Neil Patrick Harris Eludes Me Once Again

So close yet so far. Once again that all to familiar phrase was appropriate today as I was thisclose to the #1 guy on my ‘Must Meet List’, Mr. Neil Patrick Harris. Yes, NPH and I were in the same place at the same time but didn’t meet. It’s almost cruel.
Earlier today my Pops and I headed down to Foxboro, MA for the season opener of the New England Patriots. And while it’s just too raw to talk about my feelings watching Tom Brady limp off the field in the first quarter (seriously I don’t want to talk about it), I will tell you how cool it was to see Neil Patrick Harris kind of up close.
Sadly the iPhone doesn’t zoom in so the pics aren’t all the great. But that’s him. Right on the field chatting it up with Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Neil and other CBS stars (including Jeff Probst) were in town for last night’s opening of the CBS Scene – a new state of the art dinner & entertainment complex at Gillette Stadium.
While on the field Neil was busy taking plenty of pics including snapshots of the cheerleaders (huh?) as well as the Patriots players running on to the field. They must have been some crazy good pictures (feel free to share them, Neil).
Neil Patrick Harris may have eluded me once again, but we will meet. Oh yes, it will happen.
P.S. A friend of mine that spent a little time with Neil this weekend said he was very nice. Always good to hear.

Kath I can’t believe you were there! My brother and I are big Pats fans and traveled from Canada to see the game live. We also couldn’t get over the random NPH sighting – what an awesome surprise he was there.

Nice! It was a tough game, but a win is a win. I wonder if we were sitting in the same area. Did they do anything with him on field that perhaps I missed before the game started?

I agree with your friend. I only met Neil once, but he was super nice and funny. I was so used to seeing him dressed in suits that I almost didn’t recognize him in his hat and black shirt!

they only showed him (NPH) briefly on the big video screen before the game and he did the Barney ‘my eyes on you/i’m watching you’ thing to the crowd which made me laugh very hard.
also, it was a tough game but it was fantastic to see the team pull together the win. and i was in the 300 level (i don’t think my seats were as good as yours) but it was a fantastic time. i love boston and i wish i could stay here forevvvver. 😀
