GOSSIP GIRL Spoilers…Anyone?

(With any luck this post and its comments will contain spoilers for GOSSIP GIRL. Read at your own risk) Bad blogger. Bad, bad blogger. I call myself a TV fan and a fan of GOSSIP GIRL yet I just realized that it’s Wednesday and we still haven’t talked about Monday night’s episode yet. That’s what I get for having a life. I’m ashamed. I hope at least one of you is up for chatting about it with me. I won’t take up too much of your time, but I had to share a few thoughts I had.
- I was to slap the silly out of Little J. What a smug and annoying little bitch. Rufus needs to get that girl under control before she ends up selling her body on the streets on Reno…just because she heard that’s what all the popular girls were doing these days.
- I want Chuck to be a good guy. He has it in him. He just needs to be loved. Will someone love him? Blair? Can’t you take care of him? Neither on of you were hugged enough as children – love each other.
- Does anywhere in NYC check IDs? I’m 32 and I still get carded all the time. These rich bitches booze it up wherever and whenever. Oh what’s that? GOSSIP GIRL isn’t based in reality. Oops, my bad. Please ignore the preceding comment.
- I like Serena and I’m pulling for her. Don’t fall to the dark side. You can do it. Stick with Dan – he will lead you on the path of the good.
- Bravo to the producers for casting Michelle Trachtenberg as Georgina. Love that bitch!!
Serena is was a bad girl…
Ok, so can someone please throw me some spoilers or at least some speculation about the dirt that G has over S? My early speculation was that Serena had an abortion – perhaps Nate’s love child?! But based on the promos it seems that perhaps there may have been some sexage caught on tape. Oh Serena. I’m thinking it’s got to be pretty bad to have our girl so rattled. If it is a sex tape, who will Serena be vamping it up a la Paris Hilton with? Perhaps Georgina herself? If the rumors Perez Hilton are spewing out are true then that might just the be case. Seems S and G are in for a little girl on girl action in an upcoming ep.
But maybe it’s not a sex tape but something else entirely. Any ideas? Any speculation? More importantly…any spoilers?

I’ll throw my guesses/spoilers in for fun. From what I’ve been reading on a lot of websites, it is a sex tape, but it might not be quite as bad as one thinks. Some writeup of the second to last episode says that Georgina tries to get a genuine van der Woodsen sex tape…but that could mean of someone other than Serena as well. So, my guess is that Georgina has tape of her and S talking about fooling around together with some guy, but then the tape only has noises and not much else…but who knows.
Also, as everyone suspected, it seems apparent that Eric is the one that comes out. However, the alleged shocker on one site is that he’s caught making out with Asher (aka Jenny’s new beau). Additionally, my prediction is that Serena is the one that ends up overdosing (Chace Crawford had told E! that someone overdoses in the second-to-last episode).
Finally, I predict that Rufus and Lily will get together (she won’t marry Bart) when he surprises her in the wedding chamber pre-ceremony…and Georgina will be gone by season’s end (her parents want to send her to a boarding school, apparently).
Not sure if any of that is right or accurate, but it will certainly be an interesting final three episodes!!!
Thanks AK. I knew about Eric (worst kept secret), but I don’t think I heard about the overdose. Interesting. Why am I hoping it’s Jenny? I don’t want her to be killed off, but a little scare would be fine.
My pleasure sharing what I could find. I wanted to add that Rufus surprising Lily in the wedding chamber is definitely happening…what happens in the wedding chamber is unknown to us. I’m hoping it’s Jenny as well. I loved her character when she was the clever kid in with the bitchy (and, um, unrealistic) rich kids. Her as the queen bee doesn’t work for me. I think that’s the point…but it’s annoying. It reminds me of when they brought Oliver on the OC. Yes, they successfully made everyone hate him…and in a lesser way everyone also hated the show a little bit (well, those people that liked it and stuck with it in the first place!).
I think that Rufus and Lily are going to make out (finally!) a bit when he visits her, maybe they’ll even do the nasty. But I think she could end up marrying Bart. I hope that isn’t the case. Can you imagine how awkward it would be for Lily and Rufus to hook up if Dan and Serena do break-up?
I think it’s going to turn out the Georgina is actually gay as well. I think she’s kind of obseessed with Serena and I think they had some sort of taped rendezvous and maybe that’s why she’s so angry at Serena. Though I honestly don’t think a sex tape alone would be enough to drive Serena away to boarding school, especially since it obviously wasn’t public knowledge at the time.
I hate to say it, but I don’t see Dan and Serena staying together. I don’t want them to break up, but I think it’s inevitable. The series is in its first season, so realistically I can’t see them keeping two of the main characters together for the show’s whole run. I think they’ll have that Ross and Rachel feel and will end up together in the long, long run (I hope!), but she’ll have a few flings, as will he.

i read that the reason that Serena left for boarding school was that her and Georgina were filmed doing drugs with some of their friends, one of them overdosed and Serena and Georgina left.. and i think their friend died.. but im not sure
how do you know that it is nate who overdoeses

I think that Serena and Georgina had a thing and now Georgina wants her back… but i hope not… it would be very awkward if serena is gay.
my guess is that a sexy night got violent and ended in the girls killing this dude thats in the sex tape.
She killed someone!!!!!!!!! OMG! But I don’t understand what G was saying in the tape like, “put this here she won’t notice…” I have NO IDEA! Has anyone read the books, do they know what happened?

The tape is S & G doing coke with a drug dealer. While they are doing some threesome type thing the drug dealer OD’s and S & G do nothing and leave. S is also the one who overdoses, in the next episode I believe.
yeah the books are totally different- only the first book was right on… in the books erics older than serena, goes to brown, is really hot, and not gay..

I think that the guy that serena sleaps with BY ACCIDENT if the guy that Chuck hates-the one that did gambling w/ nate in an earlier episode and the one who stole chucks baseball. I’m not positive but thats who it looks like on the commercial.
OMG I need to know more! We know now that Serena “says” she killed someone. But I do not believe it to be her actually MURDERING someone like some cold blood killer….

yeah, hate to admit it…i was once a teenager on the upper east side. no, they do not check IDs…and if they do, the fakes you can get in china town are sufficient. it does seem like a lot of drinking..but growing up in new york city is nothing like growing up anywhere else. for your 18th birthday youre smoking hookah and getting drunk dancing on tables in the village as the waiter ANNOUNCES its your 18th birthday (actually saw this happen.) So the show really isnt as far from reality for new york city teenagers as it seems.
I have been following gossip girl from the beginning and i have read most of the books and in them nate is a big druggie, so i think its nate that ODS? The series hasnt followed the books too much so thats just my guess. In my opinion i think dan and serena should break up i think its starting to get a little too boring.
i think the person who was supposedly killed by serena actually OD’d. i think somehow serena failed to get her help or maybe pushed her to take the drugs. that would explain why georgina sent her coke as one of the gifts. also serena didnt say she murdered anyone she said killed which doesnt nessecarily make it intentional. just my theory though…sound plausible to anyone?
