What to Watch…Friday, November 23, 2007

November 23, 2007 by

No FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS tonight. Ugh. Double ugh. Well maybe you FNL fans can give MOONLIGHT a shot (although I’m not going to pretend that they are similar enough that if you like one you’ll like the other.)

Here’s what I’ll be watching tonight…and you?

Moonlight | 9pm on CBS
Moonlight“Fleur de Lis”
Beth gets jealous when Mick works on a case with a female photographer who bears a striking resemblance to his ex-wife. Beth then researches the woman’s past and discovers the mystery lady isn’t who she claims to be.

High School Musical 2 | 8pm on The Disney Channel
High School Musical 2Sharpay tries to lure Troy away from his girlfriend Gabriella by getting him hired for the summer at a posh country club where she can keep an eye on him. – Yes, I’ll be watching. I just saw the first High School Musical last week and I didn’t hate it. And since I’ll probably be with my niece tonight who is a huge fan, I think we’ll be watching this one. I dread the day when she finds out that Vanexxxa Hudgens is a dirty, dirty, girl.

Also on…

  • Ghost Whisperer | 8pm on CBS
  • Men in Trees | 8pm on ABC
  • Women’s Murder Club | 9pm on NBC
  • Numb3rs | 10pm on ABC
  • Next Great American Band | 8pm on Fox

Oh my word. It must be a bad tv night when you’re recommending HSM2. 😉

I dig Moonlight–but sometimes it feels like a really bad cable drama (e.g., one of those Canadian produced series that they air on Lifetime, WeTV, etc.) with forced chemistry and tension, etc. The scenes with Alex O’Loughlin (sp?) and Shannyn Sossamon (sp again?) are usually pretty good, but the scenes with any other two actors (save Jason Dohring) are really awkward and cable-worthy.
