What to Watch…Thursday, February 7, 2008
February 7, 2008 by Kath Skerry
It might not be ‘comedy night done right’, but tonight’s lineup is definitely ‘must see TV’. Too bad for NBC that ABC is the place to be.
Even thought I’ve already seen it, I’m really excited for LOST tonight. It’s so good and I can’t wait to talk to you all about it. Tonight we learn all about the ‘rescuers’ from Naomi’s boat. And by all I mean very little. But it’s still one hell of an episode.
And although I failed to mention it last week, definitely give ELI STONE a shot. It’s quirky, charming and the cast is fabulous (and includes Spy Daddy – Victor Garber, AND Doc Abbott – Tom Amades…reason alone enough to watch. It’s a little Ally McBeal but the lead Johnny Lee Miller is a lot less annoying than Calista back in the day. Plus there’s George Michael, and who doesn’t love George Michael.
NBC is premiering LIPSTICK JUNGLE tonight. Sorry, but It completely failed to get my attention. I’m not watching, but if you do I’d love for you to let me know what you thought about it.
Oh and it looks like I originally overlooked the premiere of SURVIVOR tonight. Since it’s not up against anything I’m watching, I think I’ll give it a shot tonight.
Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites | 8pm on CBS
Ten ultra-fans of the show compete against 10 former castaways amid the Rock Islands of Palau, Micronesia. The fans and favorites are divided into two separate tribes. Upon arriving, the fans have no idea they will be playing against former contestants. Jeff Probst is the host and as always, Johnny Fairplay is the asshat.
Smallville | 8pm on The CW
“Siren”
Chloe runs afoul of the Black Canary (Alaina Huffman) when she procures one of Lex’s project files for Oliver. Lex suspects the Green Arrow and retaliates, while Lois discovers Oliver’s secret.
Lost | 9pm on ABC
“Confirmed Dead”
The survivors begin to question the intentions of their supposed rescuers when four strangers arrive on the island. Ken Leung. Daniel Faraday: Jeremy Davies. Charlotte: Rebecca Mader. Frank Lapidus: Jeff Fahey. (Note: If you missed last week’s season premiere, ABC is replaying it tonight at 8pm)
Eli Stone | 10pm on ABC
“Freedom”
After two weeks without visions, Eli is reluctant to take the case of a Mexican couple, who are suing a produce conglomerate for their use of pesticides. But he changes his mind after another round of hallucinations.
Lipstick Jungle | 10pm on NBC
Debut: Three powerful New York women navigate the business world, friendship and romance in this series based on “Sex and the City” scribe Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name. First up: Film exec Wendy (Brooke Shields) tries to land a big deal.
Now the all important question. What will YOU be watching?

Doesn’t Survivor start up again tonight? That’s where I’ll be. I missed the Lost train (or plane as it may be) from the start so I’ll have to catch up with that on DVD someday. As for the rest – bleh. It’s not Thursday without The Office!
Oh right…yeah, I guess I should add that.
I may be missing The Office, but Lost is an AWESOME substitute!

I know you watch Lost but you could at least put Supernatural on the list!
I am wicked stoked for Lost tonight!
I was so surprised to see Doc Abbott from Everwood on Eli Stone – I did a little couch dance.
I enjoyed last week, interested to see how it develops.
Johnny Lee Miller is too damn adorable in this part.
Gotta Have Faith!
I loved Eli Stone last week. I hope it cont.’s to be as good! I need to take a few days off and rent the previous seasons of Lost. The promos pull me in but I have never faithfully watched!
Ha ha ha…Karen, sorry but I can’t imagine that you will get caught up with LOST until after Lila leaves from college. There have been 72 episodes of LOST that have already aired. So unless you can find 72 hours to dedicate to the show it might be tough.
But If you give me an hour, I can get you up to speed enough so you could enjoy it.
Ditto on Supernatural. Smallville got a mention but not Supernatural?!
Hey friend…thought I’d just let you know what I thought of “Lipstick Jungle.” You can check out my review at from the Box Seat
