David Cook Wins American Idol (Watch)

It seems that technology is up to its old tricks once again. I’ve received many panicked emails from those who didn’t get to enjoy David Cook’s winning moment because their DVRs cut off just as his name was being announced. What a bummer.

For those of you who missed it, here is the BIG announcement and David’s classy and spectacular last performance.

…and that’s all she wrote. Because SHE is exhausted and needs to go to bed. Thanks to everyone for another incredible AMERICAN IDOL season. It was great to watch it with you for the past 19 weeks.

    I’ll admit it, I cried through almost the whole end of the show. As soon as he started tearing up, I was a goner. I loved how classy he was when he won. That’s been one consistent trait of his we’ve seen throughout the season.

    My favorite part was at the VERY end of the show when David Cook’s brother mouths “That’s my brother!” to the camera. So completely sweet.

    GMMR, you’re MY hero as I said on the other thread. Why did I watch this again after I put my make-up on? What was i thinking? This guy made me love him.

    You are the BEST! Thank you so much for posting these. I spent most of the rest of the night trying to catch it, but with no luck. I can’t believe the stupid DVR system crapped out at the crucial moment!!

    We wait and watch, loyal to American Idol all the way, and they mess up the ending??!!! Gaaa!!!
    Ohh I hate when my recorder does that.
    In rightous retaliation, I’m skipping through two minutes of ads to get back at my tv for doing that.

    Thank you so much for putting the ending AND the commericals on here!
    I’ve loved David Cook from the beginning and am so glad and shocked he won (from all the hype on David A.)
    I still tear up when I think of his face as he won. I could barely go to sleep last night, I was so excited!
    Cannot wait for the tour and his c.d. to come out!

    i dint get to watch it on that wednesday so i tried to wait til i got home to watch it but my friend ruined it for me halfway through the morning. but im glad that you had the vid up so i can SEE it. thanks u rock.
    david cook is awesome. ♥
    he is such a great singer and i luv how he said “give it up for david archuleta” that was so sweet.
    i think they became good friends.
    but im glad dc won, even though i luved them both from the start.
