BIONIC WOMAN Recasting News
June 29, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Word on the street is that a major role in the upcoming NBC drama BIONIC WOMAN is being recast. Mae Whitman (Arrested Development) played Becca, the deaf sister of the Jamie, the lead character in the pilot. But Ausiello is now reporting that Whitman is out and they are looking for someone to take on the role of Becca. Rumor has it that Becca might not be deaf by the time the pilot hits the air in the fall.
I’m ok with this change. I actually thought Becca was one of my least favorite parts of an otherwise incredible pilot.

Well, I was looking forward to an Arrested Development star (well I guess she was guest star) coming back to tv, but I trust your judgment gmmr…

I’m confused. Am I missing something?
They’re recasting the character and ‘the character’ might not be deaf anymore…that’s how I understood it anyway.
I’ve always thought she was kind of Ann– I mean bland.
Kris – Sorry, I should have explained – Becca’s character was deaf in the pilot.
Her?
Thanks, GMMR, for the info. I understood that she was deaf in the pilot but was a little confused as to the recasting. I was trying to figure out if they were going to cast someone complete different or if they were just going to make her hearing instead. I understand now. Thanks =)
George Michael: She’s not bland.
Maeby: Are you sure? Under her school picture it said ‘not pictured’.
Poor Egg, I will forever miss her.
It’s a sad state of affairs. I was looking forward to seeing her in the role.
Aww i was hoping to see mae play in this is there any way to watch the pilot with mae in it
Enjoyed searching at this, quite very good stuff, thanks .
We would like to thank you just as before for the stunning ideas you offered Jesse when preparing her own post-graduate research and, most importantly, regarding providing every among the concepts in 1 blog post. In case we had been aware of your web page a year ago, we may possibly have been saved the unwanted measures we were implementing. Thank you extremely significantly.
A really interesting examine, I may not concur totally, but you do make some extremely valid points.
