What to Watch…Monday, September 15, 2008
September 15, 2008 by Kath Skerry
There are plenty and I mean plenty of new shows to keep your eyes glued to the screen tonight, but take my advice and enjoy tonight while you can, because starting next week Monday night’s are going to be insane! I know what your thinking, “GMMR, why are saying that like it’s a bad thing?” I know I should enjoy the riches of the full breadth of the Monday night lineup, but I enjoy sleep too and I hate to sacrifice one for the other. But in the name of blogging and all things TV I will take on Monday and win!!
Until then, enjoy tonight’s fantastic lineup of TV.
Gossip Girl | 8pm on The CW
During a citywide blackout, Dan and Serena get to the heart of their problems while trapped in an elevator. Meanwhile, Blair fears her relationship with Marcus lacks passion; Nate is torn between Vanessa and Catherine. [GMMR: You must watch tonight’s episode. Sooo good. While I was watching I actually screamed at the TV saying “Oh My God, Chuck!” because there is a moment worthy of such a exclamation. I’ll give you a hint – in this moment we just happen to hear Ed Westwick’s (who plays Chuck) real life accent.]
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles | 8pm on Fox
Sarah checks out a nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, John’s schoolwork suffers, but his social circle widens when he makes a new friend; and Catherine Weaver continues to make progress with her project.
Prison Break | 9pm on Fox
The crew tracks another card down to the Turkish consulate in Los Angeles, but the cardholder isn’t the consul. Meanwhile, Wyatt arrives in L.A. with information about Sara he had extracted from Bennett; Michael and Linc happen upon T-Bag by chance.
One Tree Hill | 9pm on The CW
A death rocks Tree Hill, bringing Lucas home from Las Vegas and presenting Nathan and Haley with the difficult task of helping Jamie cope with the loss of someone close to all of them.
America’s Toughest Jobs | 9pm on NBC
The players try their hands at logging in Oregon, where they’re responsible for cutting with dangerous machinery and loading the timber onto trucks
The Closer | 9pm on TNT
Brenda and the team probe a teenager’s death, concluding that he was connected to plans for planting a bomb that could have killed hundreds of people, and now it is up to them to locate the hidden bomb before it detonates.
Raising the Bar | 10pm on TNT
Jerry assists a mentally ill client and ends up having a difficult time after Judge Kessler gives an order; a woman is taken to court after an incident at the welfare office and worries she won’t be able to care for her grandmother if convicted.
The Hills | 10pm on MTV
Not exactly sure what’s going on in tonight’s episode but I’ll give it a stab. Lauren is having some kind of dramatic issue with a friend|boyfriend|potential boyfriend|work. Meanwhile Heidi and Spencer continue their day to day lives without any knowledge that they are a huge joke. And I will still miss the days of LAGUNA BEACH.
