CHUCK Gets Some Casting News & Some Great News
August 27, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Do you miss Chuck Bartowski? Yeah, me too, but we’re going to have to wait until September 29th to have Chuck and his cohorts back. I know it seems like a long ways away but I promise it will be here before you know it. But to help pass the time how about I pass a long a little CHUCK scoop…will that help?
As was first reported by Michael Ausiello, CHUCK is adding a few more names to its already kick ass line up of guest stars this season. Morgan Fairchild and Bruce”The Scarecrow” Boxleitner will be guesting as Mr. & Mrs. Awesome – the parents of Ryan McPartlin’s Captain Awesome. How awesome? (Sorry I have no will power, I just had to)
And file this under news that just make me giddy – Ausiello reports that Carl Lumbly will be coming on board as a”sensei” to NSA agent Casey, played by Adam Baldwin. Dixon!! You know I love me my ALIAS peeps. I’m pushing for Michael Vartan to guest next. Zachary Levi & Michael Vartan sharing screen time. Yeah…it’s too sweet to even imagine.
And now for some really fantastic news for all of us CHUCK fans – a little birdie just dropped me a line to share the news that CHUCK has already received the order for the back 9 episodes of the season. That means that NBC has officially picked up CHUCK for a full 22 episode season! Can I get ‘holla’! Picking up the back 9 before the second season even premieres is a huge vote of confidence from NBC. Kudos to Chuck and friends!

Saying it again… YAY!
When will S1 be out on DVD? Soon? I saw some episodes but missed more and want to get this show under my belt!
DIXON!!!!!! It’s exhausting all the work it takes to track down all my Alias gang. What better place for a reunion than Chuck? It’s Alias Light. Can’t Ron Rifkin find time for an evil cameo?
Vartan is available, no? His Big Shots is gone (forced myself to watch but thankfully I don’t have to anymore). If Vartan is busy, bring us Bradley Cooper! Will didn’t get enough episodes on Alias and he can come be a bad guy for a change on Chuck.
I sooo love seeing Spy Daddy on Eli Stone. And we all remember seeing the beloved Marshall on Chuck last season.
Sigh. I miss Alias.
I just saw Michael Vartan 1/2 hour ago. 🙂 He’s at my workplace filming a movie called Demoted!
