You gotta love some solid Friday night TV, and that’s just what we have tonight with the season premieres of MONK, PSYCH and the new CBS drama, FLASHPOINT. You should probably stop what you’re doing and go set the TiVo now so you don’t forget. I’ll wait.
(whistle…whistle…whistle)
You done? Good.

Flashpoint | 10pm on CBS

When the team is called in, Parker shares his feelings about his own child in an effort to ease the intense situation. [GMMR: I wasn’t around last Friday and totally forgot to record the premiere. This isn’t normally my kind of show but it’s Keith Mars and I signed an oath to always support ex-Martians in whatever their endeavors.] Check out a scene from tonight’s episode:

Chuck Bartowski – is that a gun in your hand or are you just…getting ready in case you have to kill an evil mastermind that is hunting you down because you hold major international secrets in your head? Yeah, that’s why I thought.
CHUCK fans…we’re gonna have to wait until September 29th for the S2 premiere of CHUCK, but here’s a little taste courtesy of two new promos. More on CHUCK next week live from Comic Con.
Thanks to SJ for passing these along to me.

Who Went Home on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?

Updated Results: Want to know who went home on SYTYCD tonight? Click here to find out: Who Went Home on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (June 24)
PREVIOUS POST
Tonight we went from ten dancers down to eight when one girl and one guy went home on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. The results were a bit of a shock (at least for me), and I can’t say I was too pleased. Remember, this was the first week that America gets to decide who is going home. The guy and girl with the least amount of votes has to leave. No dancing for their lives, no judges intervening and fighting on their behalf. It’s all about who picked up the phone to vote. But before we get to who went home, let’s take a quick look back at tonight’s results show.
Dancing & Ditching…
Tonight the top ten opened the show with a fantastic Bollywood routine choreographed by Nakul. The choreography, the music, the costumes – all so very beautiful. I really love this style and I know we’ll be seeing more in the future.

Watch the EMMY Nominations with Kristin Chenoweth & Neil Patrick Harris

I have such a crush on both Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Chenoweth (what a thrill) but as everyday GMMR readers know I’ve never met Mr. Harris, but he has taken the coveted top spot on my ‘must meet’ list. Perhaps next week at Comic Con? I dare not dream.
But for those of you who weren’t able to watch the fabulous one-two punch of Chenoweth and Harris as they announced the EMMY nominations this morning, please enjoy this handy dandy video. I can’t remember a more amusing award nomination announcement ceremony. Usually these things are dry and don’t include commentary on the announcers dating life and adorable banter. Now I want these two to host…is that too much to ask?

Bad Blogger…Bad, Bad Blogger

Well aren’t I just the worst?! The answer is YES. The sob story begins with what turned out to feel like a really long day at work and ends with me falling asleep really early and missing almost all of Wednesday night TV. Told you I was a bad blogger. I managed to get in BIG BROTHER so there’s that, but PROJECT RUNWAY and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE…not so much.
For you SYTYCD fans, not to worry, you’ll still be getting my full take on all the performances as Dan and I will be doing a SYTYCD podcast tonight after the results show.
I’ll be sure to share my thougths on last night’s eviction from BIG BROTHER 10, as well as a few other TV updates, during my lunch break. PROJECT RUNWAY is probably going to be a Friday thing…sorry.
And don’t forget to check back to GMMR around 8:45ish to see the full list of Emmy nominations. Keep your fingers crossed for your favorites!
Please forgive me!
Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (Act II) – Live

DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG, the internet sensation sweeping the nation (and subsequently becoming a total time suck for me since I can’t stop watching it) is back today with it’s second installment ACT II.
After their first ‘audible connection’, Billy and Penny have struck up a nice laundership, but with her relationship with Captain Hammer growing, will Billy be able to sit back and watch or will he have to call on his inner badass, Dr. Horrible, to once again take on Captain Hammer? With Penny’s heart on the line, the stakes have been raised. Oh and the freeze ray thing…issues.
Watch ACT II now at www.DrHorrible.com. And if you’re a fan, why not head over to iTunes and but all three Acts for only $3.99. The videos will only be up at DrHorrible.com for a limited time so get to it.

Comments Off on BIG BROTHER’s Boneheaded Brian
Update: It’s a little too late now, but my apologies for accidentally turning off comments on this BB10 post. I got all your emails but not until right now. It’s about 10pm on Wednesday and I’m just setting in to watch tonight’s episode. More coming before I go to bed tonight so check back soon!
I don’t know what’s going to happen with the BIG BROTHER evictions this week, but I do know that Brian’s cockiness has me wanting him out and Renny to remain safe. And Renny drives me bat s#%t crazy, so that’s how much I was Brian out.
But let’s take a minute to recap how Brian even became a factor in this game. Current HOH, Jerry, nominated Renny and Jessie for eviction after their little spat brought them unwanted attention and put a target on their backs. But as we all know, being on the block doesn’t mean you’re going home. Not when the Golden Power of Veto is up for grabs.
What to Watch…Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Up until now Wednesdays have been the lamest night of weekly TV. Besides SYTYCD, I’ve struggled to even suggest shows to you all on this night (hence why every week I’m stuck suggesting SUPERNANNY and WIFE SWAP…ugh). But I’m happy to report that Wednesdays have taken a turn in the right direction with the premiere of BIG BROTHER and PROJECT RUNWAY. Not only are there things to watch, but there’s even DVR conflicts – none that can’t be worked out by moi, so it’s all rather exciting.
So You Think You Can Dance | 8pm on Fox
It’s an exciting night on SYTYCD. The 5 remaining couples are split up and paired with new partners this week. Last week’s eliminated contestant, Comfort Fedoke, returns to the competition in place of the injured Jessica King who has left the show this week. I can’t wait to see the new partnerships tonight.
Big Brother 10 | 8pm on CBS
The first eviction of the season comes tonight when the houseguests say buh bye to either Renny from New Orleans or Brian from San Francisco. My full recap of last night’s episode will be coming in just a bit, and I think I’m pretty clear about who I want to see go home tonight.
Project Runway | 10pm on Bravo | Season Premiere
Cameras go behind the scenes in the fifth season of this competition which features ambitious designers preparing a runway for a fall fashion show in New York. This is the show’s last season on Bravo before returning on Lifetime next year (sniff…sniff..this show IS Bravo). Will there be a Christian? A Santino? Uh Oh.
Those are the only shows I’ll be watching tonight, but I know there is a lot more to choose from. Which begs the question…What will YOU be watching tonight?
Amy Poehler to Star in OFFICE Spinoff?
July 15, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Filed under The Office, The Office Spinoff
About 10 minutes ago I received a cryptic message from an inside source with ties to THE OFFICE saying that there was going to be some interesting news surfacing soon. Just as I wrote back asking for more info (it’s late and I’m too tired to decipher clues) I checked The Hollywood Reporter and sure enough there is a story about Amy Poehler joining the cast of THE OFFICE spinoff. Supposedly she is in negotiations so nothing is set in stone. Hot damn…please let this be one of those rumors that is actually true.
According to THR, Poehler’s name first surfaced as a possible lead back in April. To date the only cast member officially cast is Aziz Ansari. Rumors were floating around that former OFFICE star Rashida Jones might have a part in the new show, but there hasn’t been any more buzz on that as of late. But maybe now that Rashida’s good friend Amy Poehler might be joining it might be a little added incentive for Ms. Jones. Oh speculation is a fun game.
(By the way, my first choice for the lead of the new show has always been Will Arnett…but I’ll certainly take his wife too – that’s what she said!)
I for one am over the moon at the idea of seeing Amy on anything associated with THE OFFICE. But the downside of course would be more Amy Poehler on SNL. Wah Wah.
Again it’s all rumor, but why not have fun speculating with me. Would you like to see Amy Poehler on THE OFFICE spinoff?
