage with his License to Wed co-stars Mandy Moore and Robin Williams to hand out the Best Comedic Actor award at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. Who knew that people could be so passionate about a cardigan. I for one thought the boy looked adorkable and especially lankified (oh new words).

My favorite Steve Carell moment …
I actually have two, but will combine them in the same post so not to be thought of as a cheater with two entries in the contest. Both are TV show appearances, one with the cast of Little Miss Sunshine on Ellen and the other on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
I loved the Ellen appearance because it was the night of (before?) the Golden Globes and she was giving him a hard time because of all his nominations, and he totally played the stuck-up celebrity saying “Now what did you want to ask me, El?” Later, when Abigail Breslin came out, Ellen asked her if she thought Steve Carell was stuck up and she asked him if he was and he said “Just say what I told you.”
His appearance on The Daily Show was great because Jon Stewart talked about how he had grown as a performer, that he was really bad when he was on The Daily Show and brought the show down. “What happened?” he asked.
Overall, I love how Steve Carell doesn’t take himself seriously despite his talent and all the accolades.
My favorite Steve Carell moment has to be the ‘Prison Mike’ scene from “The Convict” episode in season 3. I have watched that scene over and over and over again and I laugh out loud everytime. It is classic Michael Scott and the raw reaction from the rest of the cast, especially JK and Phyllis, is just awesome.
A close second is The Daily Show clip where Steve gets drunk with Stephen. Since you confirmed that he did indeed get drunk, it makes it even better.
My favorite Steve Carell moment comes from Even Stephven on The Daily Show. It was the segment where Carell and Colbert demonstrate “Responsible Drinking”, which was basically Carell getting more and more drunk as the segment wore on, ending with Steve apologizing for getting sick in Colbert’s car. The interaction between those two was always hysterical.
My favorite Steve moment is from Season 2 of the office. In Email Surveillance , when he is pretending to be Agent Michael Skarn in the acting skits. It cracks me up all the time.
My favourite Carell moment is a tie between the drinking skit on the Daily Show and the nauseated waiters from the Dana Carvey show. No one gags like Steve Carell!
I dont really have a favorite Steve Carell moment, but I wanted to say that I thought John looked absolutely adorable in that sweater! I don’t understand why everyone hated it either. Hell, he could wear a paper bag or a tutu and still be hot ;).
My favorite Carell moment, as has already been mentioned, is the Daily Show responsible drinking skit with Colbert. I was laughing so hard I was crying, especially when they cut back to them in the studio. I think I love it even more because he really was drunk. 🙂
this video shows my favorite steve moment
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5202233959062854326&q=even+stevphen
My favorite moment is when Michael is laying under Pam’s desk in a state of depression…he’s moaning in sadness and she just ignores him. When I saw his feet sticking out from under the desk i just about died laughing!
Pretty much every Michael Scott moment will make me laugh every time!
GMMR.com and Office Thursdays, let me count the ways I love thee.
LOL.
I knew you’d be back on it before 12 weeks off….TWSS
*ahem*
My all-time favorite is the chest waxing scene from “The 40 Year-Old Virgin”
You are so sweet! I’m so glad you liked the video and thanks for posting it!! 🙂 (and can I just tell you how excited I am for this Gene/Lee/Apatow movie?? GAH)
Favorite Steve moment (there are too many to choose from):
-When he got drunk on the Daily Show OR ‘the Secret’ when he says to Stanley “Peach Iced Tea. You’re gonna hate it.”
Or ‘The Coup’ when he says “Entouraage!”
Yeah, I just love him in general 🙂
Hard to pick just one, but I would say my favorite is in the episode where Michael is trying to be BFF with Jim, and he props his foot up on Jim’s desk in the middle of the conversation. It’s so awkward, but he just leaves his foot up there anyway! I also loved in Phyllis’s wedding when he asked her if she broke wind.
The Steve/Michael scene that really cracks me up every time is when he is having his computer “talk” and he types in “boobs” and laughs like a little boy!
My all-time favorite Steve moment is in Bruce Almighty when he is just babbling as the news anchor and then again in the deleted scene where his hair is on fire.
Of course, I also love all of his Office scenes….so….
Oh My GAAAAAAAAAWD!!!! Office Thusday!! It’s really you! 🙂
An awesome treat to find this today, loved all the clips and updates. Favorite Steve moment?…wow, that is really hard.. Stop it Mosby! 😉 He’s so funny it’s hard to pick one. I love Michael Scott’s general love of his own sense of humor. The way he laughs/cries at his own jokes gets me every time. Favorite Michael episode has to be The Injury though. soooo good.
When he marked his date from Benihana! We laughed so hard and so long we missed most of the rest of the episode!
My favorite Steve moment would have to be when he calls Dwight an “ignorant slut” twice in saftey training.
My favorite Steve Carell moment was his “Responsible Drinking” segment he did with Stephen Colbert on The Daily Show. I can’t get through it without tears streaming down my face with laughter.
My favorite Steve Carell moment has to be from the episode of The Office where he signs up for a screen name: LittleKidLover. It cracks me up every time I think of it : D
I have so many Steve quotes that I love.
Little Miss Sunshine:
“Oh, hey Olive. Wow, you’re getting big… almost like a… real person.”
“Thank you for opening my eyes to what a loser I am! How much do i owe you for those pearls of wisdom?”
The 40-Year-Old Virgin
“I may not have had sex, but I’ll f**k you up!”
“There were two sides to that billboard, and they both hurt equally.”
“Yeah, I remember that girl, she was a ho… for sho”
“Who the… Who the f**k are you to put me on trial? I’ve never even met you. So why don’t you back the sh*t off all right? And stop with the inquisition.”
“You know what I don’t have to answer to you, you ain’t my b*tch. Kno’ wha I sayin’? So sh*t man, f**k it!”
“Hey, hey, hey, muuutha f*ckas!”
The Office
“When I said that I was king of forwards, you got to understand that I don’t come up with this stuff. I just forward it along. You wouldn’t arrest a guy who was just passing drugs from one guy to another.”
“Hey Jan, it’s me, Michael. I’m just calling to say that I think we need a little break. Permanently.”
“And, even though we’re still a family here at Dunder-Mifflin, families grow. And, at some point, the daddy can’t take a bath with the kids anymore. I am upper management, and it would be inappropriate for me to take a bath with Pam, as much as I might want to.”
“Would I rather be feared or loved? Umm…easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.”
“This is Michael Jackson” (to Ryan over the phone in a bad Michael Jackson voice)
“Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject, so you know you are getting the best possible information.”
“There were these huge bins of clothes. And everybody was rifling through them like crazy. And I grabbed one. And it fit. So I don’t think that this is totally just a woman’s suit. At the very least, it’s bisexual.”
“Weird, yeah. I didn’t get both of your messages.”
“Bros before hoes. Why? Because your bros are always there for you. They got your back after your ho rips your heart out for no good reason. And you were nothing but great to your ho, and you told her that she was the only ho for you. And that she was better than all the other hoes in the world. And then suddenly…she’s not yo’ ho no mo’.”
My favorite Steve Carell moment has got to be:
Jim: To tell you the truth, I … used to have a big thing for Pam, so …
Michael: Really. You’re kidding me. You and Pam? Wow. I would have never put you two together, you really hid it well. God! I usually have a radar for stuff like that. You know I made out with Jan …
Jim: Yeah, I know.
Michael: Yeah … yup. Well Pam is cute.
Jim: Yeah. She’s really funny. She’s warm … and she’s just … anyway.
Michael: Well if you like her so much, don’t give up.
Jim: She’s engaged.
Michael: BFD. Engaged ain’t married.
Jim: Huh.
Michael: Never, ever, EVER, give up.
I know everyone has been putting down hysterical moments (which I agree with!) but I LOVE this scene…probably one of my favorites in all of the Office.
oh ps, THANK YOU for bringing back office thursdays! I think you should totally at least do a fan vid a week 🙂
the drunk daily show thing, of course.
but the first few seconds of The Coup, when he goes “I’m Hungry!” and then does that stupid little Michael smirk that encompasses Michael’s character so well. He thinks he’s being hilarious and he’s just being smarmy. The coup was the first good episode of season 3 IMO. and then the show went down for a long time until maybe the Xmas episode. man, this seasons sure had a lot of ups and downs, and I’m not just talking about JAM. I’m talking quality wise.
Bring it back for season 4 people. keep your eyes on the ball, writers. get back to season 2 shape.
My favorite Steve moment, which was mentioned several times, was when he was doing that “responsible drinking” segment on the Daily Show. It makes it funnier becaue he was really drunk and not acting.
Another favorite is when he got a sugar high from the prezel get got on Pretzel Day. He was really hyper and then later he fell asleep at his desk.
and…..
and….
My favorite Steve Carell movement is a tie between the Bruce Almight gibberish scene and Prison Mike.
“The worst thing about prison was the Dementors. They were flying all over the place, and they were scary. And they’d come down, and they’d suck the soul out of your body, and it hurt.”
Hahahaha!
My favortie Steve Carrell moment is when on “The Office” he is trying to think of a way to describe Andy, and he says “He’s like Marv ‘whatshisname’, who wore women’s underwear. Great sportscaster, weird guy.” Or something to that effect. I also love anytime he says “That’s what she said!”. I love “The Office”!
My favorite Steve Carrell moment is his Golden Globe acceptance speech. Really any speech he does is hilarious. They need to give an award for best speech because he would definitely take it.
Favorite Steve Carrell moment?
I would have to say writing Casino Night would be my favorite thing Steve has done. The episode is hilarious and sweet and heartrenching.
Not to mention it includes the line “I hate so much about the things that you choose to be.” Great line and Great delivery.
Easily for me it’s the German Who Says Nice Things. Hands down. “Mr. Holland’s Opus is the feel-good movie of the YEAR!” And then he does that thing with his hands at the end and I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever laughed harder in my life. I truly do love The Office and all, but “Let’s all pile into the mini-van and get some frozen yogurt!” has it beat by just a miniscule amount. Miniscule.
Hands down… drunk skit with Steven Colbert. Funniest Steve Carrell moment ever!!
My favorite Steve Carell moment? Well, listing an Office moment is probably too predictable, but the “Faces Of Scranton” video in “Valentine’s Day” is just the greatest thing ever. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed harder.
“Great Scott!”
Saul’s answers had me laughing out loud at my desk! I have to say from 40 Year-Old Virgin, “She was a ho… fo sho.” And, “It’s a Mentos.” And the whole exchange he makes up as he’s painting his little soldier figurine: “You say your friends prefer virgins? Yeah, you know, I thought they might…” That whole movie is one big, awesome quote.
Also, I can’t believe no one mentioned the infamous, “Toby, I hate everything about what you choose to be.” Dawesome.
OH WAIT! How could I forget my all-time favorite one, from The Office:
“Abraham Lincoln said, ‘Do not be a racist or I will attack you with the North.'”
Yay! Office Thursday! Thank You GMMR, I love these! My favorite Steve Carell moment, so many fabulous ones. One of my favorites from Season 3 of The Office was at Benihana Christmas and Michael is telling Jim that he marked his new girlfriends arm so he could tell who she was, that just makes me laugh out loud and both Steve and John look like they are truly laughing at the moment as well.
I loved the Alcohol video by the way, way to go Mozarts Friend!
Don’t make me narrow it to one…Steve Carell is hilarious in everything, but here are some of my favorites from the Office just from the top of my head:
His facial expression suppressing his pain when he announces to the office that the branch was closing. He looks like he is ready to implode and it kills me.
Sitting with John Kras in Benihana Xmas when he is laughing about “marking her arm”…you could tell that was Steve and John just cracking up.
The interview with Kristen Veich (sp?) when John Kras is laughing so hard when Steve gets “emotional.”
He just makes me happy. Can’t wait to see Evan Almighty just to watch his genius.
Wow, so many to choose from. Let’s say an early favourite was Steve Carell on TDS doing “Slimming Down with Steve” where he ate a chunk of Crisco, because even as great as Steve is at not breaking, even he couldn’t make it through that gross moment without cracking up!
Also, there are a bunch of youtube clips of Steve Carell on The Dana Carvey show. I didn’t watch that show so I’m excited to check them out.

My favorite Steve moment is any moment from Diversity Day. Priceless!
My favourite Steve moment is definitely when he was a guest on Conan and he showed Conan how he made his kids laugh. Then they talked jibberish so the show could edit it out later.
My favorite Steve moment was right after they won the Emmy last year and Giuliana DePandi from E! was “interviewing” the cast. I don’t know why but that entire interview was so awkward and everything. However, Giuliana kept saying “hi” to Steve and Steve’s facial expressions were terrific. Also, Steve’s quip about how he has frozen pizzas back at his house… LOL!
Wow, there are so many good ones to choose from, but I think one of my favorites is at the end of Office Olympics when they are doing the closing ceremonies. Michael has no idea what is going on, but he thinks everyone is congratulating him on buying his condo and he gets tears in his eyes. Awww…Michael can be so cute sometimes!
A close second is the chest waxing scene from The 40 Year Old Virgin. I love when he screams “This is not a good look for me!” then turns around and thanks the woman.
My favourite Steve Carell moment was probably when he was on the Daily Show eating crisco (oh dear) and when he was on the office during safety training and grief consuling or the convict. But i do love all the office ones.
Well, my favourite Steve moment has been mentioned a lot (responsible drinking…how do I love thee? I always thought a good tv show would be one where we watch celebrities get drunk, and he brought my dream to fruition). Anyway, so I will post a different fave. I love him in the Office (obviously) but I also adore him in Anchorman. Everything he does there – playing the slow, dim-witted weather man. My husband and I still crack up when we think about the ‘fight’ scene. Steve is the best thing in that film (and I love all of the actors in that movie, so that is quite the kudos!).
My favorite Steve Carell moment would have to be from the first Christmas episode on The Office where he makes Phyllis and everyone else feel bad and then remedies it by going to the liquor store and asks if 15 bottles of vodka is enough to get 20 people plastered
my favorite Steve Carell moment is in 40 year-old virgin when he says “You know when you grab a woman’s breast and it feels like a bag of sand.” The way he says that line makes me laugh at least a thousand times.
My favorite Steve Carell moment is in “the coup” when Michael Scott finally folds and admits to Dwight that he knew about Dwight going behind his back and the whole promotion/demotion was not real. It’s my favorite moment because of Carell’s ability to convey Michael Scott character with such truth. You really believe that it was Dwight’s comment about the Sebring that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
My absolute favorite Steve Carell moment is in Season 2’s “Casino Night”. I love when he gets in the conversation regarding who should receive their charity check and Michael gets all confused about Afghans, Afghani’s and jokes about Aids. I watched that clip about 10 times before I moved onto the rest of the episode.
I can’t believe I haven’t commented here yet…my favorite Steve/Michael moment is the entire episode of The Injury…I too love waking up to the smell of bacon. 🙂
