October 3, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Just one last PUSHING DAISIES post to get you ready for tonight (it’s days like these where it’s great to have your own blog). To get a sense of what you’re going to be watching tonight, check out this extended clip and find out what all the fuss is about. [gv data=”9qikoHqugOs”][/gv] How To Watch The Premiere of PUSHING DAISES:
- Set your DVR, Tivo, VCR’s and Watches for 8/9c. Not only will this guarantee you see the “Pie-lette,” it allows for repeated viewings and some seriously heavy swooning.
- Turn off your cell phones, walk away from the computer and put the kids to bed.
- Listen, no seriously sit back and listen to the narration and dialogue. Not only is it incredibly beautiful it’s quite informative and every word has meaning.
- Get a notebook ready to copy your favorite quotes.
- Come back to ThePieMaker.com the minute the premiere is over to enter our EXCLUSIVE PUSHING DAISIES Contest.
On the Set of PUSHING DAISIES: Last Wednesday night I was in my PJ’s ready to watching “Gossip Girl” when I got an email from Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller inviting me to stop by the set for a little visit. It was amazing. I’ve wanted to share it with GMMR readers since I got back, but I wanted to wait until today’s premiere. I hope you enjoy…
Arriving on the Warner Bros lot Wednesday night was surreal. Following the little map provided by the security guard I walked through trailers, sound stages and couldn’t help but take in the history of the place while on my short trip to the Pushing Daisies production offices. We’re sure you’ll fall in love with Ned The Pie Maker and a Girl Named Chuck! Ok that’s it…no more pushing of the daisies from me. I’m spent!
Please click here to join GMMR in a PUSHING DAISIES discussion immediately following the pilot.
Everyone who leaves a comment tonight over at ThePieMaker.com is entered for an EXCLUSIVE Pushing Daisies giveaway with amazing prizes including Official PUSHING DAISIES crew t-shirts and an autographed “Pie-lette” script.

I am so excited to watch tonight- and I’ve already seen the pilot! I’ve been telling everyone I know about this show for weeks (I’m sure they’re sick of me talking about it by now lol)
Hey Kath! just went over to thepiemaker.com and played around for awhile and i’m even more super-pysched to see the premiere tonight!! i know already i’m gonna be a dedicated fan of Pushing Daisies. I’ve already called my sister in Boston and told her to skip ANTM tonight so she can watch the premiere. haha!!! she agreed because she trusts me so much. i mean i did turn her onto The Office…so yea i pretty much know what i’m talking about. However i wouldn’t know anything if it wasn’t for your site!!! thanks for everything. it only gets better on GMMR.
Today is going sooo slow – and I’ve already seen the pilot too! lol I’ve been bugging my friends and family about it too. I can’t imagine how excited I’m going to be to see a new episode next week!
Oh and The Piemaker – I love it!
So I am watching the show right now and Ned the pie maker is super cute… I will certainly be following this show closely…he is running in 3rd as MY tv boyfriend following, Grey’s Derek and Heroes, Peter (lookin all hot this season with his short hair and bare chest!)
Thanks for talking about this show…it made certain that I didnt miss it!
I am afraid I was very disappointed. I was looking forward to it because of all the great reviews, but I took it off my season pass already.
The show looks great. I got HDTV 2 weeks ago and this show takes full advantage of it.
But I didn’t like any character except Chi McBride’s. I found them annoying and off putting.
I had problem with the premise as well. I like SF and could easily accept, for the show, the idea he could bring people back to life. But the special rules – over 1 minute and someone else dies and the original person dies if touched again – seemed arbitrary and designed to just set up the love but don’t touch premise.
If I have nothing else to do next Wednesday I may checkit again, but maybe not.
I already posted my feelings on the Pie-lette at thepiemaker.com but i thought i’d post a quick sample of how i felt here:
I love Love LOVED this show! Absolutely brilliant! Wonderful! Gorgeous (this includes Ned)! Gah!
