Band from TV & Teri Hatcher on “Idol Gives Back”
April 10, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Um, hmm, yeah – Mom always said that if you don’t have anything nice to say then you shouldn’t say anything at all so…
Teri was fronting Band from TV (whom I love). For those of you who don’t know (and were therefore probably quite confused last night), Band from TV is a band made up of a few familiar faces from the world of television. The group, which consists of Greg Grunberg (Heroes), Bob Guiney (The Bachelor), Bonnie Sommerville (Boston Legal), Hugh Laurie (House), James Denton (Desperate Housewives) and Jesse Spencer (House) and Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) performs all their gigs in support of charities. A wonderful idea and a great band…if they could only put Hatcher on backup vocals.

Totally agree – she was tough to watch. Good effort, Teri, but stick to your day job.
How was the movie?

Haha, you wrote “Huge Laurie” instead of “Hugh Laurie”.
Luckily, she’s not a regular member, so there’s always that…
But Jesse Spencer on — what is that? Electric violin? Swoon. Talk about hitting my weak spot.
Jesse Spencer plays the violin?! That makes my day.
i didn’t think teri was that bad!!! she’s not carrie underwood.. but give it another watch.. did you still think she was horrible? i don’t know, i thought she was alright. i kept waiting for her voice to crack or something but it didn’t so i was kind of proud of her..
I think that was not … bad. Not great, but definitely better than some people, I’m sure. I thought they had another female singer … a redhead, who was a LOT better than Teri.
But Jesse Spencer … wow. Who knew the man could play a mean fiddle like that? Not me!
If you listen closely, Hatcher did fine. Just a few off notes here and there. Hell, Fergie did the same with Barracuda, she hit a few ‘off’ notes as well.
Stop criticizing.
I thought Teri did a fabulous job. In fact I’ve been trying to download the video and can’t find where to do that. iTunes doesn’t have it any more that I can find. I would play this everyday that’s how great she did. Love the sultry voice. And she’s NOT hard to look at. My husband loves it too!
