With the slapcountodwn slowly ticking down until 3:01pm, a nervous Barney did all he could to convince Marshall that the slap really wasn’t necessary on Thanksgiving. Slap Bet Commissioner Lily agreed and called a moratorium on slapping for the holiday. Marshall was bummed (me too). But lucky for all of us, Barney’s gloating bated Lily enough that she lifted the respite with one second left on the clock, and Marshall’s slap left Barney on the floor.
