SOPRANOS Best & OCTOBER ROAD Worst in Critics Poll
July 10, 2007 by Kath Skerry
TVWeek.com polled 35 of the top TV critics to see what shows soared and which shows sank during this past season. THE SOPRANOS seemed to be a favorite among all the critics and took the top spot of 2007 series. ABC’s OCTOBER ROAD didn’t fare too well and was voted the top…of the worst shows. And how the might have fallen – last year 24 was up near the top of the best shows, and this year not only didn’t it make the cut, but it was voted as the second worst show on TV. Ouch! Jack Bauer should forget about saving the world and concentrate on saving his own show.

i find it hard to believe that the wire was not submitted by multiple critics. year after year, entertainment weekly, the Times and other high level publications list it as not only the best show of the year but one of the top 5 of all time, period.
Veronica Mars should have been higher on the list in my humble opinion.
The Black Donnellys was a good show, it does not deserve to be on the “worst list” at all.
And The Office probably shouldn’t be that high, with this last mediocre season. I really hope Season Four picks itself up, and becomes less about parties and excursions.
Man on man…seeing Veronica Mars as #22 broke my heart…I mean, that’s a great number if you think of all the tv shows! Darn that CW.
I agree w/ Amy and sdr The Wire should be number 1 season 4 was the most talked about and one of the best seasons since 1.
The Office definetely should not be in the top 5 at all. This season was hit and miss.
My list in the top 5: The Wire, Sopranos, Rescue Me, Friday Night Lights, and out of all the comedies on the air 30 Rock should be #5.
I forgot to add where’s Scrubs? That show gets no love.
I just need to say that I totally agree that The Office is in the top 5.
The Office most definitely should be in the top 5. It has a unique format, a balanced and talented cast, and intelligent, sly humor. This season has been a transition season and although not as fluid and fitted at season 2, it was nonetheless hilarious and insightful.
I’m surprised The Sopranos was number one after all the complaints about the finale. At least it was Grey’s Anatomy. Hate that show.
At least VM was considered one of the good shows…and as a loyal VM fan I gotta admit season three was not that good.
Btw: Friday Night Lights on 3rd…no surprise here. Just like VM it´s an awesome show watched by journalists and not by actual ´real´ people.
I loved Black Donnellys…that being said…they’re right where they should be…
aww lol I love “October Road” … or Brian Greenberg, it’s definitely one of those.
WOOO! WHOOO! Go The Office!! I think it is placed perfectly!
