Hayden & Milo….Really

Really? So Milo you are this super hot, women falling at your feet stud and you are dating your 18 year old co-star? Really? You didn’t stop to think that despite her being gorgeous, and probably very mature for her age that you might look a bit skeevy being 30 dating an 18 year old? Really? She’s just that perfect that you couldn’t resist?I don’t know, there’s something just not right about the pairing of Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere. I don’t mind the age gap as much when the couple are say 30 and 42, but there’s just something icky about 18 and 30. Ewww.
All I know is that this “relationship” best not affect HEROES in any way, shape or form. That show doesn’t need anything else working against it. And I don’t know about you but I’m not looking forward to scenes with Clare and Uncle Peter anytime soon.
Sorry to be all gossipy on you this morning, but I just couldn’t let this one be. Thoughts?

wow, I have heard this rumour a while ago, but both of them denied this, now they confirmed that its true.
If it is true, I’m with you about the skeeviness of this union, but since hayden looks older then her 18 years, and milo looks younger, they do look pretty good together, if they were two strangers on the street and I didn’t know how old they were I wouldn’t even think anything of it.
And you know what they say age ain’t nothing but a number.
I still thinks its weird though.

Yea it is a bit creepy. I think because they are celebrities and “known” it seems better than just two random people you would see on the street. Not that I think that makes it better, it just tends to *seem* that way doesn’t it? Since we feel like we know them.
That being said, I’m holding out for J. Kras and I’m only 18 sooo….

I think it does help that he doesn’t look 30. But when I was 18, the thought of dating someone even 25 grossed me out a little. I just was not a fan of huge age differences back then. Now I am 23 and the thought of dating someone 30 doesn’t quite make me feel weird (It just so happens Jensen Ackles falls in that range so I have to keep my options open). But it does seem kind of like he’s taking advantage of a younger girl…maybe that’s what I don’t like about it? But I think I just don’t like him because of the rumors about him and Alexis Bledel’s relationship so he already has strikes in my book.
Is this really such a big surprise or turn off? This kind of thing happens in Hollywood all the time. Look at Ashton and Demi (to name just one).
I really don’t see anything wrong with this. If they like each other and they make each other happy, then it really isn’t anyone’s place to judge.
I’ve personally always been the type that goes for older men. As a matter of fact, when I was 18, I was with a 30 yr. old too, and let me tell you, there a benefits to being with someone with experience ladies 😉 . The only reason we didn’t end up together is because society told us that our age difference was too great.
Women mature much younger and it takes men twice as long to grow up, so if you really think about it, it makes much more sense for girls to be dating someone older than them. How much older is an individual preference.
My first thought was “eww”! If she were even 5 years older I don’t think I would have that reaction. There’s just a world of life experience separating them right now.
I don’t follow that much celebrity gossip, but wasn’t she very recently dating some other (more age appropriate) guy? Is this a brand new thing?
The number of years isn’t that big of a deal, but the fact that she is young enough to still be in high school makes it kinda creepy. I’m only 22, but I would at least give pause before dating an 18-year old.
The age difference itself doesn’t really bother me (now that I know that she actually IS 18 ;-)) but my first thought was, “Oh my God, he plays her uncle on the show!”

i think it just skeevs me out because the rumors started about a month after she turned 18. i think it would be different if she turned 18 in like march or something but the fact that the were rumored to be dating as soon as she turned 18 is kind of creepy.
and btw, i’m 18 and i have celebrity crushes on milo, john krasinski, and adam brody, but ill be honest if i met them right (if only…) now and they asked me out, i would feel kind of weird that i just turned 18 and a guy 12, 10, or 9 years older than me just asked me out. just my opinion though
when I was 18 a 30 year-old co-worker asked me how old i was. i got the vibe he wanted to ask me out but when I said i was 18 he backed off. i thought he was hot but i felt way too young for him. hayden is 18 but when you’re famous you mature much faster. i think the number of years itself isn’t a big deal but it’s still weird. I agree with Jennie that rumors of his relationship with Alexis Bledel have made me a little wary of him, no matter how hot he is!
I don’t agree Shari. When you’re famous, you do not mautre any faster than if you’re not famous. If you need proof, just look at the celebrity gossip sites any day of the week.
I think if they make each other happy and if they have no problem with it, who are we to judge.

I totally agree with you! I thought it was kind of creepy when I realized that Milo was 30. Think about it this way… a year ago, Milo was 29, and Hayden was jailbait. They are both very good-looking people, but c’mon… Guh-ross!
i don’t like it, not one bit. i go and name my dog Milo and this is the thanks i get? he’s way to hot for her anyways and oh yeah, dating an 18 yr old at 30 is well…totally WRONG. thanks kath!
