BIG BROTHER Eviction Night
July 20, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Tonight was the second eviction of the BIG BROTHER 8 season. After the live votes were cast by the houseguests either Joe or Dick was going home.
Having watched a little bit of the live feeds I thought that Dick easily had the votes he needed to stay. But then I started getting some other tidbits from the live feeds that made me think that maybe Joe pulled it off and got the votes he needed. I was giddy with anticipation.
One by one the Chenbot called the houseguests into the Diary Room to cast their live vote. And one by one the houseguests voted to evict Joe. Well, all the houseguests with the exception of Kail. Yes, Mrs. Robinson was the lone hold out voting for Dick to leave. Nothing like putting a huge target on your back Kail. And what, if anything, does tonight’s vote say about the strength of the Mrs. Robinson Alliance? Nick, Zach & Mike all voted for Joe to go – is this something Kail knew of beforehand?
Once the vote was announced, Joe headed outside and joined Julie and to watch some of his goodbye messages. They were a bit harsh, but what the hell…he doesn’t really care. I have to say that I was a bit surprised that Joe wasn’t openly bashing Dustin the minute he walked out of the house. Just as he refused to hug Dustin when he walked into the house, he once again ignored his former boyfriend on the way out the door. Oh poor bitter Joe. But he showed restraint and it was nice to see him out on a high note.
Oh and how funny was it when it was revealed to Joe that Eric is America’s Player? And even better was when it was revealed that it was America’s choice to have Eric “sleepwalk” into Joe’s bed. He he.
Once Joe was booted it was back to business, and by business I mean the Head of Household competition. The houseguests were asked to answer a bunch of True or False questions based on events to date. In the end it was Dick who won the coveted HOH. YAY! I’m really excited that he won HOH this week. I’m ready for Dick to have a little more time to try to reconnect with Danielle. Plus, I want to see Jen and Kail squirm like the worms that they are trying to stay off the chopping block. Karma is a bitch…just ask Earl Hickey. Let’s hope that Dick get’s all kind of nasty now that he holds all the power.
Who do you think Dick should nominate for eviction? Jen and Kail might be the obvious choices based on Dick’s relationships with them, but do you think it’s strategically the right move to get rid of one of those women? I don’t know…

I was so excited when ED won HOH! I was freaking out because that just means so much torment for Hella-Tard Jen and Kail. Cannot wait to see him go after these two. Great TV will only get even greaterererest!
Kail is a stronger player, and this is his chance to get her out. That means he should put her up against a strong player and make sure she goes. Daniele or Mike seem to be the two best choices for that, although you know he’s not putting up Daniele. I’m 99% certain it’s going to be Kail and Mike, and that should be the end of the alliance.
I would bet anything he’d put Jen on the block. Maybe he won’t so when someone wins HOH, they can take someone off and he’d replace them with Jen. That would be SO great.
I think he will obviously be putting up Kail and Jen!!! Oh god, make sure he puts up that unitard loving ditz!!
I definitely feel that Kail is definitely a smart strategic choice for him to put up. I think he will put up Kail and Jen as the initial nominees and if Jen gets taken off the block, Mike will go up … but you never know!
