What to Watch…Thursday, July 31, 2008 (UPDATED)
July 31, 2008 by Kath Skerry
It’s been a long time since I went a whole day without even logging on to GMMR. Unfortunately the Comic Con plague reared it’s ugly head once again this year and knocked me right on my ass. Thankfully I avoided the walking pneumonia that I came home with after last year’s Con, but I’m still fighting a miserable cold. And yup, that’s my excuse for not updating at all yesterday.
I’m not feeling much better today, but I’m going to fight through it. Might as well start with today’s What to Watch list, right? Here’s a few picks from tonight’s TV…
**Big Brother 10 | 8pm on CBS**
I totally forgot that CBS moved the BIG BROTHER elimination episodes from Sunday to Thursday. It’s not on my TiVo or on TV Guide so I can’t say for sure that it’s on at 8pm tonight, but definitely look for it tonight.
So You Think You Can Dance | 9pm on Fox
The final two dancers are sent home leaving the final four to compete in next week’s season finale. What? We’ve got Mark, Twitch, Joshua, Katee, Chelsie and Courtney left. Who will be eliminated and who will be one step closer to being named America’s Favorite Dancer?
Flashpoint | 10pm on CBS
The team attempts to rescue a police officer who is being held hostage by an angry family member. [GMMR: How many times has this show changed nights already? I can’t keep track of it. Is anyone watching?]
Last Comic Standing | 8:00pm on NBC
The final five stand-up comics are divulged, after which the crowning quintet perform. Also: The irreverent group the Dan Band perform.[GMMR: I love The Dan Band…I might have to watch just for them.]
The Bill Engvall Show | 9pm on TBS
“Dream Lover”
Bill thinks Susan’s feelings that he will have an affair with a woman named Penelope are ridiculous until a Penelope waits on him at a restaurant; Trent studies for license and Lauren decides to help him; Susan wants Bill to go to the doctor.
My Boys | 9:30pm on TBS
“Jack & Bobby”
Bobby’s brother Jack hits on P.J. while everyone is at the family ranch for Bobby’s wedding, causing strife to break-out between the brothers; Mike falls for an older woman; kidney stones strike a member of the wedding party.
America’s Best Dance Crew | 10pm on MTV
From across the country, 12 dance teams of five to seven members each compete before judges in an elimination challenge, recreating moves from music videos and classic movies; the winner, determined by viewer voting, gets cash and a touring contract.
Burn Notice | 10pm on USA
Michael befriends a human smuggler in hopes of locating a client’s captured sister. [GMMR: Today’s the last day to enter to win the BURN NOTICE Prize Pack, so if you haven’t entered yet you should go for it.]
Kathy Griffin: My Life of the D-List | 10pm on Bravo
Having already been overseas to Afghanistan and Iraq, where she acquired a new fan base of U.S. soldiers, Kathy decides to visit the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. to help the wounded troops heal with laughter.
Hopkins | 10pm on ABC
In the series conclusion, a first-year surgery resident lives with the consequences of a major mistake; a mother requires a complicated heart surgery; a neonatal unit rallies around a young couple who delivered a premature baby.
Seriously, there’s a lot to watch tonight. What will YOU be watching?
