What to Watch…Thursday, June 19, 2008

And one…and two…and stretch. Breathe, breathe. And one…and two…and stretch. No, I’m not getting in a morning workout, that’s just my DVR preparing itself for the Thursday night TV extravaganza tonight. Both DVRs are called into duty tonight with so much to choose from. And don’t forget to drink your coffee to help you stay up late for the talk shows because missing Jason Bateman on Letterman and Steve Carell on Jimmy Kimmel would be sinful.

I’m going to be out in Boston meeting with up some GMMR readers (yay!) and then watching tonight’s episode of MY BOYS together along with star Jamie Kaler. It’s going to be a great night.

So You Think You Can Dance | 8pm on Fox
Two of the final 18 dancers are eliminated. Flo Rida is performing tonight. Fingers crossed that Shawty makes an appearance wearing perhaps some apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur (with the fur). Rumors of a Shane Sparks group number tonight have me a little more excited than I should be.

Last Comic Standing | 8:30pm on NBC
The mission to discover stand-up talent continues, with guest appraisers Lonny Ross and Keith Powell, both from “30 Rock,” auditioning a crop of comics in Miami.

The Bill Engvall Show | 9pm on TBS
“Ask Your Mother”
Bill decides that he needs to have more involvement in the kids’ lives after he learns they tend to seek advice from Susan rather than him; Paul becomes frustrated with his love life after the woman he is dating refuses to answer his emails. [Win Season 1 of THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW on DVD from GMMR]

My Boys | 9:30pm on TBS
“Dinner Party”
The boys become enamored with the attractive Swedish nanny who was recently hired by Andy and Meredith, resulting in a battle for the nanny’s affections; PJ plays match maker and convinces her friends to go on dates with Kenny and Mike.

Kathy Griffin: My Life of the D-List | 10pm on Bravo
Kathy decides that she needs to get to know her tour manager and her assistant’s assistant better, so she books stand-up comedy performances in their hometowns; Kathy becomes obsessed with awards and sets her sights on winning a Grammy.

Swingtown | 10pm on CBS
“Double Exposure”
Susan tries to mend her friendship with Janet by asking her to help plan a housewarming party, but Trina intrudes with a bloated guest list and an unconventional idea involving fondue dipping.

Fear Itself | 10pm on NBC
“The Family Man”
A man (Colin Ferguson) swaps bodies with a jailed killer after a near-death experience and must find a way to save his family from behind bars. Ronny Yu directed. Written by Dan Knauf.
