New Kids on the Block Reunion Watch ’08
January 29, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Forget about Britney, Lindsay and the rest. I’m sick of hearing their spoiled celebrity behavior day in and day out. You want real drama? How about the mystery surrounding the possible reunion of New Kids on the Block? Will they? Won’t they? It’s almost too much to take.Since People Magazine first published a story about the possible reunion of NKOTB last week, the world (or those of us who were teens during the New Kids reign) have been all a buzz about the boys finally, finally getting back together. Just when we got our hopes us, Danny Wood squashes them with a message calling all the take just rumor. But he quickly goes on to say that if a reunion were to happen, the news would come from the official New Kids website, www.nkotb.com.
Just two days ago, the official website has nothing more than a placeholder graphic, but today, well today there’s a short retrospective video featuring a sample of a brand new NKOTB song that the five original members (yes, even Jonathan) recorded this past November in Orlando.
So if the New Kids aren’t getting back together, then who is funding a brand new website and why are they all getting together to record new material.
Not a TV story, but I’m going to be keeping a close watch on this story as it unfolds. So stay tuned to GiveMeMyRemote.com for all the latest on New Kids on the Block – Reunion Watch ’08.

I’ve got my fingers crossed on this. They were my first concert 17 years ago and I would love nothing more than to get the opportunity to see them in concert again.

The 29 year old woman on the outside is pretending not to make a big deal about this, but the 11year old girl inside of me is freakin out. My parents would not take me to the concert in 1989 so I am totally excited about maybe having a second chance. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I’m totally with you all on this… if this happens, both my sisters will be getting tickets to a show care of their favorite little sister… i got the shaft last time they were in concert because i was “too young…” it’ll be a great 30th birthday present for my sister! PLEASE let this be true!
Supposedly, Best Buy is re-releasing two of their albums later this week (Hanging Tough and Step By Step)… hmmmm
That website really makes you think that Something is definitely up!!!
When I first heard this news, I wasn’t sure what to think. But, I’m actually pretty excited about it now. I wonder if they can really pull it off without it being totally cheesy??
Back in the day, every free square inch of my bedroom walls was papered with posters and pictures from every imaginable teen magazine out there, I went to concerts, had all the merchandise, I wore out my Hangin’ Tough video tape and, above all, I fancied myself the love of Donnie Wahlberg’s life.
If this reunion entails a concert tour — I am there, baby!!!
P.S. – How many memories does that “The Right Stuff” video on their website bring back?? I can remember watching the video countdown on MTV with Adam Curry EVERY. DAY. praying one of the Kids videos would make it — and they often did!!
I wasn’t too excited either at first, but the more I read the more exciting it gets. I’m with you Cam, you could not see my walls at all! I’m surprised I didn’t send my parents to the poorhouse with all of the stuff they bought me.
I did see Jordan maybe a a year ago when he did a tour of small clubs. He actually came to my little hometown so some friend’s and I went to see him (I mean, come on it was only 10 bucks…why not?!?! haha). It was a little cheesy but fun. I kind of felt bad for him, going from the success of NKOTB, playing sold out shows in huge coliseums to playing in a rinky dink “club” attached to a bowling alley.
So good for them. I hope they do reunite and make a great comeback!!
I have been consumed by this news for the past three days. The suspense is killing me! I may be a 30 year old wife, mother of two and professional but I have never lost my love for NKOTB over the course of the past 19 years. I have followed each of their solo careers (Joe’s albums are awesome), but would love to see them back together, in whatever capacity that may be. I never thought I would see anything like this again and plan to do whatever I need to in order to see them perform – so guys you better stop teasing us!
im really glad nkotb is back togetherim 33and i feel like a teenager again i saw them once in concert and i want to see them again and see jordan kn ight up close us nkotb fans from the 80s and 90s better stick close and stick by them
I would love to see them together again. How funny would that concert be? Thousands of screaming 30 year old women feeling like they’re 11 again? NKOTB was my first concert, too in 1990.
OMG I am soo excited that they are reuniting.. my 14 year old son told me about it when he heard and I told him he had made my life. I took my kids about 8 years ago to a local radio station having a free concert in their parking lot cause Joe was there and we actually got to meet him after the concert so if they reunite I will be taking my kids with me again. I actually have my daughters knowing the lines to their songs and sing along when I put the tape in. I can’t wait!!!!!
