And with a simple reveal this season of my favorite reality show comes to an end. It’s been an incredible season during which we’ve seen some simply amazing talent. But there is only one winner.
This year’s America Favorite Dancer, and winner of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 4 is….

YEAH! Thank you for posting so quickly. The finale was pushed for a stupid Bears preseason game here in Chicago. So while I have to wait until at least 11 to watch, at least I know the final result. Thanks GMMR!

#3 – Best Season Ever? I’m going to have to disagree with you on that one. Some of the best performances ever…absolutely, but season as a whole? Nope, at least not for me.
I’m glad he won – definitely deserved it.
Not my favorite season as a whole, but did have some good dancers. I did find myself not really caring who won, not because I loved all of them, but simply because I wasn’t drawn to any of the final 4 like I have in the past. My favorite dancers were kicked off in previous weeks so I didn’t really have anyone to cheer on for the finale.
Are you going to have the sections posted like you do of last night’s show? We just moved and my cable isn’t hooked up yet, so I missed the show…after not missing even a single episode all season. Anyway, you’d be my BFF if you posted those…
WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!! (And throw in a Mary-esque scream too). Joshua is such a cutie, so I’m glad he won. He seemed really, really calm … almost like it wasn’t sinking in that he had won the entire thing. He seems like a really sweet guy. This was my first season, so I’ll go ahead and say it was the best … though I’ve heard there have been better. 🙂
Season 2 is still my favorite season, but this season was really good. It brought me Mark, so I will be forever grateful. 🙂 I’m really happy Joshua won. He seems like a really humble and grateful guy.
How amazing was Mark tonight? He was just so on. But hands done the most amazing thing about tonight was that flawless pas des deux (is that right?) by Katee and Will. I didn’t fully appreciate it the first time around. I’ve watched it ten times already tonight…no lie.
I wished Katee could win…but Joshua was also OK~ Congratulation!おめでとう！

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Joshua you are sooooooooo wonderful. Bless God he won. He deserved it. I fell asleep trying to stay up after the game.
My DVR wasn’t recording tonight so I will have to wait a few days before I can see the episode in its entirity.
I did manage to catch the last 15 minutes. Unfortuanately FOX here in Dallas ruined the results. During their news teaser in the last commercial break they said to stay tuned to see coverage on the hometown winner of SYTYCD, Joshua Allen. So much for suspense. It was only a minute before the actual reaveal, but I would have much rather heard it from Cat Deeley.
Well… I was sorta pulling for Katee but Joshua is amazingly talented so no complaints here. It was a great show! The highlight for me was the Twitchington Viennese Waltz… soo beautiful, but the surprise of the night was Nigel!!! Hahahahaha! Daaaaayuuuuum the man can tap. Have a great time at the wedding Kath!
so much amazingness happened last night I don’t even know where to start!
First, CONGRATS to Joshua- he completely deserved it and I think was so so caught off guard- his face was just precious!
Praise all things wonderful for bringing back some previous SYTYCD dancers- I forgot how much I missed Neil and Ivan and Benji and Sarah and…yeah, basically all of them! That was for sure a highlight of the night!
We literally screamed out loud when Mary Murphy snapped opened Dmitry’s shirt last night- oh my goodness!! I don’t think any part of me was ready to witness that…
The fact that Mark had 2 dances last night, Bleeding Love being my absolute favorite, made my night- He was my favorite from the beginning and I still just can’t get enough of him! Thank you season 4 for bringing him to me, i mean us.
Great season overall- some unforgettable dances and dancers! Can’t wait till next year!
I missed all the old coreographers!! What happend to Shane Sparks and Dan Karity and Wade Robsin???
I think the judges overlooked the Mia Michaels bed routine performed by Twitchington. I thought that was one of the best routines of the season. The only thing I didn’t like about the finale was that they didn’t have all the previously eliminated couples perform a routine. It was just the same dancers performing over & over again because those where the routines the judges picked; of course they were better than some of there earlier routines b/c those dancers stayed the longest in the competition. I would have liked to see Thayne dance again and Courtney Lind, other than just in the group numbers.
I’m glad Joshua won, I really thought it was going to be Will, but after he was eliminated, I just knew it would be Josh. Katee came away with a nice prize too. I liked that Mary & Nigel got into the act as well (the woman can move!) and it was all around a fun two hours of television.
I’ll miss SYTYCD until next year.
Season after season I look for a better way to get the best dancer. But the guys keep rising to the top. Katee far out dance all of the dancers and the girls far out danced all of the men. More versital more talent and all around better skills. It is disappointing that the men win most of the time.

This young man was truly amazing the whole season was just phoemominal thanks to all the dancers because usually i would not have followed this close. glad I stsuck around congrats to Joshua you deserved it.

im so PUMPED joshua won! he didn’t become my very favorite until about the top 6, but i adored him the entire season. he’s the most versatile dancer they’ve ever had on the show, IMO.
i don’t know about the whole season being the best one, just because there were a lot of people who got voted off earlier who i didn’t really care for. but this top 4 was DEFINITELY my favorite top 4!! usually there’s at least one person who i don’t want to win, but this year i absolutely adored each one of them. i was surprised it didnt come down to joshua & katee, but twitch has been phenomenal this season too. the routines this season were the greatest too – there are SOOO many that stood out to me this year. thank you especially to mia, nappytab, & sonia for the pure goodness on stage 🙂
& getting a WADE DANCE was a joy!! & the old dancers coming back – i missed them!! especially dominic! & hok & neil & benji! & dmitry & anya were SMOKIN. the whole night was amazing.
Congratulations Joshua! I was hoping but thought that Twitch was the audience fave. Yea! It’s too bad that they can’t time it so that the winner AND runner-up get air time at the end. Way to rush Twitch off the stage, guys. And Katee couldn’t get to Josh for a hug at the end.
I have a feeling that the “girls prize” was a last minute addition because the judges really liked Katee. She was the best over-all dancer with all the best routines, FOR SURE. I loved how Mia said it when the choreographers “got” Katee and Will–what a combo! Those choreographers will be fighting over Katee for all their future projects.
I was preparing for Twitch to win and I told myself that it would be good for him since he’s older and this might be his highlight. Joshua has many more highlights to come and so does Katee. But I’ve been on the Josh bandwagon all season!
It was obvious that they had their “favorite” routines centering around the top 4. It’s too bad, then, that either Mark or Chelsie didn’t make it since they had some great ones besides just the Bleeding Love routine. Mia’s Tim Burton’s Wedding was far superior and they should have picked that one. Especially since they had Joshua and Katee dance the No Air which is similar to the Bleeding Love hip hop. Should’ve used the Bed routine instead of the Vienese Waltz. I wanted to see the Josh/Katee Samba, but since Mary danced to that song they couldn’t repeat. Liked seeing Dimitri! And Mary can move!
No mention of Jessica at all. Or Sabra. But they shove this weird rabbit routine down our throats. No thanks. Wade, love ya, but I’d rather see many other things besides that.
Can’t wait til next year! I loved the banter between all the judges! Next year’s battle Shankman and Lithgoe!
frankly Twitch should have won this whole season and he got robbed cause Joshua has nothing on him…but ok because i knew one of the guys wwould win this year so hooray..u won even though you were not the very best..
joshua was awsesome. but let not us forget his partner kate she was like a angel to watch. music was apart of her. she just felt every note… joshua deserves his win and he should feel so proud. just so good to watch. this was the best season yet. america has such great and incredible dancers. love the show.
all my best to joshua and i hope kate does well and someone finds her and takes her to the next level .. she’s wonderful…joshua deserved to win by far.. i am sure what ever he did he would excell at anything.. my congratulations. YOUR AWESOME.BRO……………

You completed various good points there. I did a search on the subject matter and found mainly persons will agree with your blog.
There several fascinating points over time here but I don’t know if I see them all center to heart. There exists some validity but Let me take hold opinion until I appear into it further. Quite good post , thanks and now we want a lot more! Included with FeedBurner at exactly the same time
