What to Watch…Wednesday, October 3, 2007
October 3, 2007 by Kath Skerry
Wednesday is the new Thursday! With so much TV to watch it’s almost impossible not to leave a good show behind. Why do the network execs (or as they like to be called, TV Gods) do this to us? There’s just too much to watch.
You know my must watch show recommendation for tonight is PUSHING DAISIES, but I’m not going to harass you too much about it now…but only because I’ve got a ton of Pushing Daisies news coming up in just a little bit.
So here’s taste of what I’ll be watching tonight. But more important, what will YOU be watching?
Pushing Daisies | Series Premiere | 8pm on ABC
“Pie-lette”
A man with the ability to bring the dead back to life uses his power to solve murder cases and to reconnect with his deceased childhood sweetheart. First up: Ned (Lee Pace) revives Chuck (Anna Friel), and attempts to solve her murder.
Gossip Girl | 9pm on The CW
“Poison Ivy”
Dan and Nate compete for an usher position when Ivy League representatives visit their school. Meanwhile, Blair learns a secret about Serena; Jenny and Eric get acquainted; and Rufus asks Lily for a favor.
America’s Next Top Model | 8pm on The CW
“The Girls Go Rock Climbing”
The models wear straitjackets to perfect their runway walk; one contestant gets to fly to Paris after winning a challenge; the photo shoot takes place on a rock-climbing wall; and one model is sent home.
Bionic Woman | 9pm on NBC
“Paradise Lost”
Jaime runs into a friendly stranger (Isaiah Washington), but the meeting is far from accidental—he works for the Berkut Group. Elsewhere, Jaime embarks on her first mission.
Private Practice | 9pm on ABC
Cooper hires a stripper to spice up Sam’s bachelor life, upsetting Naomi, and, later, Addison, when the stripper asks Pete to treat a medical problem. Meanwhile, the Oceanside doctors work with King (KaDee Strickland) to diagnose a sick baby.
Life | 10pm on NBC
“Tear Asunder”
Crews and Reese investigate the murder of a bride killed on her wedding night; Stark invites an uneasy Charlie to a barbecue at his house; Ted encounters a mysterious woman looking for Charlie.
Dirty Sexy Money | 10pm on ABC
“The Lions”
Nick begins his quest to find his father’s killer; Juliet balks at a family-photo event with real lions; Tripp pressures Patrick to throw his hat into the senatorial ring; Jeremy’s latest fling is likely to incur his twin’s wrath.
Also playing…

- Kid Nation | 8pm on CBS

Anyone not watching “Back To You” is comitting a crime against your television. “Pushing Daisies” looks interesting, but I hate it when a show becomes a pet of all the critics like that.
I must have different tastes than most for my tv viewing because I don’t think Wednesday is that great. I am really looking forward to Pushing Daisies because it seems like my kind of show, and I typically agree with critics like Matt Roush. Other that, I like Bionic Woman so far and I record Back to You. I tried out several of the other new shows on Wednesday and didn’t care for them at all.
It’s Pushing Daisies, Private Practice (for now) and DSM for me. I can’t wait for DSM! I watched the pilot 3 times and still love it. It’s one of my favortire new shows. I can’t wait to see if Pushing Daisies lives up to your hype! And now, I feel bad – what is Back to You? Is that that Kelsey Grammer show that I have ignored?
I’m for sure watching Pushing Daisies…but don’t forget that tonight is Top Chef season finale. AND for the first time on a Bravo reality show, they’re announcing the winner LIVE.
Tonight is also the premiere of South Park, in which Cartman is pleased to discover that he has Tourettes syndrome.
And other than that, the only show that remotely interests me tonight is Pushing Daisies.
