NBC’s New Fall Shows at Blockbuster

If you want to check out NBC’s new Fall shows you don’t have to wait until they premiere to see them. And no, I’m not suggesting you download them illegally. Just head to Blockbuster and rent the pilot episodes CHUCK, JOURNEYMAN and LIFE (I guess BIONIC WOMAN wasn’t quite ready yet).
If you do go out and rent them, make sure you come back to GMMR and let us know what you thought of the new shows. (I’m secretly hoping you all love CHUCK as much as I do).
Thanks to Megan for the tip (she rented the premieres last night so hopefully she’ll share her thoughts).
NOTE: PLEASE do not place ANY spoilers for the premieres in the comments. All comments with spoilers will be removed.
GREY’S ANATOMY S4 Sneek Peek

After last season’s lackluster second half, I can’t say that I was chomping at the bit for the return of GREY’S ANATOMY. But after seeing these sneak peeks of the premiere episode I’m starting to get psyched. Really psyched.
Check out this scene from the season 4 premiere of GREY’S ANATOMY and see just how serious Shonda Rhimes is about recapturing the glory of season one. If you’ve watched GREY’S from the beginning then you might notice that things look a bit familiar.

If it’s McDreamy that you are looking for, then we’ve got him. Here’s another scene from the season premiere featuring McDreamy and the Grey sisters. Watch out!

A special thanks to BuzzSugar for first posting these videos. If you are ready for S3 to start but want a refresher of last season’s finale, check out BuzzSugar’s recap of “Didn’t We Almost Have it All.”
Neil Haskell Shirtless…Sigh

Stop what you’re doing and head over to JustJared.com right now to check out a whole bevy of pics of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE top four finalist Neil Haskell working out…shirtless. Haskell and first runner up, Danny Tidwell took some time out of rehearsing for the SYTYCD tour to work out on the track at UCLA. You think we could get them to perform their ‘dueling princes’ routine shirtless on the tour? Pretty please? I.MUST.STOP.STARING!!
For many, many more pics of shirtless Neil visit JustJared.com. Just added…more pics of Danny Tidwell shirtless.
Jason Dohring in MOONLIGHT

Normally I TiVo right through TV commercials. But lately, while watching CBS, I’ve been careful not to fast forward through too fast and risk missing a promo for their new show MOONLIGHT. I didn’t want to miss a promo that could potentially feature former VERONICA MARS star turned Moonlight vampire, Jason Dohring. Until today I hadn’t seen one.
Check out the first Moonlight promo featuring Jason Dohring!! Ok, so maybe he’s in the promo for about 2 seconds, but I’ll take what I can get. The show premieres on Friday, September 28th at 9/8c on CBS. More on Moonlight later this week when I post my full 2007 Fall Preview.

SUPERNATURAL…Too Late to the Party
September 12, 2007 by Kath Skerry
One of the shows I’m really bummed I never got into was SUPERNATURAL. I tried to watch it when it first premiered, but I’m a big baby and thought it was going to be too scary for me. But from the vocal and rabid fanbase it has developed, I wish I had given it a fair shot. I really liked what I saw at Comic-Con, but this isn’t a show I can jump into this late in the game (and it’s not like I have the time or DVR space anyway).
I know many of you are SUPERNATURAL fans….well you’re in luck because it just so happens that my BFF, Ducky, is a huge SUPERNATURAL fan. He talks about the show a ton on his site…hell, he was even invited out to Vancouver earlier this year for a set visit to watch them film the season finale. So if you are looking for all the latest on Sam & Dean, make sure you check out DuckyDoesTV.com. If you head over there now you can check out some SUPERNATURAL season premiere pics as well as some shots of the new SUPERNATURAL girls Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohen. I know these ladies will be causing much angst for the Winchester brothers this season (see I’m not totally clueless). And I also know that until fans get to see these girls in action, they are causing much angst to SUPERNATURAL fans.
BIG BROTHER Recap: Eviction Night
September 12, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Filed under Big Brother, Big Brother Recap, Big Brother Spoilers
I’m pretty bleery-eyed right now, but I couldn’t go to bed without posting a recap of tonight’s BIG BROTHER live eviction episode. It’s going to be short and sweet.
Previously on Big Brother 8…
Zach won HOH and put Dick and Daniele on the block. Dick spent the week verbally abusing Zach because that’s what Dick does. Now don’t get me wrong, I think Zach is an overgrown ape, and his view of himself and his influence in this game is completely warped, but Dick is the biggest hypocrite out there. So he and Dani break their word and their alliance with Jess & Eric and it’s “strategy” but when Zack turns the table on him they bitch and moan like 8 year olds. That’s BS. Dani carried Dick through this game. As much as I’ve never really been a fan of The Donato’s, Danielle better walk away with the grand prize – she deserves it.
The Jury House…
Tonight we got our first glimpse of the jury house. I’m not sure I buy that the evicted houseguests have all been living together this whole time…I think CBS is trying to make it look like they were, but I’ve heard otherwise from some sources close to CBS. But anyway, Dustin was joined by Jen, and they were joined by Amber who was then joined by Jess and minutes later Eric. Nothing too exciting to report there. Why don’t they have a Jury House feed – I’d watch it!
The POV Competition, Ceremony & Live Evicition…
Ok, so the POV competition comes around and it’s some houseguest match game that looked pretty complicated. Being the POV Queen that she is, Daniele took the last and most important POV of the season before running around the backyard and screaming like a crazy person on crack. Dick’s excitement put his already massive ego into overdrive to the point I just muted him until it was over.
In the POV ceremony, Dani used the POV on her Dad and took Dick off the block, leaving herself and Jameka to fight it out for Dick’s vote. Dick used his eviction vote on Jameka who then went outside and exchanged pleasantries with Julie Chen.
The HOH Competition…
The next HOH competition commenced in the backyard, and Dick, Dani and Zach found themselves standing on small podiums, with water pouring down on them trying to jump over a little rotating rabbit while holding the HOH key. The last person standing while still holding the key will win HOH. The show ended with the HOH competition still underway.
So who won this BIG BROTHER HOH competition? I’ll be posting the updates from the live feed on the BIG BROTHER Spoilers page.
Rainn Wilson & Kanye West Emmy Duet

Like I wasn’t excited enough for the Emmys and now you tell me Kanye West and Dwight Schrute himself, Rainn Wilson will share the stage? Hot damn!! Check out this info, courtesy of E!’s Marc Malkin.
Kanye West may be feeling scorned by MTV, but he doesn’t mind when the Emmys Rainn on his parade.
As I told you last week, the hip-hop superstar has signed on to perform during television’s big hoedown, in a skit inspired by one or two music competition shows.
That’s still happening, and it’s getting even better.
An insider tells me West will be joined onstage for the number by funnyman Rainn Wilson, a nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his brilliant work on The Office.
Reps for West, Wilson and the Emmys did not comment.

Is BIG BROTHER’s Dick Cheating?
September 11, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Check out this clip from the BIG BROTHER live feeds. In it Dick tells his daughter Daniele about the secret code that his son, Vincent, sent to him via his Head of Household letter. Dick claims that he and Vincent worked out a code before Dick entered the Big Brother house to let him know who he could and couldn’t trust. All HOH letters are checked by producers to ensure no notes concerning gameplay are included. If this is indeed code, is Dick cheating?
[gv data=”r6jWw51Icvg”][/gv]
That being said, I’d by lying if I hadn’t already asked myself why other houseguests before hadn’t employed this same strategy. I always thought the HOH letters could contain clues from home. Remember the code that Linc/LJ/Veronica had for sending secret messages on Prison Break? The first letter of each line would spell a phrase horizontally…but Vincent and Dick’s way works too.
MY BOYS Season Finale – Who Did P.J. Choose?

Did any of you watch the season finale of MY BOYS last night? If you did, please tell me you screamed at the TV like I did when the show faded to black before we got to see who P.J. brought along to Italy with her? Ugh, I’m dying! Another fantastic season finale of this show!!
Good news for us (and I suppose them, but more us) – MY BOYS was just picked up for another season. No word yet on when we will see new episodes, but once I know…you’ll know.
But back to the matter at hand – who do you think P.J. invited along to Italy?
My guesses after the jump…

Exciting days for fans of THE OFFICE. Starting tonight TBS will be running repeats of THE OFFICE every Tuesday night starting with Season One. If you were late to the show this is a fantastic time to catch up. I couldn’t be more excited to relive the show from the beginning again (because really, I haven’t watched the DVD and the saved eps on my TiVo enough). If that wasn’t exciting enough, we’ve got another BIG BROTHER eviction tonight. Woo hoo! Good TV makes me happy.
What will you be watching tonight? OFFICE fans, will you be watching the repeats on TBS?
THE OFFICE
“Pilot”
In the series pilot, Michael is told a downsizing plan is to be confidential; thus, it spreads like wildfire.
“Diversity Day”
Despite creating the need for a diversity seminar, Michael feels he’s the best candidate to run one, which he does after the facilitator leaves. (Note: After the lackluster pilot, this episode began my all consuming love for THE OFFICE. “Diversity Days”, written by B.J. Novak is brilliant and one of the best episode of the entire series.)
Big Brother
“Eviction Night”
It’s a special Tuesday night eviction. The POV will be awarded and used (or not used as they case may be) and another houseguest will be sent home leaving the final three in the house.
Damages
“We are Not Animals”
The Frobisher case now hinges on Gregory Malina’s deposition, so Patty must keep him safe. Meanwhile, Ellen and Tom hide something from Patty, who they fear is manipulating them. I’m caught up an I don’t want to be spoiled.)
Talk Show Round Up…
The Late Show with David Letterman
Dr. Phil McGraw, Suzanne Vega
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Denis Leary, Robert Klein, Spoon
Jimmy Kimmel Live
50 Cent, Al Michaels
Late Night with Conan O’Brien
Richard Gere, Seann William Scott, the Chesterfield Kings
Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

Meeting Lee Pace of PUSHING DAISIES

Sometimes I just love my life!! This past weekend I worked the red carpet for the PUSHING DAISIES screening at the New York Television Festival (much more to follow). In addition to talking to the show’s creator, Bryan Fuller (Heroes, Wonderfalls), I was lucky enough to get a little time with PUSHING DAISIES star, Lee Pace.
I think you all know by know that Lee has made the short list of my top TV boyfriends. Just wait until you see the show and you will know exactly what I’m talking about. He’s beyond adorable, and I’m happy to report that he’s an all around nice guy (and did I mention a good hugger…oh yeah!). We got to chat a little this weekend and I now I’m even more smitten.
It was hot as H-E-double hockey sticks on Saturday, so please forgive my appearance…just keep staring at Lee and enjoy!!
It’s not big secret that PUSHING DAISIES is my favorite fall pilot. For all the best PUSHING DAISIES news visit ThePieMaker.com
TV Squad Writer Adam Finley Passes Away

My personal condolences go out to the family and friends of TVSquad.com writer, Adam Finley, who passed away tragically on Thursday morning after being struck by a bus while he was on his bike. Adam was only 30 years old. I never met Adam in person but he and I would exchange some emails from time to time to talk TV and blogging. In the early days of GMMR, Adam was extremely supportive and we always appreciated any advice he could give us.
TVSquad.com is paying tribute to Adam today by reposting some his best columns. They also provided link to Adam’s blog/podcast Raise Your Children My Way Damnit, and his MySpace page.

I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to MY BOYS tonight. Who will PJ bring to Rome? Am I wrong to still hope that it’s Brendan? As for other TV, with the new shows starting next week many shows are rerunning their season finales as a refresher. I’ll keep you in the loop as we get prepared for next week. Exciting!!
What are you watching tonight?
My Boys
“110 Perfect Solutions”
PJ’s date (Michael Landes) joins the gang’s poker festivities, but he ends up feeling completely neglected. Elsewhere, Andy decides to buy a boat, but there might be nasty ripple effects when he fails to inform his wife about the purchase.
“Rome, if You Want To”
In the season finale, PJ and Stephanie’s trip to Italy draws nearer, as a dateless PJ mulls over which man she’ll ask to join her—botanist Evan (Michael Landes), roving reporter Thorn (Jeremy Sisto) or baseball player Matt (Travis Schuldt).
Seat42F recently got a chance to talk to Kellee Stewart who plays P.J.’s best friend, Stephanie. Check out this great interview.
Greek
“Black & White and Read All Over”
In the first-season finale, the sororities and fraternities are reeling after a shocking exposé of the Greek system is published in the school newspaper.
Rerun Central
Prison Break
“Fin del Camin”
In Panama, Michael, Bellick and Sucre team up (reluctantly and with different motives) in an attempt to nab T-Bag. Mahone is hot on their trail, and Linc is hot on Mahone’s. In Chicago, Sara goes on trial.
“Sona”
Michael races against the clock to rescue Linc and beat Mahone at his own game. Meanwhile, Sucre risks everything to save Maricruz; T-Bag and Bellick find themselves up a river in Panama; and in Chicago, Kellerman testifies in Sara’s trial.
How I Met Your Mother
“Something Borrowed”
Marshall and Lily’s wedding is plagued by problems, but Barney, of all people, saves the day
Heroes
“Parasite”
Nathan meets Linderman in person just before the election; Hiro goes for the sword again with dire consequences; Suresh makes a breakthrough on “the list”; another person with powers, Candice Wilmer (Missy Peregrym), shows up.
