Steve Carell on Kiss 108

Here’s a funny little midday ditty for ya. My friend Deb told me this story on Saturday and I thought it was funny so I thought I’d pass it along.Here in Boston, the big Top 40 radio station is Kiss 108 FM. Last week during the morning drive show, the host Matt Segal was (in jest) ripping into Steve Carell for being too big of a star to call into his hometown station. Carell, being from the area, was a frequent guest of Matty in his early years but on this latest press tour, Carell’s publicist denied Kiss 108 an interview. Ouch!

Lo and behold, Steve Carell’s brother-in-law was listening to the radio when they were mocking Steve. As soon as Steve heard he called the radio station directly himself. He actually called the request line because he didn’t know how else to get through. What a guy! Matt had already left for the day, but his sidekick Billy Costa conducted the interview.
