What to Watch…Thursday, August 23, 2007
August 23, 2007 by Kath Skerry
With all do respect to the shows listed below, I am so ready for my Thursday ‘What to Watch’ list to include my old favorites (The Office, Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy, The O.C….oh wait, RIP). But until September rolls around let’s enjoy what TV is offering us tonight. By the way, I’m including MAD MEN on this list because I hear it’s fantastic! I know, I know I should be watching – but who has the time? I have a life people…I don’t sit around all night watching TV! (Did you buy that? Did I sound convincing?)
Burn Notice
A house sitter for a millionaire is living the high life until his fiancée is kidnapped and held for a hefty ransom. Meanwhile, a bureaucrat offers Michael information on how to clear the burn notice, but he’s suspicious of the man’s motives.
Big Brother
Things are crazier than they have ever been in the Big Brother house. Tonight we will say goodbye to Jameka or Jen. But more importantly, just how much of this week’s chaos will Big Brother actually show during tonight’s broadcast?
Mad Men
Word spreads around the office about a surprise romantic affair; Peggy offers some superb suggestions during a pitch meeting, and her ideas are so well received that her future at the agency looks dramatically more promising.
Live From Abbey Road: Josh Groban
Three bands talk music, then perform a special set in the Abbey Road studios. Tonight’s guests are Josh Groban, Kasabian, and The Good, the Bad & the Queen.
Who Wants To Be A Superhero?
Best. Reality contest. Ever. (so says my friend Murph). Aspiring (and slightly deranged) heroes are exposed to their greatest fears and public humiliation as compete to star in a new comic book by comics legend Stan Lee.
All this and more, tonight….on your televisions! What’s on your playlist for tonight?

RIP The OC. Very Very Sad.
Mad Men is good. I just got into it. And you don’t even need to record it. If you have On Demand, AMC has all the eps posted for free. I’m not caught up yet but I like what I’ve watched. Be prepared for really backward roles for most of the women – these ladies needed Gloria Steinham and then some.
