What to Watch…Monday, August 25, 2008

August 25, 2008 by

Happy Monday GMMRers.  I hope you all had a nice weekend.  I spent some time in New Hampshire with my family and had a great time.  We spent a bit of time watching the Olympics this weekend and I fear that I’m going to go through a bit of Olympic withdrawl this week.  I was surprised how caught up I was in the games.  It was an incredible two weeks.  But now it’s time to prep for Fall TV which is just around the corner.  It’s time to get excited!

But until Fall TV officially kicks off, there’s plenty to watch.  Here’s a few highlights of tonight’s TV schedule.

Rerun Central…
Some of my faves are in rerun mode tonight so I thought I would share a few with you. And remember, if you haven’t seen it it’s new to you!

  • The Big Bang Theory | 8pm on CBS : The men compete in the university’s lighthearted physics bowl, but Sheldon’s much-too-serious attitude forces them to replace him with his nemesis, Leslie Winkle (Sara Gilbert).
  • How I Met Your Mother | 8:30pm on CBS: Barney breaks the “Bro Code” in a matter involving Ted, and he has to deal with the consequences. Little Girl: Destiny Whitlock. Cindy: Megan McNulty. Carol: Alexis Krause.
  • Gossip Girl | 8pm on The CW: In the first-season finale, Blair comes to Serena’s defense and faces off with Georgina, while an emotional Serena finally comes clean to Dan about her past. Elsewhere, Lily continues planning her extravagant wedding to Bart.
  • Prison Break | 8pm on Fox: Michael and Linc make their way to Panama City and their date with Susan B., but Whistler isn’t with them. Meanwhile, Mahone waits for an appointment at a Panama City cantina.

I think I’ll watch some of deal or no deal at 8:00 then catch American’s Toughest Jobs at 9. Hills at 9:30 and the premiere of Exiled on MTV at 10:30

Exiled is a new show about 8 of those spoiled kids my super sweet 16 and how their parents ship them off to another country for a reality check.
Now that’s entertainment watching some spoiled kids actually have to work for a change. Call me mean but I’ll be enjoying it.

GMMR, reading your twitter, I am so sorry to hear about your mail issues. That is just horrible.

I too loved the Olympics, from 2-year to 4-year lags between them, I always forget how much I actually enjoy the games. Many of these athletes are forces of nature and I am in awe of all of them. And who had a dry eye when the US Men’s Vball team took gold and their coach who just lost his father-in-law two weeks ago had to go hide for a moment to collect himself. I also have to say that putting politics aside (which is difficult to do when human rights are being violated daily) that the Chinese did themselves proud. OMG, the architecture alone is amazing. I would not want to be in charge of planning n London right now as that was a mighty task to follow.
