Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (Act II) – Live
July 17, 2008 by Kath Skerry
DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG, the internet sensation sweeping the nation (and subsequently becoming a total time suck for me since I can’t stop watching it) is back today with it’s second installment ACT II.
After their first ‘audible connection’, Billy and Penny have struck up a nice laundership, but with her relationship with Captain Hammer growing, will Billy be able to sit back and watch or will he have to call on his inner badass, Dr. Horrible, to once again take on Captain Hammer? With Penny’s heart on the line, the stakes have been raised. Oh and the freeze ray thing…issues.
Watch ACT II now at www.DrHorrible.com. And if you’re a fan, why not head over to iTunes and but all three Acts for only $3.99. The videos will only be up at DrHorrible.com for a limited time so get to it.

Act II goes to NPH (I thought Nathan Fillion stole Act I with his amazing entrance, but NPH was amazing here!)
A few favorite moments:
– NPH in the background at the soup kitchen, ladeling soup and missing the bowls
– When NPH said “psych” after he said he hated doing laundry and Felicia Day’s character said she loved it.
– “You’re driving your spork into your leg.”
– “What a crazy random happenstance.”
NPH’s delivery was off the charts awesome.
“The hammer is my penis”
“I have a PhD in Horribleness”
Holy crap I just love every second of this! So awesome! My love for NPH has soared to new heights.
I have the season pass, but Act II is not showing as available yet (I just watched it online). Is that just me, or is there a delay in the Itunes version?
I bought the season pass, and Act II isn’t up on mine either. I think it’s just a little delay.
I don’t watch How I Met Your Mother, and really haven’t seen NPH since back when Doogie Howser was the coolest thing ever, but I have to say, the look on his face when Penny was singing to him in the laundromat. Little crush right there. Awww. Also love his facial expressions. Of course I think Captain Hammer is hysterical also.
And as a side note. I miss Buffy. i miss Joss Whedon. And I can’t wait til the faill when The Dollhouse comes out becasue the man is my hero. 🙂
I have only watched each act like 3 times each, but I was driving earlier and didn’t even realize that I was singing the mans gotta do what a mans gotta do song. It’s soooo catchy!
I bought the Season Pass from iTunes this morning, and only Act 1 was available. I can’t wait for Act 2 to show up there–this is great! NPH is wonderful, and anytime Nathan Fillion is on the screen, I’ll tune in.
I really liked Act II, but I thought it was much darker than the first act. Check out my full thoughts here: http://masontechbeat.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-hold-phd-in-horribleness.html
