THE AMAZING RACE Returns to CBS
October 22, 2007 by Kath Skerry
THE AMAZING RACE, winner of five consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Competition Series, returns to CBS for its 12th season on, Sunday, Nov. 4 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).
“If there ever was a season that I consider one of the best, it’s this one,” said Bertram van Munster,” executive producer, director and co-creator of THE AMAZING RACE. “It’s insanely funny, fast-paced and dramatic all at once. Teams are in hot pursuit of one another at every location and its reality television at its nail-biting best.”
This season, teams will travel approximately 50,000 miles, covering five new countries including Ireland, Lithuania and Croatia.
A note to any CBS execs that might be reading this: PLEASE figure out how to deal with the issues of the end of THE AMAZING RACE being cut off for those of us who record the show on DVR. With football running over, 60 Minutes gets pushed back and the end (if not more) of TAR is inevitably cut off. It’s really disappointing to your viewers and I hope you can figure out a solution.

Just set your recorder to record tha show after TAR as well and you will get the ending. Duh.

No need for the “Duh” now is there? I’m looking for an alternative as I have other programs recording on Sunday night and don’t want to use up the space on my DVR by recording more TV than I need to.
TAR is the BEST reality show ever! I’m so glad it’s back soon and not waiting until January or February. Thanks, CBS!
Possible recording suggestion: go stone age with a VCR. 🙂
I know it’s a dilemma, but Ijust tell tivo to go 1/2 hour longer. I’ve upgraded my TiVo’s harddrive so space isn’t as much of an issue. But I hate it when it pushes TAR back onto other shows I want to record! Maybe the should just give TAR a decent time slot!
