A Bit of Sad News from GMMR

For those of you who have been reading GMMR daily you may have noticed the lack of updates lately. I’ve been traveling a lot and just haven’t had much time to dedicate to the site. I’m lucky if I’m watching more than one show a day, and even then I haven’t had much time to write about what I am watching.
To that end I’ve decided to take a little break from GMMR. There are so many great TV sites out there that you’ll have plenty to read. Maybe this break will be just what I need to regroup and pick up my TV addiction again. Until then, I just wanted to say thanks to you all for everything. I’ll miss you.

Ok, so maybe this wasn’t the best APRIL FOOLS joke, but it was still my little way to apologize for the lack of fun on GMMR lately. No, I’m not shutting down my baby, but some of the rest is true. I do feel the site has been lacking as of late and I do need to get back on track. (And even I’m sick of the ‘Leatherheads’ posts). GMMR hasn’t been what I’ve wanted it to be as of late. Traveling is a bitch and it certainly hasn’t helped my TV watching. But even more than that, I feel like I’m still feeling the aftershocks of the WGA strike. But I’m determined to get back to more of a routine and we’ll have much more to talk about soon.
Keep the comments coming when you do read a post that interests you. The real reward for GMMR is the commentary you all provide (and I read each and every comment left on this site). And as always, you can contact me directly to provide scoop (oh I love those emails), feedback on the site, questions, etc here.
So yeah, I’m not going anywhere (sorry to disappoint those of you who were ready to see me go away forever…LOL).
Oh and can someone help me prepare for next year’s April Fools Day. This GMMR is shutting down joke is lame. Ha ha!!

NOT FUNNY!!! It’s too early in the morning for me to have a panic attack. I totally forgot it was April Fools Day today.
I don’t know what you consider a lack of updates but don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s not like there’s a ton of TV to be talking about these days. Please don’t scare me like that.
Whoa! My heart totally sank into the pit of my stomach — complete panic! And I think you even pulled this on us last year and I completely panicked then!! Fool me once, strike one. Fool me twice, strike three.

Cruel cruel joke! And I fell for it last year, too! Don’t worry – you’ll be re-energized with posts I think in the near future with a new batch of tv! woo hoo!!
I just checked and decided that this wasn’t very nice of you. I was going to come to Boston or LA or wherever you are this week and kick your ass.
Seriously Kath – not funny. I was seriously upset and ready to kick your arse. I haven’t been fooled on 4/1 in ages – good job. Have a safe trip back to MA!

That was NOT cool! I just came over from Ducky’s page (which also has been lacking updates), and then read that you were taking a break! I thought, “oh my GOD … what am I going to do at work now? WORK? Oh HALE no!” So I’m glad it’s April 1st, and you were kidding. Please stick around!!! 🙂
Kath – I don’t know what we would all do without you if this had been for real! 🙂 But I’m sure once more of the shows come back on the air with new eps (especially The Office!), there will be a lot more activity going on. You’re my link to all things TV!

Jeez, you almost made me cry at work! I have always been a TV freak but since I started reading GMMR, I have been even more so. You point me towards new and interesting things that I might not have given a chance before (as I hope our comments do for you!) Wow – I know I have been reading GMMR for at least a year now, because this was the same prank you played last year!! Seriously, so glad to know (once again) that it is just a joke.
Wow — Glad I wasn’t going to be the first comment because you got me until I read the other comments!! How would I live vicariously through your travels then?? Seriously though, you’ve gotten me to watch a lot more “good” TV that I didn’t know was out there, so thank you for that!

As soon as I saw this post, i knew you were joking. After being a loyal mugglenet reader for at least 5 years, i’m familiar with the Bloggers Favorite April Fool’s Joke. I forgot you had done this last year too. At least other ppl fell for it.
I think many of us TV addicts are feeling the tv slump right now too. I used to watch tv every night of the week. Now I watch on Monday (HIMYM) only. But soon The Office and Lost will be back, along with many other good shows that I don’t watch.
You know…when you use the same joke as last year it just comes across as lazy… 😉
Ok, since your bored in LA, take a car over to he Office set and cling yourself to the cyclone fence till they let you in…
I was freaking out — mainly because I want to read the rest of your Buffy Top 5 posts! 🙂 And, finally, Office Thursday are on the horizon.
Now I like to think that I’m smarter than the average bear, but you got me. You saddened me more than the news that NKOTB will not be reuniting after all due to a massive blowout between Joey & Jordan…

Oh my gosh! I think my heart actually stopped when I read you were shutting down the site! You certainly fooled me! Thank goodness you aren’t really shutting down, I love reading your site – I read it everyday….and check frequently to see if you’ve updated throughout the day!
And don’t worry about the not updating as often, I hardly watch tv anymore, I’ve been so busy with school. oh and just as long as we talk about the Office…which comes back next week! Yay!

Please know I adore this site and appreciate all the hard work you’ve put into it. The strike did a number on us all and I’m amazed you kept going at all during it. For now, know that I never think you’re slacking. I’m grateful for any and all content you provide. Oh, and up here in Northern California, it’s flippin’ cold today, so I feel your SoCal pain!

OMG! That is not funny! I check your site daily and even though there aren’t always updates, it doesn’t faze me – Ausiello and E’s Kristen don’t have daily updates either. And I like your postings more because you’re not beholden to TPTB for your paycheck. 🙂 Don’t scare me like that!!

Oh boy that wasn’t funny at all! Especially after reading the Office Tally announcement (which better be a joke, damn it!) Your site is supremely awesome and I’d be so sad if I couldn’t look at it each day! I do think you should put a donation button on your site because your updates are worth it! ( Of course, if people don’t dig deep into those pockets maybe you’d only have enough for that loaf of bread you’ve had your eye on!) DUDE! I was so bummed out. Thank god it wasnt true! Even though we will never meet we have the exact same taste in TV boyfriends and shows and I would cry if you went away. Who will I double date with if Lee Pace AND JKras both come a’knocking at my door??
