What to Watch…Thursday, January 17, 2008
January 17, 2008 by Kath Skerry
You know what sucks about being on the West Coast? Even if I get up super early to post to GMMR, it’s already late in the morning on the East Coast. I feel like I’m always just a bit behind. Normally I stay up kind of late and watch all my shows and then write about them before I hit my pillow, but with no TiVo in the hotels, I’m lucky if I can get one show in a night. And since I’m not quite done with the bitching and moaning, it seems that my router back home in Boston needs to be restarted which means I can’t even access my Slingbox. Screw the starving children in Africa, I’m the one who you should feel sorry for (and please don’t send any emails, I’m just kidding).
My lack of TV watching has resulted in few posts over the past 2 weeks…sorry. But I miss you guys. I miss the days of reading your comments, and finding out what you thought about the show. I’m ready for GMMR to be back to its normal self – damn you WGA strike (and by that I mean, support the writers).
Ok, ok, enough from me. On to tonight’s picks:
Ugly Betty | 8pm on ABC | New
“Odor in the Court”
Betty’s new perfume—a fragrance dreamed up by the deceased Fey Sommers—has bizarre effects on herself and Henry; Claire goes on trial for killing Fey; Wilhelmina continues her quest to be part of the Meade family.
ER | 10pm on NBC | New
“Atonement”
Teamwork takes on a new meaning for Neela as her sojourn in Ortho turns into a contact sport. Pratt hesitates when Bettina tries to move their relationship forward. Sam and Gates lock horns over work.
Without a Trace | 10pm on CBS | New
“Articles 32”
A veterans-hospital worker vanishes and the team has two leads, including the suspicion that an antiwar group may be involved in the disappearance. Det. Grant Mars: James Marsters. Laura Richards: Erin Chambers. Quentin Richards: John M. Jackson.
Special Pick:
The Office | 9pm on NBC
“Dunder Mifflin Infinity”
Tonight we get a special half hour version of “Dunder Mifflin Infinity”. When this episode originally aired it was an hour long (and a half hour too long at that). As was the case with a few of the hour long Office episodes from earlier this season, “Dunder Mifflin Infinity” had a brilliant and laugh out loud funny first half and a pretty dreadful second half (do the words Michael, gift baskets, GPS and a lake ring any bells…yeah, it wasn’t pretty.) But tonight we get, in my opinion, one of the funniest half hours of TV this season. Check out the episode tonight if only to watch the scene where Kelly tells Ryan she’s pregnant…classic!
What will YOU be watching tonight…
Be my Friend? As always, GMMR’s daily “What to Watch” is powered by MeeVee’s interactive TV listings. I’ve just registered over at MeeVee but I don’t have a lot of friends to talk TV with over there. And with all of MeeVee’s TV content, there’s a LOT to talk about!! Will you register and add me as your friend? (username: GMMR). Thanks!!!

This is why people shouldn’t be able to “WRITE” at 6am. Thanks for the catch.
