Red Sox Blame It On the Rain Delay – Papelbon and Del Carmen Remix
June 22, 2008 by Kath Skerry
No one can really argue that the Boston Red Sox are a team full of personality. The reigning World Series Champs have entertained us a lot with their antics over the past few seasons, both on and off the field. And for fans of the Sox I thought I would share another instant classic with you. If case you missed it, Red Sox pitchers Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Del Carmen have recorded a little video to entertain the crowd during those pesky rain delays.
Perhaps not exactly TV related but I had a giggle all the same.

Ah, a loyal Boston sports fan, eh? You and my BF would get along great. He doesn’t really follow baseball, but supports the Sox out of loyalty. There’s an elderly man at our local grocery store who labours under the delusion that we actually watch/follow baseball. Since he’s also a Sox fan, he’s always commenting on the game in a way that demands input – “so, how about that home run?” My boyfriend always goes “uh…I didn’t see it, I had to work” and tries to escape. It’s quite funny.
Thanks for posting this! I saw a clip of it on the news and kept laughing! I suppose if you’re outside of Boston it doesn’t seem so funny, but it fits so well. Can you imagine the Yankees doing something like this? You’re the best!
I was at the game yesterday and besides going into 13 innings, that video was one of the highlights!
LMAO! Pap is SHOT OUT! I love him though and Manny is funny too…
