Rave Reviews for FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL
April 6, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Two of my favorite TV peeps, Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Heroes) and Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother), are starring together in a new comedy, FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL. A few of my friends caught a sneak peek and had nothing but rave reviews (and not only for Segel’s full frontal). But when the big wigs like Richard Roeper of Ebert & Roeper put the movie on his list of his favorite comedies of all time, well that doesn’t suck.
The movie opens on April 18th so make sure you check it out on opening night. For those of you who haven’t seen the trailer, check it out below…as well as Roeper’s and guest critic Michael Phillips glowing reviews!
I can’t wait to see this movie!!

Thanks for the suggestion… I completely forgot about that one, shame on me and it stars Kristen Bell 🙂
I do hope fans manage to save Moonlight, otherwise where am I going to see Jason Dohring? 🙂
Wow – I’m so impressed with the glowing reviews. I had thought this would be a “wait for dvd” movie, but now I think I’ll have to see it sooner than that. Go Jason Segel – since Freaks and Geeks it’s been obvious how amazingly funny and shameless he is. It’s about time he’s in the limelight!
I think they took down the Roeper review from youtube? In any case, I have been looking forward to this movie ever since I first heard Jason Segel was writing it! So glad that it’s getting good reviews, too – Jason is hilarious and of course I love Kristin Bell. I can’t wait to see this either. I definitely love seeing them both on TV but I hope this also helps both of them get into more starring roles in movies, too.
Ok. I just got back from seeing the movie. I saw a sneak preview down here at the University of Miami, and let me just say, the whole movie was really good. It wasn’t just funny. It wasn’t just romantic. The ending didn’t make me cringe. The middle didn’t bore me. The movie didn’t suffer from being too short or too long. The trailer didn’t tell me the whole movie, or all of the best jokes.
I genuinely love this movie. I really like spending time with this movie.
I don’t want to give anything away, and I don’t want to say too much because maybe I’m still glowing from a really enjoyable hour and fifty minutes, but if I can make clear one thing it’s this…
GO SEE THIS MOVIE OPENING NIGHT.

I have a ton of extra preview screening passes if you want to see it Wednesday 4/9 at the Boston Common Theater 7pm. Can’t wait to see this tomorrow, so excited!
If you don’t get my email address, visit me at WWK and my screen name there is in parentheses above. I’ll make sure to check my PMs or go into the KB thread since PMs there suck monkey balls.
