UGLY BETTY: “Burning Questions”

Mode Magazine is one hell of a place to work. The deaths, the destruction, the mayhem, the coups, the tranny bosses – all that and they still manage to get a magazine out. How do they do?

So what extraordinary events went down last night? Well Renee convinced Daniel that Betty was in love with him which isn’t true because Betty is in love with Henry (and Gio a little bit but she doesn’t full realize that yet). Renee’s still popping the placebos that Mark swapped in exchange for her crazy pills. This all leads to Renee becoming convinced that she was going to lose Daniel to Betty (wah?). So Renee did what ever crazy, paranoid, jealous person would do – well first she was so rude as to interrupt a meeting with Christiano Siriano (how dare she) and oh yeah, she tried to kill Betty. Don’t worry, you’ve seen the name of the show – Betty is still kickin’. (And Christian is still fierce…wait, is that word out?)

UGLY BETTY was a marked improvement over last week, but I’m still feeling like they need to get back to focusing on the funny. So much drama once again. Didn’t this show win the award for Best Comedy? If I remember correctly, comedy is still all about the Ha Ha’s, right? There BEST be some Marc and Amanda scenes next week…I’m going through withdrawal.

A few more random thoughts…

• I could definitely use a little more Hilda/Gina Gambarro in my life. Speaking of, did anyone think that trashy Gina looks eerily like Vanessa from GOSSIP GIRL?

• The best moment of the entire episode had to be the arrival of PROJECT RUNWAY’S Christian Siriano. That boy can act and he offered the best two lines of the entire episode: “The House of Siriano has arrived. Worship me bitches.”
  and [to Alexis] “Hello Feroshia…you certainly are a hot tranny mess…minus the mess, of course.“

• Betty: [upon finding Wilhemina’s secret celebrity dirt files] “I don’t know why she’s sitting on that. Someone needs to take him down.” Ha ha

• When Daniel finally makes that long walk down the aisle – mark my words…it will be with Amanda.

• Gio or Henry? You decide.

Was last night’s UGLY BETTY a hot tranny mess? (And can someone tell me if that’s a good thing or a bad thing?)
