Catching Up on BIG BROTHER 8

I missed two BIG BROTHER 8 episodes while I was gone….so sad. I know you all probably don’t want to talk about it with me, but I had to write about it all the same because really, this show is so damn fascinating.

In the first Big Brother eviction of season 8, Carole was sent home with a vote of 10-1. Yeah, whatevs that’s not the important news here. Right after Carole left a new HOH was crowned and it was Jen. Can you believe it? Jen is frakkin’ HOH. WTF?! She is safe from eviction this week. So no matter what happens, we have to endure Jen for another week. Nooooo!! Can you imagine what it is like for her family watching her make a complete ass of herself 24/7? We all know reality TV show contestants have an overinflated ego, but Jen is off the charts. She is so self-absorbed that I wonder how she gets through the day. A few highlights:

• Zach, Mike and Dustin making a drinking game of every time Jen talks about herself. Ha ha. Again, she’s so self centered that she doesn’t even pick up on it. Thank God the guys were drinking water or they definitely would have had alcohol poisoning.

• Jen gets to see her HOH room for the first time, and shocker…she doesn’t like the personal pics that are hung up around the room. This is a trend with her. The houseguests only roll their eyes as she bitches and moans. She even takes down the ONLY pic of her and her mom because she says she doesn’t look good. Warped?

• Making a complete fool of herself, Jen once again tells Nick that she’s jealous that he is spending so much time with Danielle. It sounded like Jen was trying to blackmail Nick into spending more time with her. It was borderline creepy. Even with the risk of eviction Nick couldn’t pretend to give a rats ass about Jen. Love it!

• Talk about loving someone. Again, knowing that Jen hates him and that he is most likely going on the chopping block, Dick still doesn’t hesitate to rip Jen a new one about how self-centered and inconsiderate she is. Way to go Dick!! Jen just stares blankly at him and smiles proving there is NOTHING going on up where her brain should be.

Nomination Ceremony
This week’s nominations aren’t really a surprise. Jen put up Dick and Danielle explaining that the estranged father and daughter bring a lot of negative tension to the house. I call BS. She put up Dick because she hates Dick and Dick hates her. She put up Danielle because Jen wants all of Nick’s attention (which she is never going to get). Dick says that he will not campaign against his daughter. Honestly, if he wins POV I can see him giving it to Danielle so she can take herself off the block. I really hope that Dick stays and Danielle goes this week…only because I want to see Dick make Jen’s life a living hell. I sooo hate her.

America’s Player
America forced Eric to vote Carole out for eviction, which was a big win all around. This week he had to try to push HOH Jen to nominate a particular houseguest for eviction. Being a savvy Big Brother fan, Eric was interested to see who America wants evicted and was surprised to see it was Brainless Jess. Despite his best efforts Jess is safe, at least until the POV contest.This week Eric has to fake that he has a sleep walking disorder and has to end up in bed with another houseguest. America gets to choose the houseguest. Ha ha. Who would be most freaked about by Eric climbing into bed with them. This one could be awkward. Will it be married Kail? Or one of the boys? Dick’s reaction would be pretty funny, but as would Mike since I don’t think Eric or Mike have bonded much. Joe would spoon him and try to make out with him. This one is going to be good.

Live Feeds
I know the live feeds section on GMMR has been quiet, but I haven’t been watching so…I did get an email from a GMMR reader who is watching the feeds more than I am, so hopefully she will be able to give us more regular updates.
